First the good. The hotel was beautiful. From the lobby, to the amenities, and then to the room itself. The bed was wicked comfortable. Staff and valet were all very friendly. View from the 12th floor was nice and quiet. Plenty to do on and around the property. Tip - try a pastry at Wiltshire Pantry. Now for the not so great.. The in-room coffee maker was a joke. We think it may have dispensed all of the grounds from the k-cup into the cup. We planned to get real coffee downstairs anyhow, but - like many - we usually want a little caffeine boost before we leave the room. This was a bummer. Don't ship yourself any forgotten necessities without reading. They charge a $10/package handling fee for any deliveries. We called down once to check in the package and then asked about it later at the front desk and the fee wasn't mentioned once. We figure they knew we'd be irked and decided to let that be the poor UPS girl's problem. I don't think the policy itself would be so frustrating if it was handled differently OR if the package miraculously arrived in my room as I'd kind of expected.. You're going to make me walk to the second floor to retrieve it AMD surprise me with a random handling fee? I was a little irked... Now to housekeeping - this is where the star really came off... almost gave a three star review, but thought better of it. We arrived already running behind for a jampacked day. Came back to our room late that night took a quick shower and went to bed. That next morning, I woke up and noticed a huge bogey (yes.. it's what it sounds like) smeared on the wall parallel to the bed right around eye level. We told housekeeping as we were leaving for a full day. When we returned, the 'gross' had been cleaned from the wall, but they didn't bother to make the bed, empty the bins, leave fresh linens, or bare minimum apologize for the mid step. Our room wasn't cleaned again on night two, and when we called to specifically request fresh linens and a room clean on night three, we came back from a full day of being away to fresh towels neatly folded on an unmade bed. Bins were still completely full, not cool at all. On our fourth and final night, we finally came home to a serviced room - that was a nice feeling. Overall - we expected a phenomenal stay, and I think there were a few things that will keep us from returning to this particular Omni location. If we were to visit Louisville in the future, I would probably try another luxury brand hotel. Overall, this was not a must – return experience.

From the moment that we arrive we were greeted with the utmost respect, courteousness, and professionalism. The valet was very warm inviting and gave us outstanding service. We were here for a special occasion. I was celebrating my girlfriend's birthday. I asked for a special accommodations to my room. The Omi Louisville Staff went ABOVE and BEYOND !!! They set the room up for rose pedals, flowers, chocolates, and even the balloons I ordered. Complementary From this hotel if they wanted to take part in the celebration for this special occasion. They took it a step further with the Rose petals and created a walking path to the bed where the rest of the Rose petals created a beautiful heart on the bed. Such a personalized and special touch by this staff. This is one of the most professional hotels I have ever stayed at. And I have been fortunate and honored and blessings to have traveled to 37 countries in my life. This is one of the best hotels I've stated at. #chefskiss
