10+ STARS

Julio the bartender is top notch! Fast paced and serves excellent drinks. Patti is a sweetheart. She approaches with stellar charisma and is what anyone would appreciate to see when entering the hotel! We loved our stay here. 100% recommend.

Poorly managed hotel & never coming back!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Firstly, I would not stay here again. The price for a one night stay was significantly overpriced for a poorly managed hotel. The elevators were broken/malfunctioning during our stay, so we waited 10 min in the lobby just to get to our room. Along w 15/20 other guests, and it was so bad we couldn’t then all fit into the elevator so we had to wait another 10 min for the second elevator to arrive. Then it stopped on every floor on the way up or down causing severe crowding inside the elevator. Then let’s talk about the rooftop pool. Overcrowded, no clean towels, dirty cups and drinks and trash everywhere. The chairs are all askew, wet and dirty towels left from people who are no longer using said chairs. All the while, wait staff is walking by countless times and not cleaning up anything. Didn’t get asked 1x if I wanted a drink or a snack, nothing. Had to get more towels ourselves by knocking on a door next to the empty stand of towels just to get some. The bathrooms are Gross, no toilet paper or paper towels, and the inside of the toilet was disgusting. The lobby staff at the desk cannot answer questions about the pool or beach access, have to go to the beach access area and then you wait there w out being acknowledged - then it’s a laundry list of questions to get a beach pass and or chair or towel. Oh and if you lose said beach pass there is a $250 charge, but they don’t give you a receipt of the transaction of giving you the beach card or returning it. So if a $250 charge shows up on my bill, I cannot say no I returned it on x day. This hotel is overpriced and so poorly managed, I will never come back. Don’t stay here, Airbnb if you can! You’re welcome!

Extremely Disappointed with Service and Practices at the Allegria Hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Extremely Disappointed with Service and Practices at the Allegria Hotel We reserved a large block of rooms at the Allegria Hotel for my daughter’s wedding, expecting a memorable and smooth experience. Instead, our group encountered very poor service and unfair business practices that other guests should be aware of! As the only hotel in Long Beach, Allegria enjoys a virtual monopoly and charges extremely high prices that simply do not match the quality of service. They keep a credit card on file, pre-charge for virtually everything well in advance, and have a strict no-refund policy. We found significant inaccuracies on our final bill, such as valet parking charges for cars we never used and even a $2,000+ room charge for a room we never occupied. The most troubling issue was with the bell staff. We entrusted them with multiple wedding-related accessories—items worth hundreds of dollars and with tremendous sentimental value—which were simply lost. The hotel has no process for checking in or releasing guest property; items are carelessly placed in a large closet and retrieved on the “honor system” (or dishonor system). Detailed lists of the missing items and follow-up requests were ignored. The staff showed no interest in resolving billing discrepancies, and our attempts to correct invalid charges were met with inflexibility and disregard. The $2,000+ charge for the unoccupied room was eventually refunded, but only after repeated phone calls and emails. Their response to phantom valet charges and the lost wedding accessories was met with extreme indifference and a lack of accountability The hotel is also rigid about its late 4 PM check-in policy, which forces guests to check their belongings with the bell staff (see above). Overall, guest concerns are treated with indifference. The lack of accountability and the outright refusal to remove invalid charges or address lost possessions made our stay deeply stressful and disappointing. If you’re planning a special event or simply looking for a hassle-free hotel stay, I do not recommend this hotel. I hope the Allegria Hotel re-evaluates and upgrades its customer service and property management policies so future guests don’t experience what we did. UPDATE: General Manager, Guest Services / Front Office at Allegria Hotel, responded in part : “To clarify, all charges for the additional room were fully refunded, and although the hotel is not responsible for lost or left-behind items, we issued a one-time courtesy credit for the accessories left behind” However, I wish to emphasize that this is incorrect - NO one-time credit for the accessories was ever issued!

Dinner at the beach

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

We recently ate dinner outside. The restaurant was a bit chaotic so we went outside where we were greeted by Lois our waitress. Lois is phenomenal and made the whole experience that much better. We would go back especially if Lois was our server. She is a true asset to the establishment.
