This is a quintessential New England Inn! The staff is very friendly and helpful, and spent time to orient us and answer questions about the area. Our room was quite cozy and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and quite generous. Highly recommend this inn for visitors to Vermont’s Northern Kingdom!

We *really* enjoyed your stay at the Rabbit Hill Inn! The room (Cedar Glen) was charming, spacious and spotless. The bar was quaint and well-stocked and breakfasts and dinners were wonderful. Special shout-out to Courtney who went over and above by sending a pair of pants that we inadvertently left behind.

Here’s my honest assessment. The Rabbit Hill Inn is an excellent New England BnB experience. It’s just not what it once was when it achieved national and international acclaim as an elite country inn. This was our second trip here, and we had no complaints. However, it just wasn’t the elite experience we had in 2022 under the previous owners. For owners Leslie and Brian Mulcahy, Rabbit Hill was a labor of love, and it showed in the remarkable level of customer service and small special touches that won them countless awards for excellence. I don’t think it was possible to replace a Leslie, who always made you feel like a beloved visiting member of the family. Today’s Rabbit Hill Inn remains quaint and lovely, but the old magic just isn’t there now that it’s owned by a group that I’ve learned owns several New England Inns. Whereas the Mulcahys probably never worried about profit margins, it’s now run more like a real business. The Inn and its grounds are as lovely as ever, and we enjoyed our stay in the spacious Hodby Suite. The Inn’s restaurant remains an excellent fine dining experience. However, IMO, RHI is understaffed and that is the biggest thing that is keeping it from returning to its glory days. During our 2022 visit, there were so more personal touches from the team here. The current staff is professional and very hospitable; there’s just not enough of them.

Everything was as perfect as it could be, especially for a low price with a LOT of value! “Quality” is the key word at this inn; the staff is so attentive it’s like having your own butler service, and the high standards for the food, cleanliness, and beautiful grounds is evident immediately. I, personally, found the decor so charming (especially the bunny details!) and didn’t find it dated in any ways that actually matter: the bathroom appliances were great, the AC worked well on hot nights, the bed was big and comfy, and the food was modern and delicious. The “dated” parts just gave it more character. I can’t say enough good about the staff. From the waiters to innkeepers to housekeepers, every staff member gave off the vibe that they couldn’t be happier to be there! They were the highlight of the whole experience. Special shout out to Courtney, Aimee, Katie, Eilish, and the housekeeping staff. Overall, would highly recommend this gem to anyone who appreciates high quality and a touch of luxury at a cozy inn that feels like coming home! Nearby restaurant recommendations, besides the excellent dining room at the inn: The Buttery, Sour’s Taverna, Wandering Vine, Hilltopper, Rek-Lis Brewing Company, Farm to Fire Pizza, Shilling Brewery, Mill St Kitchen, Inkwell Coffee, Super Secret Ice Cream Not a criticism, but perhaps a missed opportunity: I was surprised to realize it was an adults-only inn at the end of my stay. I’m childless myself and really appreciate kid-free places, but it seemed like an odd fit here; I can only imagine how much more lively and bustling the place would be with families, especially for the special events they host in the summer. I think it’s a tough sell to disallow children at a hotel that is more lived-in and charming than sophisticated and sexy. That said, it was a very quiet atmosphere so I guess they know what they’re doing ha!

What a find! Exceptional in all aspects of our weekend stay at Rabbit Hill Inn. The room was impeccable: it had no number but a name, Music Room, which was smartly appointed befitting its name. Dining was exquisite from ambience, presentation, quality of food and drink, and perfectly timed service all prepared and delivered by positively delightful staff. The innkeepers were professional, attentive and engaging. We loved the Stave puzzles. Indeed, we loved the entire experience. We will lodge, dine, and enjoy Rabbit Hill Inn again.
