My wife and I recently vacationed in the Sarasota/Longboat Key area, staying at the Resort at Longboat Key Club for a week beginning November 29, 2025. We found the hotel to be very pleasant, with excellent beach access and high-quality dining options. The Guest Services Manager, Marvin Palacios, assisted us with resort information and facilitated our reservation prior to our stay. He was truly exceptional to work with and consistently provided outstanding customer service throughout the entire process. Marvin responded promptly and courteously to several emails and phone calls, and we greatly appreciate all of his support and assistance. During our stay, we encountered a few minor issues, including parking lot construction that disrupted our quiet time. However, Resort Manager JonPaul was extremely helpful and ensured that we were taken care of throughout our visit. We would like to extend our gratitude to both Marvin and JonPaul for their exceptional assistance. Overall, our experience was enjoyable, and we greatly appreciated the amenities and service provided. Regards, Mike and Sherry D.

We have stayed at this resort a number of times over the years, always in a two bedroom deluxe unit with gulf views which is very nice. However this trip there was just two of us and we were only there for a few nights so we booked a one bedroom unit which was good except for the fact that it was on the second floor right by the pool bar which could be quite noisy at times. Add to that the squawking seagulls that like to fly above the pool deck and land in the pool (gross), these things made the room location less than ideal as it wasn’t relaxing to sit on the balcony and enjoy the weather. If you prefer a more relaxing, quieter vacation just request a room that’s not in building three too close to the pool bar/pool. Housekeeping was great! Our room was made up nicely on a timely basis each day and replenished with additional bottles of water. The beach by the resort is less deep than previous years but still lovely. Too bad guests have to pay $25 for a beach umbrella each day while they are free around the pool. The pool deck team does a good job keeping the chairs, tables and umbrellas around the pool looking tidy. The pool bar team makes great pina coladas. We enjoy having a room with a kitchen with a fridge to store grocery purchases to have breakfast, snacks and drinks in the room and Longboat kitchens work well.

We have been staying at Longboat Key Club for many years. The resort is amazing. We are some of your biggest fans. The service is always world class. The biggest reason we continue to come back is the people. The entire team is always so welcoming and warm. This time in particular we want to acknowledge Greg the concierge. He has gone over and above for our family every time we have visited. He has a true gift of hospitality and should be celebrated. Thank you, Greg! Josh, Stephanie and Stella

Longboat Key Club & Resort without a doubt should be listed as a five-star resort. The staff, location, cuisine and activities all equate to the favorite all time resort at which my family loves to stay. The two-bedroom deluxe unit is outstanding with an unbeatable view. Longboat Key is close to St. Armands Circle so shopping is a fabulous day trip. The new spa at the Key Club is also a nice relaxing day. Tennis, golf and water sports on property, but nothing beats the beautiful white fine sugar sand of the Gulf of Mexico. The evenings bring the best in many gourmet restaurants within close proximity, and most are listed in Wine Spectator. No matter where our family goes in the world, this resort is our all time favorite!
