A 19th-century beauty meets the London of today: that’s what you’ll find at Kimpton Fitzroy London Hotel. From the outside, the landmark building, which occupies a full block along the eastern side of Russell Square in Bloomsbury, looks every bit the part of grande dame. Inside, though, contemporary interiors beckon the discerning traveler to settle in and stay a while—Negroni (or two) in hand. Live like a Londoner on Russell Square. With one foot in the city’s past and another in its present, our Bloomsbury location combines British creative heritage with modern amenities.Presiding gracefully over Russell Square, with a stylish restaurant, Champagne and afternoon tea lounge, a cafe, destination cocktail bar and gym, our 334-room hotel turns every event into a memorable occasion. With a nod to 20s glamour and British irreverence, such as the Kit Miles cushions depicting our resident dragon, Lucky George, each luxuriously styled bedroom by Tara Bernerd & Partners beautifully reflects the rich history of our iconic hotel. Uniquely Kimpton in-room extras include a mug featuring George the dragon and yoga mat to help you feel at home.

We just spent two nights at the wonderful Kimpton Fiztroy hotel in Bloomsbury Square. We were celebrating our two year anniversary as well as our recent engagement. Brittany Tandu was beyond helpful and made our stay very special. She sent a lovely little cake to our room, which was there upon our arrival, along with a handwritten card personalized with an actual photo of us on our engagement. Upon visiting the hotel social hour for a complimentary drink, we gave our room number verbally to Charlotte who had memorized our names and wished us a Happy Anniversary without the aid of a computer or smart phone which made us feel very special! Rosemary was also very sweet on the phone. The hotel is extremely beautiful and in an ideal location. it will definitely be our first stop anytime we visit London in the future.

We had a wonderful stay for 2 nights in May. We were granted an early check in, which was lovely, and we enjoyed both a dinner and a breakfast while at the hotel. Both were delicious and the staff was great. The room was a very good size and extremely clean and well maintained, and the staff left a small welcome gift. Everyone was so friendly, and despite the hotel being completely full it felt very quiet and not overwhelming. Highly recommend it as a good hotel for couples and families who want a great location near various transportation options but don't want to be in the busiest areas of London.

A great stay. The doorman from I think Spain even though he has red hair. Is an absolute star for this hotel. Lovely hotel.

The hotel has stunning architecture and decor with a beautiful grand staircase in the reception. Our room was clean, larger than I expected and comfortable. I wanted to give a huge thank you to Christine at reception who helped us with modifications to our reservation etc due to changing personal circumstances. She was helpful, patient and understanding and is a huge asset to the hotel! Through her competence and impeccable professionalism she made what could have been stressful a seamless experience and we were grateful!
