I used to enjoy here, but because STK and their restaurant by the pool has been taken out, it isn't the same anymore. I have stayed here a few times before and I always enjoyed it. Their breakfast by the pool was one I emjoyed and the dinner at STK as well. It was vibing then! Staying at this caliber of hotel without access to a restaurant has changed the vibe of the hotel tremendously. I am giving higher rating than I would because the staff on the front desk and valet are great, hence a better rating. Otherwise, it would have been so much lower than normal. It's a shame because the location is great! Center to Westwood/Century City / Santa Monica / Beverly Hills. They better get a good restaurant to replace STK that left them, or it will be very sad to see this deteriorate. Valet parking guys were great.... Parking is fairly high, valet parking only, so be ready with this too! I don't know that I will be returning very soon, until I know they will have a Restaurant in house in place.

NO FOOD - NO RESTAURANT (currently) I've tried. Many times. Like the other reviews, this place use to be nice, but it's just not now. The last couple of times there have always been issues. The window wouldn't close, the AC was loud, the heat didn't work (2 different rooms, 2 different stays, as I was a regular). They did provide me with a space heater which was nice - maybe 2 stars over that... But really, you can't charge well over $350 a night and have no food pantry or market, only a mini bar of a few items-massively overpriced and annoying to have to wait for someone to put the expense on your hotel bill so you can properly expense. There was a restaurant setting up (Samuri), but they must have pulled out of the deal - noticed last visit. It's too bad, all the restaurant staff and front desk people are very very nice. But you need to offer food for the rate price. Get a market or pantry at least for grab and go. It's cheap to not offer this. When they did offer breakfast it was outside and food got cold quick... even with patio heaters. I'm just done... even though I was a regular (and could have continued as one) - as I come to UCLA Med center every 6 weeks. Frustrating, because it's so convenient to stay here from a location perspective. But, the little things they could correct are just so easy - and they don't or won't. Adios - from a regular!

If you are a Marriott Bonvoy member, skip this one…worst experience. If you have a reservation, call ahead to see if The W has food & bev service. We arrived for our 9 night/10 day reservation, they did NOT have any services (NO coffee, water, food, nothing). This is NOT a good Marriott partner, nor reflects positively on the Marriott & W brands. This was an absolutely horrible experience. We did not receive any communication ahead of time about this major issue. We in fact received numerous emails from the hotel (+ directly from someone at the hotel responsible for welcoming guests) promoting their restaurants/food, bar, poolside services, etc. We were shocked when we arrived. Why didn’t anyone call us to let us know about this significant issue?!? Really?!? Upon our arrival, it was suggested we could door dash food to the hotel as an option. NO help offered at all to find another hotel, find a solution, etc. We just spent ~$50 for Rideshare & then had to immediately figure out a plan B, ie find another hotel w/availability, recall Rideshare (& spend another $30 to take us to the next hotel). This was NOT easy to find a last minute 9 night/10 day stay in LA. Nor did we have time to deal w/this after a 5-hr flight. This was a horrible Marriott experience. I would/will NOT recommend. And zero help after the ordeal…just a note from The W saying, sorry…hope you try us in the future (really?!?).

Our stay here was perfect. The hotel staff were very attentive and kind. Katherine S. made sure to make our stay perfect.
