I can't fault any Shangri La hotel that I have stayed in. Premier City View room was great and I love the details of little binoculars on the desk for you to use. If someone could get hold of the Jo Loves Shampoo and Conditioner it would appreciated (made my hair smell amazing but not available to buy online)

Staying at Shangri-La The Shard, London is more than just a hotel visit; it is a "bucket list" experience that offers an unparalleled connection to the city. From the 35th-floor lobby to the highest pool in Western Europe, every detail is designed to maximize the breathtaking views and provide world-class Asian-inspired hospitality. What Makes It a 5-Star Experience: * Breathtaking Views: Guests frequently mention that the floor-to-ceiling windows provide the most spectacular panoramas of London. For the ultimate experience, reviewers recommend booking a "Bathroom With A View" room to enjoy a soak overlooking landmarks like Tower Bridge. * The Sky Pool & Wellness: Located on level 52, the infinity pool is a standout feature. Visitors describe it as "phenomenal" and a "delight," noting that the adjacent sauna offers equally incredible views over Greater London. * Signature Dining: TĪNG Restaurant serves a brilliant fusion of British and Asian cuisine. Reviewers highly praise the breakfast buffet and the "Winter Afternoon Tea," while GŎNG Bar is noted as a perfect spot for cocktails at the highest point in the city. * Impeccable Service: The staff are often described as "amazing," "helpful," and "obtrusive." Guests appreciate the personalized touches, such as early check-ins being accommodated for celebrations and the attentive "bath butler" service available in suites. * Luxurious Rooms: The rooms are lauded for their comfort, featuring body-contouring Shangri-La beds, marble-clad bathrooms with heated floors, and high-tech controls for lighting and shades. Small additions like binoculars in every room help guests fully appreciate the skyline. Pro-Tip for Visitors: If you aren't staying overnight, consider booking the Sunday Brunch in the Clouds at the Sky Lounge or a window table for Afternoon Tea at TĪNG. Both offer the same legendary views and service in a slightly more accessible format. Final Verdict: While it is undeniably a splurge, the combination of the iconic setting, the Zen-like atmosphere, and the exceptional staff makes it worth every penny for a special occasion. Highly recommended!

Stunning hotel in a great location. Very clean rooms and good amenities. This hotel was however not cheap, so I do have the following comments: - The view was amazing and I was excited to have a bath overlooking London. I quickly realised however that I was also looking directly into our neighbours room, and vice versa, so I had to close the blinds for my bath which definitely ruined the experience. There was also a note in the room advising that window cleaners may go past the windows, so definitely not the privacy you would expect. I presumed there would be privacy glass but be warned, there is not. -On check out we were charged an additional £33ish for "cleaning service charge". I find this to be extremely cheeky considering the price of the rooms, of course I would expect cleaning to be included. -Extra touches were missing. Although this was a very nice hotel, there were no special touches to set it apart. For example, no chocolate on your pillow at turndown. Service was also highly variable. Some staff members were great but others came across as cold and unfriendly. -Lack of plugs and mirrors. There was nowhere to comfortably stand and straighten hair etc. The only good mirror was in the bathroom so if someone was in the shower you have to wait. The full length mirror is about 75mm wide so it's hard to see yourself. All in all, we had a pleasant stay but I don't think it was worth the high price and I would try somewhere new next time.

We had an outstanding stay with friends at Shangri-La The Shard, the hotel is l living up to its reputation with breathtaking views over London. Everything was flawless from start to finish, starting with the warm welcome at reception where Elias was incredibly friendly and attentive. The rooms were spacious and, impeccable service, and luxurious atmosphere made our getaway truly memorable . The only downside was the breakfast welcome, which could have been a touch warmer, but it didn’t detract from our enjoyment at all.

This was our first time at the Shangri-La The Shard, chosen after carefully researching luxury London hotels for a once in a lifetime celebration, our mum’s 70th. We wanted to make a special family memory, especially as mum has been living with a long-term health condition. To say it exceeded our expectations is an understatement. From the moment we arrived, Jessica welcomed us with such warmth and care, making Mum feel truly special. She looked after us throughout our stay and nothing was too much trouble; she even arranged for a surprise birthday cake for mum. In our room, we soaked up the breath-taking skyline views, and we made the most of the relaxing pool and sauna, where Angelica continued the impeccable service with thought and care. Another highlight was breakfast. We had a window table with a wonderful view, and Viola could not have been more attentive, checking often to ensure mum was comfortable. She took our drinks order, and when we returned to our table with fruit, a surprise birthday card was waiting for Mum. It was one of many thoughtful touches that made our stay unforgettable. We enjoyed the room, the facilities, and the views and genuinely could not share a way to improve our stay. Overall, it was the team’s kindness and outstanding attention to detail which made all the difference. A big thank you, Jessica, Viola and Angelica, for making our family celebration unforgettable. We’re already saving for our next visit!
