I stayed with my family this past June for Father's Day at The Resort Longboat Key Club. What a great experience we had as a family! Starting from the front desk management's accommodating us, our room was perfect and very spacious. We enjoyed the beach view and pool from our balcony. We had a superb stay and enjoyed the amenities. My husband and son had a fantastic time playing golf together. Special thanks to the entire staff, from the bellman Dean, Miguel, Dane, and Angelo to the servers at Latitude, Nicole and Banyan, Paula and Anastasia. Also, the new pool attendant who started the job and the beach attendant who just got promoted to be a manager in that area—they all did an excellent job! We also had a delightful dinner at the Tavern restaurant, and everything was exquisite! We are still savoring and feeling the prime vibes! We will be back as we discovered a Treasure in the pristine West Coast of Florida!

The resort as a whole is very nice. The pool is small but most people likely go for the beach even though you have to pay for chairs and umbrellas there. Paula at the pool was by far our favorite staff member. It was nice to be able to have a full kitchen in the room too. My only complaint is that there was roof construction on our building that woke us up multiple days. They didn’t tell us in advance. I would have paid for a more expensive room if they would have told us before so we wouldn’t be woken up and disturbed if we went back to the room.

Had a great experience! Yadier at the front desk was fantastic and was helpful as I navigated a flight cancellation which caused a delay in my arrival.

Overall, a wonderful place. Amazing location, beach is beautiful and pool is nice. Room was fairly new and very nice - large bathroom, kitchen, washer/dryer. And the service was great. Almost everyone we encountered that worked there was so kind and accommodating. Sam and Paula at pool always had a smile and Anastasia and Abigail at breakfast, lovely. But for the most part, all staff and service was excellent. The only area for improvement would be food. The food itself is ok. Would love to have coffee for guests in the lobby as many hotels do now (it’s in the room but I wasn’t able to go to the store for milk) and some sort of quick and easy to-go food situation. Two mornings there were several of us trying to leave for golf and tennis trying to get food to go from Latitudes from the one person working behind the bar. Even a wait for a muffin was long. Maybe some of the other servers could jump in and help or allow people to take food to go from the buffet (when asked if I could make a bagel to go at the buffet and was willing to pay the full price of the buffet, I was told no, the buffet was only for people sitting down to eat, of which, there were very few at that time). Highly recommend just needs some food management adjustments!

We have stayed at this property many times and it continues to impress, all the staff (especially Julia at reception) were exceptional, going out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The rooms are very nice with daily housekeeping, the beach and Gulf water were beautiful and the pool area is very nice. Upscale beach front resorts aren’t cheap, but the Longboat key club is a decent value. One more thing, Latitudes the onsite restaurant was vey good for lunch.

Longboat Key Club & Resort without a doubt should be listed as a five-star resort. The staff, location, cuisine and activities all equate to the favorite all time resort at which my family loves to stay. The two-bedroom deluxe unit is outstanding with an unbeatable view. Longboat Key is close to St. Armands Circle so shopping is a fabulous day trip. The new spa at the Key Club is also a nice relaxing day. Tennis, golf and water sports on property, but nothing beats the beautiful white fine sugar sand of the Gulf of Mexico. The evenings bring the best in many gourmet restaurants within close proximity, and most are listed in Wine Spectator. No matter where our family goes in the world, this resort is our all time favorite!
