Reviews for Cameo Beverly Hills

Ok but certain issues to know

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

Despite the great location, the hotel is just OK and struggling. Staff is trying but it is clearly understaffed and management and ownership seem weak/not supporting them. They are trying to renovate in place while serving guests so there are construction annoyances. Rooms were fine with nice views but the small things accrue: public bathrooms not cleaned and missing toilet paper, front desk not answering the phone, dirty dishes not cleared from poolside for 12 hours, poolside “ice” water that is lukewarm, etc., so don’t expect 4 stars despite the rating/reviews. Also be aware that parking is $77 a day unlimited valet—there is no other option. Valets did a great job, very efficient, but add $100/day to your room cost once you factor in tips on top of the $77.

Exactly What I Needed, Beautiful Place to Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Currently staying at the Cameo Beverly Hills and it’s been a great experience so far. The room is beautiful—hardwood floors, clean design, and a calm vibe that makes it easy to relax and reset. Staff has been super welcoming and helpful. Definitely the kind of place that makes you feel tucked away in the middle of the city. Loving it here.

Great stay, exceptional service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

I had a great time staying at the Cameo BH. I went to the front desk to see if I could get some tea because I wasn’t feeling well — and that’s when I met Dessy, who’s Indonesian (I lived there for a decade!). We ended up bonding and speaking Indonesian together for almost 30 minutes! Another staff member, Jared, shared that he's learning Spanish so he can better connect with guests in their own language. I loved how inviting and friendly they both were. By the time Dessy and I finished swapping favorite memories of Indonesia, I no longer felt unwell! The location, room, and service were all excellent — but honestly, it was connecting with the staff that made my stay so special. I'd definitely come back. :)

Good Stay But Many Complaints

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

1st complaint Checked in after 11 hour flight and was sleepy and tied but load music and talking can be heard from next room, told front desk but they carried on and then couple hours when got to sleep they started banging on walls and nothing was done about it. They did say they had no rooms to swap me and come ask in morning but sadly had plans so emailed them explaining.what Happened but sadly been ignored. 2nd complaint Key cards always keep locking me out my room how many times have to keep going to front desk 3rd Complaint housekeeper invasions off privacy ignoring Do Not Disturb Signs could been on shower or sleep In bed. Walked in my room with all my belongings moved and went in a panic and since there building.work going on shut the curtains but they opened up. I got letter saying that housekeeper notice nothing on front door but after complained and went to my room found it hanging on wall again so got 3 dnd signs now and that after spoken to hotel person plus have vid of everyday of the door since ocd and thing was there when left. They did give me 50 dollar food voucher but sadly it was too late since next morning checking out. But did use it on breakfast but was in rush to go on last tour around la 4th complaint no fridge in room or tea and coffee items nearly all hotels have them now including 4 stars ones. 5th complaint items in room like radio was broken and chairs ripped and load noise coming form the wall and air con not working can’t feel anything Positive note in good area and bed was nice and comfortable and balcony was good but not a 5 star hotel since 4 star hotels offer more then this place and would stay here again maybe but sadly would like abit of refund on my stay and not voucher for food and drink

Great location and value

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Clean rooms and great location. The building shows its age but excellent service and amenities for a reasonable price make up for that. Food at the restaurant was great. The valets (Sam, Drake, Quin) were super helpful. I would certainly stay here again.
