Kudos to the designers—the resort is exceptionally well thought out, with beautiful aesthetics and strong attention to detail throughout, from the rooms to the restaurants and spa. The accommodations were a highlight: spacious, well-appointed, and spotless, with excellent in-room features. Breakfast each morning at Ombria Kitchen was consistently very good—delicious food, friendly and attentive service, and a special thank you to the morning manager (apologies for not recalling the name) who was warm, welcoming, and remembered our preferences from the previous day. Café Central was equally impressive, with a beautiful setting, great pastries, and a very helpful morning team. That said, some service inconsistencies impacted the overall experience. At times service was excellent; at others, it fell short. Upon arrival in the rain, there was no one at valet, I had to walk to reception and as I entered, I saw that he was at our vehicle. When assistance did arrive, the gentleman was very courteous and helpful, bringing our luggage to the room. On another occasion, we called ahead for our car before a day trip, but despite allowing time to walk from our room to valet, the vehicle was not ready and the process took nearly 30 minutes, ultimately requiring a front desk agent to retrieve it. The front desk also seemed under-informed regarding hotel services—particularly the spa—and nearby activities or points of interest. The spa itself is truly beautiful; however, charging for access while the main pools were closed felt unreasonable. When we raised this at departure, we were told the golf course pool was available, yet it was covered with a hard metal lid and we were advised to request its removal. Additionally, the resort did not appear busy, and there were only a couple of other guests in the spa during our visit. At the spa closing time, rather than a courteous notification, staff walked through heavily and closed doors loudly, which felt passive aggressive. Overall, the resort has the potential to be truly exceptional. The food and beverage experience was strong, but improvements in front office operations and service consistency would make a significant difference.

What a gorgeous resort. Beautifully set up and a serene atmosphere. The spa was absolutely lovely. We had a package deal including massage and body scrub which was amazing. What a great way to spend an afternoon

Amazing place! Lovely setting in the countryside with views over the hills. The accommodation, staff, facilities were all exceptional. Couldn’t fault anything. We stayed in a suite which had everything you need. Comfortable, clean and relaxing.

This resort is a home from home. We stayed here last year and it was such a nice surprise to see many familiar faces still working here. Obviously this is a good place to work and the energy and atmosphere is excellent, happy and professional, we loved it. The Ombria Kitchen is excellent, be sure to ask Alex for help to pair wine with your meal, he is very knowledgeable and nice. Food is delicious, service is fantastic. Go to Cafe Central for coffee, gifts and tasty treats, staff there are helpful, friendly, awesome! Golf course is exceptional, staff are fantastic, food is amazing! You cannot go wrong booking this holiday resort, we will definitely come back.

Fantastic resort with the friendliest of staff. Our two bed residence was superb, loads of space and amenities and nice extras (bottle of wine and custard tarts). The gym and spa are awesome. Excellent choice at breakfast with great egg menu. Ombria Kitchen food was excellent. My wife is GF and Anna the head chef spent much time explaining the options. Unfortunately it was low season so the other restaurants were closed except for Cafe Central which didn't have enough choice for GF. But it didn't matter. The golf course was stunning and great team there, keen to help and ensure no hold ups. Final word, all the staff (especially in the cocktail bar and Ombria Kitchen ) made us feel like family - they could not have done more. Very professional and personal touches throughout. Made us feel very special. A visit to Loule and Mar Shopping are recommended if you have a short trip planned.
