Toll House

The Toll House is one of our favorite hotels. Top notch service and always very clean...It is located in beautiful Los Gatos right near nice restaurants including the Wine Cellar one of the best in Los Gatos. There are bars close by for fun and nice walking trails too..

Avoid if you can

I had to stay here for a wedding in April 2025. The gist: bed was very hard, the rooms are gray and sad, and you can hear everything happening out in the hallway. I felt that the rate was way too expensive for what we got. The wedding "brunch" was done in a windowless conference room without any adornments. And lastly, I left a necklace on the black tray of the bathroom which was never "recovered", aka stolen.

Be careful of all the added fees

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Be careful of added fees! Destination fee $25/night Lodging tax 13% added Tourism fee 1% added Very poor customer service. I felt like all front staff were brand new and didn't know what was going on. On a very slow weekend, we got a corner room next to a busy hallway. No one is in the restaurant and the bartender looks extremely bored. So sad what this hotel has become. Good beds! Lamps broken that got fixed. Extension cord needed so the phone could be plugged in next to bed. Yikes!

Nice hotel, very clean rooms!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

This is a very nice hotel. Many of my team members stay here on regular basis, I have not, as I am hard-core Marriott member. It seems to be lacking some of the amenities that I’m used to. 1 - the bar or restaurant. This was not open on the night we arrived. Not sure if it will be open tonight or not. 2 - Don’t know if there is a fitness center in this facility, I have not been able to locate one, but I haven’t spent a lot of time wandering around. Upon checking in, it was not mentioned. I believe there is a spa in the building somewhere. The room is nice. Very clean. Easy access. Very quiet. I’m on the ground floor room.

Nice property but....

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Been a loyal customer since it's been the Toll House Hotel, for over 20 years. Property seems to go slightly downhill every visit. 2 visits ago the TV never worked, maintenance never showed to fix it and the G.M. failed to respond for my request to comp one of my 5 nights of visit. This time, ants all over the desk but I only discovered this immediately after my departure when at the airport, I found my duffle bag and a box of cereal (sealed) that was on the desk, was covered with 3 dozen ants. Yikes!! My refrigerator door didn't seal well, so my $4 half gallon milk spoiled. I also let front desk know a bathroom light was out, the requested change of bulb never happened. Toilet paper holder always loose and pointing downward. Nothing major bad, just a series of stupid annoying details a great property wouldn't have issues with. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. Rooms kept clean, this time my shampoos/soap in the shower didn't run out. The restaurant area only being open on Friday/Sat/Sun nights makes the property seem dead. Lighting in the room is industrial and feels like a Safeway Parking Lot. And no lamp on the desks for about 2 years now, why? Lastly, half the electrical plugs are loose, so always an adventure getting a phone to charge. Good property that used to be great, then good, now OK. Trending in the wrong direction. I'd like my old Toll House Hotel back please.
