I used valet parking for $36/day. In & out unlimited. Guys at valet desk were very nice. Had light dinner at the bar in Lobby. The appetizer version of the famous "Hot Brown" is quite tasty and large enough for 2 .

Dirtiest hotel ever! Poor Brown Hotel! Bad service from mostly immigrant staff that struggle to communicate in English! Rude, lazy wait staff in lobby dining room! Our sofa had used dirty plastic forks stuffed at middle in between the two cushions. Several hair scrunchies on the doorknob and various hairs covering the floors … all from others that had previously stayed there. Yukko! Room service is non existent most of the day and when you try to order a normal burger and fries it takes multiple calls and over two hours to receive the order. We pivoted and used DoorDash to deliver all subsequent meals hot, fresh and timely.. from anyone except the hotel! The valets are nice and show hospitality but none of the other staff were in the least bit trained in hospitality nor customer service! I’ll never be back! We had a chance to visit the Omni and found everyone wonderfully nice and the place was clean! How refreshing! The Brown has well past her day as a nice hotel. Dingy, dirty, bad service and downright rude at times! Poor Brown Hotel!

The Brown Hotel is perfect for a weekend getaway. The rooms are spacious and clean. The drinks are delicious and the bar staff is friendly and efficient. The pianist is an added touch to a very nice evening!

Stayed at The Brown this week for a work trip. Rooms are not the cleanest and had a roach on the baseboard this morning. Surprise little friend I guess. It’s also not in the greatest area. The staff were very nice.

My first stay at this well known, historic hotel was marred by a bed one would expect to find in a much lower end hotel or motel; dingy carpeting, webs and bugs (?) on windowsills, trim that was obviously in need a fresh coat of paint and furniture that looked like Goodwill rejects. AND we were in a corner suite! C'mon management, invest some money here. On the upside, the staff could not have been friendlier; the food in the restaurant is good. Hence the "good" vs. "Poor" rating. I am just perplexed as to why they cannot provide a decent mattress and bedding; replace dingy, old, stained carpeting, and furniture, paint the trim and for heaven's sake, clean off the webs, etc. from the windowsills.
