Wonderful place with great location.
Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Accommodating as well. Food is great. Bed was very clean and comfortable. Walking distance from the town and all the attractions. Highly recommend this place.

The Hotel Splendide Royal is the crown jewel of Lugano hotels and a 'must go' for anyone visiting Lugano. From the professional and gracious staff to the sumptuous rooms, to the fabulous food, this is a MUST for any traveler. If we could give it 100 Stars, we would!!!

Top Lugano Hotel
We had a wonderful experience at the Hotel Splendide Royal. From arrival to departure, the service was consistently excellent – professional, attentive, and delivered with genuine warmth. The Food & Beverage offering deserves special mention. The quality of the cuisine, the execution, and the overall dining experience were superb and clearly reflect a strong culinary and service culture throughout the hotel. A timeless property that combines classic elegance with very high standards of hospitality. We very much enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

My favorite hotel of our European vacation
I absolutely LOVED this hotel. It is so beautiful and the view is out of this world. It doesn't even look realy. We were upgraded to a room with a view and now I know that I would be willing to pay extra to have the view in the future (if Im ever lucky enough to return). The hotel itself is in a great location. We walked down to Old Town and shopped and had some wine, but we ate our meals at the hotel. Perfection! I especially loved the flaming crepes Suzette! The room was luxurious and they even had a turndown service and set out our slippers and chocolate by the bedside table for bedtime. We also got a glass of prosecco upon registration. The little touches made it so special. We were gone for ten days throughout Italy and Switzerland and stayed in many nice hotels. We stayed 2 days at Hotel Splendide and it was my very favorite because of the extra attention to details.
