Kimpton Fitzroy London

We stayed at the Kimpton Fitzroy for two evenings during the first weekend in September. It is ideally located it is just around the corner from Russell Square tube station. While there, we had the absolute best stay. As we entered the hotel, the doorman David remembered us from a previous stay. As we entered our room, the suite we were staying in was not only beautiful, but absolutely spotless. The ambience of the hotel enables you to chill from merely walking up the steps to enter. On the second evening, we joined the social hour and then ate at the restaurant. When we entered we were reunited with Marina, who who met on a previous visit. It felt like we had returned to visit a friend as she remember my husband and I. Following the best food that I have eaten since the previous visit here, we entered Fitz' bar. We were lucky enough to be looked after all night by Artem. Every member of staff who we were lucky enough to encounter simply helped to make the trip all the more special. We were fortunate enough to be reunited with Rosemary and Roksana who did so much behind the scenes to make our stay special beyond our wildest dreams. When we return to this hotel, we are just staying in a room/suite, but we are returning for pure luxury on a level that comes with the best and most attentive and friendly staff.

The historic building of this hotel creates a truly unique atmosphere. One feels as if one is living in a medieval castle. The rooms are small but cozy, the linens are clean, and the beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are a bit small. The breakfast is good, but perhaps not quite up to the standard one might expect from such a high-class hotel. All in all, though, the hotel is recommended.

This hotel consistently delivers an incredible experience. The location is convenient and the staff go above and beyond. I‘ve stayed here many times over the years and am never disappointed. In particular, Brittany Tandu from Guest Services took better care of me than anywhere else I‘ve been, day after day for an entire week. The staff is truly great and attentive. I had everything I needed and more. This will remain my home away from home every time I‘m in town.

It’s a beautiful hotel. Unlike Our dinner experience nearby; I would expect To be greeted with Happy Anniversary at the front desk after I told them in advance that it was our 30th- no welcome Greeting and a somewhat vanilla greeting. The room is nice and they did get us an early check in and a high room which we requested. They did send up a little dessert for our anniversary. The wait staff in Fitzs was good as was the front doormen. Location to Covent Garden and west End Good. Check out Swans Pub nearby.

Fantastic stay at the Kimpton - we were there for 6 nights in August and loved the location and the local neighbourhood. The building is beautiful and the room was true to the website photos - spacious, clean, with lots of light and great amenities. We were really impressed with the staff, and especially Rosemary from Guest Services who was so friendly and helpful - she really added a personal touch that made us feel welcome and keen to come back. Would highly recommend!
