Reviews for W Los Angeles - West Beverly Hills

A Quiet Oasis in Westwood

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We were delighted with our stay at the W Hotel. We stayed for several days, and our room was spacious and well furnished. Housekeeping kept it immaculate, and everyone on staff was extremely cordial and helpful. The location is very convenient, as it is close to the UCLA campus and Westwood Village. Shopping and restaurants are within easy walking distance, and it's just a short drive to Sunset Blvd. or Wilshire Blvd., yet it is still a quiet location with a neighborhood feel. One drawback is the lack of an indoor restaurant. The outdoor restaurant near the pool is very accommodating, though, and we found room service to be very prompt. We definitely hope to return on future trips to L.A.

Basic hotel with a luxury price tag.

Basic hotel with rip off price and fake thermostat in room. This is just an average hotel in a college neighborhood with. Beverly Hills price tag. The thermostat in the room doesn’t work. The temperature is controlled by a computer.

Thanks to an Incredible Team and Daniel

My family and I just wrapped up our sixth or seventh stay at the W Beverly Hills, and once again, it was fantastic. The reason we keep coming back is the people. From the moment we arrive we’re treated like family. The staff is genuinely welcoming and attentive, always making us feel at home. The property is clean, the restaurant has good food, and the room have all the necessary amenities. I do want to call out one person who consistently stands out: Daniel Bruington. Daniel has been taking care of us since our first visit, and he always goes above and beyond his call of duty, whether it’s answering questions, handling special requests, or simply checking in to make sure we’re comfortable. He does it all with kindness and a positive attitude and makes us feel valued. Plus he always seems to know exactly how to make our stay better. We really appreciate the staff, the property, and Daniel's exceptional service. It’s because of the people there, and Daniel always going the extra mile(s!) that the W Beverly Hills is our go-to any time we're in LA.

Super perfectly comfortable and friendly hotel in West LA with beautiful pool and outdoor casual dining.

We had an A plus experience. Sales manager Brandon Henderson was always responsive and available and worked with his highly agreeable and enthusiastic staff to ensure that we would have a comfortable and entirely pleasurable stay. The entire staff, including Brandon, manager Brewer, Britlynne, Joe and DJ, to name a few, treated us so nicely. The hotel itself is beautiful and the poolside area is so comfortable. The rooms were spacious and well appointed, and our room had a beyond beautiful view of West LA. So many of our guests enjoyed dining outside, and they all found the food to be delicious. Poolside service for food and drinks was super easy. All staff members were extremely friendly. We did learn of some wedding attendees having trouble securing rooms not only for rooms in the room block, but for rooms before and after the room block time. Two attendees left items either by the pool or in the room after checkout, and both times these items were identified and returned promptly to the owners. Everyone loved the location of the hotel as they were able to enjoy dining at the many restaurants within walking distance in Westwood Village, as well as walking through the beautiful UCLA campus and botanical gardens. We certainly view the W hotel is our home away from home when in West LA, and we know that so many of our wedding attendees felt likewise as positively about their experience.

Big Help When Mother in ICU

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

My mother had open-heart surgery at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. I needed a hotel within walking distance, and honestly, the W was the only hotel with rooms available. From the moment I checked in, every single employee was helpful, courteous, and gracious. I was blown away by how amazing they all were. In particular, Britlynne was such a pleasure to speak with. I love the attention to detail I found throughout the hotel. From the carpet inside the elevators changing to reflect the time of day (Good Morning/Good Afternoon/Good Evening), to the micro-copy on the telephone in the room ("whenever whatever"). The artwork throughout the hotel was stunning. In the gym, I found cold water, cold towels, and fresh green apples (the perfect after-workout snack). My mother was in the ICU during my entire stay at the hotel, and I have to say that they really helped me through a difficult situation. I would 100% recommend this hotel, especially for people with loved ones in the hospital.
