Good Hotel London is a re-designed platform located right on the water and offering views over the river Thames and city of London. From the outside, it looks like a giant, black container, with green roof and small windows. Inside, however, the design and atmosphere encourage groups to sit, eat and chat together. The reception is glued with a bar, and a library in one big lounging area. The hotel's look is different to others because its offers training and jobs to long-term unemployed people in the local community. The hotel rooms range between a cozy and a roomy and boasting a smart layout and contemporary aesthetics.

Excellent stay that exceeded expectations. Booked for the location and price, but fell in love with the thoughtfully designed room that maximised space, the stunning view and the story behind the hotel/commitment to social responsibility.

The location of this hotel is perfect it’s close to Excel centre and also the O2 however the rooms are tiny, there’s only one plug socket in the room and no TV or Phone, the bathroom was shabby and tiny and the whole place felt like a youth hostel rather than the four star hotel it was sold to me as. Staff were all really lovely and the rooftop bar was a nice touch. Breakfast was good and lots of choice would possibly stay again purely for the location

Had a really enjoyable overnight stay here as part of a package including tickets to The Tower of London. Good welcome on arrival, including an upgrade to a room with a view. The rooms are small, but have everything you need. Rooftop bar was very pleasant and breakfast was good, hot and fresh. The ethos of the hotel is laudable and the staff are very, very good. We recently stayed at The Sunborn, not very far away from The Good Hotel. We wouldn't go back to the Sunborn, but would return anytime to The Good Hotel

The location is great for accessing venues nearby (02, Excel etc.), however the hotel itself was disappointing. It was clear on booking that the rooms are relatively small and minimalist, however given how basic the rooms are, the essentials should have been better. The carpet was stained in two areas, there was dust gathered on the light directly above the bed, and there were stains on the wall. In the bathroom, the extractor vent was coming away from the wall, the towel rail was wobbly, and the shower unit was cracked. In the bedroom, the flex for the lamp in the had perished. In common areas, the reception looked tired, and there were areas where work was being carried out in the main corridor, which didn’t give a great overall impression. The biggest issue though was the soundproofing - unfortunately every conversation, sneeze, cough, and toilet flush from neighbouring rooms could be heard (neighbours were not being noisy, it was simply that there is nothing preventing noise travelling). Earplugs are provided in the room free of charge, but they don’t fix the underlying issue. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to raise concerns with staff before leaving, but they have since responded to the feedback form noting that the room will be deep cleaned, and the carpet is due to be replaced. Hopefully this happens, as based on the experience we had, we wouldn’t return.
