About the Hotel

NoMad London takes residence inside the historic, grade II-listed building famously known as The Bow Street Magistrates’ Court and Police Station. A collaboration with New York-based interior design studio Roman and Williams, the transformation of the storied 19th century building draws inspiration from its history and location in Covent Garden, as well as exploring the artistic and cultural connection between London and New York. Dining and drinks are central to the NoMad experience. The Restaurant and Side Hustle at NoMad London are now open, and look forward to welcoming you.

Reviews for NoMad London

Elegant, Peaceful, and an Exceptional London Retreat

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

I treated myself to a long weekend at the NoMad London and can honestly say it exceeded my already high expectations. The location is difficult to beat. You're literally steps from Covent Garden and directly across from the Royal Opera House, yet once you step through the doors, the city seems to disappear. The hotel feels quiet, refined and peaceful. It's elegant without ever becoming pretentious or stuffy, which is a balance many luxury properties attempt but few actually achieve. My room was beautifully appointed, with excellent linens, plenty of space, and a genuinely comfortable bed. Housekeeping and turndown service were superb throughout my stay and never missed a detail. Every interaction felt thoughtful and professional. The staff were consistently warm and welcoming, and a special thank you to Anna in The Library, who helped make my stay particularly memorable. The only thing preventing this from being a near-perfect review is the breakfast service, which felt surprisingly inconsistent. Regardless of the day or time, the team often seemed caught off guard by the arrival of guests. Service ranged from frenetic, with managers visibly jumping in to help, to extremely relaxed, with some servers moving at a pace that suggested time was more of a suggestion than a reality. I appreciate the idea of encouraging guests to linger over breakfast, but not everyone is looking for a 40-plus-minute commitment before starting their day. There was some confusion around menu ingredients as well. Not all ingredients are listed, and when I asked questions about dishes, the answers were sometimes incomplete. If you have dietary restrictions or preferences, particularly around dairy or mayonnaise, it's worth asking very specific follow-up questions. To be clear, none of this felt like a lack of effort or care. Quite the opposite. Every member of the team seemed genuinely committed to providing excellent service. The challenge appeared to be that different people had very different ideas about what excellent service looked like, and at what pace it should be delivered. One practical note for solo travellers considering Side Hustle: arrive early if you want a seat at the bar, or be prepared that you may be seated at what is effectively a counter, with some seats facing the wall. The setup is a bit unusual, somewhere between a bar, diner and restaurant. If you're dining as a group of two or more, this is unlikely to be an issue. If you're alone, even with a reservation, your experience may vary. That said, the hotel was more than happy to serve Side Hustle menu items in Twenty8, which allowed me to enjoy the food at a proper table. Overall, NoMad London delivers something increasingly rare: a luxury hotel that feels genuinely welcoming. It is polished without being intimidating, luxurious without being flashy, and offers a sense of calm that is remarkable given its location in the heart of one of London's busiest neighbourhoods. I would return without hesitation.

Perfect stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Our stay was fabulous. I can't recommend the NoMad enough and hope to return! We are extremely appreciative that the NoMad recognized our Lifetime Diamond Status and upgraded us. It made our stay extremely special. Harsha was very kind at our check in. She went above and beyond to let us know about the upgrade, gave us a drink voucher (for our Bday celebrations), and made sure we were able to check in a little early – she was a treasure. Other experiences we greatly noticed and appreciated: 1. The décor all over the hotel and rooms is gorgeous and luxurious. 2. The little details in the room, i.e.: the Dyson, the slippers, cookie treat upon arrival, waters, dust cloths for our glasses, pen/notepad, robes, etc. 3. Lovely breakfast 4. The library for a quiet cocktail 5. The staff is exceptional – from the doormen to the front desk to housekeeping. 6. The location was perfect and walkable . 7. Our room was cleaned better than many hotels we stay at. 8. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet.

Humiliated and profiled at the door , go visit if you r okay with that

My family and I were so excited for our Sunday brunch reservation at Twenty8, but the experience turned into a nightmare before we even stepped inside. At the entrance, a gentleman in a black suit blocked our path. He looked us up and down with utter contempt, giving us a deeply belittling look that made us feel incredibly small. He coldly demanded to know our "reason for entering the hotel." Meanwhile, right next to us, multiple other groups walked straight through the doors, completely unquestioned and warmly welcomed. We were immaculately dressed for the occasion, yet we were singled out and made to feel like common trespassers. To be publicly interrogated and looked down upon in front of my wife and children was absolutely devastating, I am sure we were racially profiled . We left immediately, feeling degraded and deeply hurt. What was supposed to be a beautiful family afternoon was completely ruined by shocking snobbery. If you don't want to be judged and humiliated based on a staff member's whim, avoid this place.

Cool place for drinks

We stopped in here for drinks only which we enjoyed in the very cool library area. The drinks menu was excellent. A really cool place just next to Covent Garden.

5 star service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

I have nothing but glowing things to say about this hotel and from a service perspective, it was the best of our UK/European Travels. The mood of the hotel is pretty epic. Dark and emotional- yet the atrium restaurant is light and so pretty. We had room 411- awesome space if you have a family and value personality in a hotel. The front desk staff went way above and beyond. Free drinks because our room was ready 15 minutes past 3. A discount on a ride that had the smell of stale cigarettes and was hard on my chronically ill kiddo. When a hotel takes responsibility for minor inconveniences that are often beyond their control, I am always super impressed. The food was lovely. Sometimes slow service in the restaurant but everyone was pleasant and a more relaxed vibe is common in London. I mentioned our interest in the art and they had a whole folder printed out for us. I would not hesitate to stay again!!!!
