I will give this hotel two stars for its location and charm but thank goodness I only stayed there one night. It started off nice with no charge for a room change, but after that it was not so good. The front desk person had a condescending tone to her voice and said things like "I'll have you come over here" pointing to the other side of the desk where I was standing, and then "I'll need your ID to start"...not once a simple please. The room was clean, but noisy from people coming home after 2:00 am and door slamming close. But my biggest complaint is the extra charges and taxes. My room charge was $147 for the night but the total charge was $214 ($74 or 50% extra charges) one of which was a $35 "urban amenities fee" plus $5 of taxes on top of it.When I called to inquire about the cost, the again poorly trained front desk person said the charge was for the amenities at the hotel like the Wifi (we were never given a password) the pool (which was cold) the gym and even the soap in the bathroom. There is not parking except valet which is $65 a night. There was no coffee in the morning, to make another pot took 15 minutes and the kitchen had to be asked to bring it out. I get it that it's LA but come on have a bit more transparency about your hidden costs.

The hotel was very average, nice staff but yeah. What was absolutely dreadful was I saw they charged me an additional $430 for my stay. I have been fighting with them and the bank since to get it, this has led to the last day of my vacation being on the phone, panicked I wont have enough money to get home. Don't put yourself or your family through this, find somewhere else!

Nothing to say about the hotel. Hallways and reception stunk, air con was unreliable, the deposit was over $450 and takes over 30 days to go back in.

Room was extremely noisey, from both the air conditioning unit and people using the stairs. Hotel looking a little tired u. General.

Hotel Ziggy and the room are great. However since Pizza Girl has taken over B Side Pizza, the breakfast and main dining menus are extremely limited
