What a special place. We have friends who go every year and now I understand. We went with our 6 year old and two sets of grandparents in a two bedroom and one bedroom suite. The rooms are so spacious and perfect for families. The beach is great for little ones, calm and clear. This is a place you come to truly relax. The staff go above and beyond to make that happen. Our little girl asked to be part of the review, so here is her take “that was like a million on a scale of 1 to 10 for vacations.” We love to travel far and wide, but we have decided this is the one resort that will be a family tradition.

2026 was a stressful year for my wife and me. We were looking for the “resort experience” as opposed to a vacation running to see one thing or another. The LBK Club delivered in spades. First class amenities, experienced, well trained staff that met our every need, and perfect facilities. Sarasota does offer lots to do. We ventured out to paddle in the mangroves, visit the aquarium, and walk Armond Circle. We are looking to make our reservation for next year now!

One of my favorite vacation spot. It was beautiful as usual and the service was excellent all the way around. We will be back for sure.

Great resort for golf, tennis and relaxing. Confortable and clean rooms, attentive staff and conveniently located closed to St Armand Circle. Shuttle service to all amenities in the club and the circle. When booking asks questions about open restaurants and buffets as not to be surprised once at the resort.

⭐☆☆☆☆ We are extremely disappointed with our experience at The Resort at Longboat Key Club. We are a party of three and booked a one-bedroom suite at approximately $800 per night, expecting the level of service that a luxury resort should provide. To our surprise, the beach service includes only two lounge chairs, even though our reservation is for three registered guests. If the third guest wants a chair, there is an additional daily charge. Even more surprising, umbrellas are not included and must also be rented separately. When we brought this issue to the front desk, we expected at least an attempt to find a reasonable solution. Instead, the response was dismissive. The manager simply told us that the beach concession was “not their problem” and made no effort to assist or advocate for hotel guests. At this price point, charging extra for basic beach amenities for a registered guest is already disappointing. What is truly unacceptable is the complete lack of customer care and accountability when a guest raises a legitimate concern. Luxury is not just about the room—it’s about how guests are treated. Unfortunately, our first day at this resort left us feeling undervalued and unwelcome. Unless management changes both its policies and its attitude toward guest service, I would have a hard time recommending this property.

Longboat Key Club & Resort without a doubt should be listed as a five-star resort. The staff, location, cuisine and activities all equate to the favorite all time resort at which my family loves to stay. The two-bedroom deluxe unit is outstanding with an unbeatable view. Longboat Key is close to St. Armands Circle so shopping is a fabulous day trip. The new spa at the Key Club is also a nice relaxing day. Tennis, golf and water sports on property, but nothing beats the beautiful white fine sugar sand of the Gulf of Mexico. The evenings bring the best in many gourmet restaurants within close proximity, and most are listed in Wine Spectator. No matter where our family goes in the world, this resort is our all time favorite!
