Disappointing on check out
This is a nice hotel and prior to check out we probably would have booked it again but on check out they tried to add on an additional optional charge (a percentage of every night's stay), they advised this goes to staff. I have never encountered this at a hotel before, and they already add 15% to all purchased food/drinks. I advised to remove same, feels like a last attempt to money grab. Then I checked my card charges a few days later, there was an extra charge on my card, I called the hotel to query it. I was asked did I take the umbrella from the room, I advised no. Charge was checked and I was advised they charged the wrong room. Doesn’t seem like 5 star service to me.

Loved it
We loved our stay here overall. The room was very nice. Comfortable bed. The hotel is very quiet. The “Residence” area for guests was a very nice option to relax outside your room but in a quieter area than the main restaurant and bar, which were often very busy. It’s a great location and a quick walk to the Underground. We booked using the Amex Platinum Fine Hotels and Resorts, and they offer the kind of benefits you’d expect in terms of the breakfast plan and additional credits. The breakfast buffet was very nice. We also did dinner at the restaurant and afternoon tea, which were both nice as well. Overall this is a very nice hotel, and we would definitely stay here again.

Love the bar here
Such a lovely hotel. Often go there for a drink with friends and the staff are wonderful. In particular Demetrius in the bar made us feel very welcomed and found us a table despite how busy it was.
