Hotel Splendide Royal Lugano

We were greeted very warmly at the front desk. The hotel has a great location- close the the town centre on one side and the Paradiso train station and Funicular on the other side. Cleanliness 5/5. The suite had an amazing view of the lake and mountains, was very spacious with separate small living room and ample closet space. Breakfast was great with lots of variety - buffet and à la carte. All the staff is very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Mr. Riccardo Mangialavori, who was extra helpful in forwarding me something I forgot in the room , and also to Ms. Daniela with whom we had a pleasant interesting conversation. I would definitely highly recommend staying at the Splendide.

It was a great experience. The service at the front desk and at breakfast was so good. People were attentive, and I loved the art on the walls! The hotel is also in a central location. I am very pleased with my experience.

This is a beautiful 5 star hotel, right near the heart of Lugano. The charming staff are welcoming and it feels like you are in an oasis from the hustle and bustle. we went to a swimming area right across the street and loved swimming in Lake Lugano. Lugano is a hidden gem, must easier than Como! try it out.

It has been difficult to find the perfect words to describe the experience we had while staying in this fantastic hotel. We were on a two week holiday to Lugano and Milan. Unfortunately on day one I fell in the hotel room (my fault as a disabled traveller), breaking my pelvis in several places which required hospital admission. Throughout the hospital stay, my husband remained at the hotel. The hotel staff went way above and beyond what could be reasonably expected of them to support us both during this traumatic time. The hotel management even purchased additional equipment to enable me to return to the hotel before being repatriated home. The hotel itself is stunning, the views are breathtaking, the food and service outstanding. But what makes this hotel stand out beyond anywhere we have stayed in the world are the staff. The Manager Luigi Spiniello, his assistant Ricardo, receptionist Akira, the restaurant staff and housekeepers to name a few, made our experience at the hotel in Lugano extraordinarily positive considering the situation. We are incredibly grateful for their humanity, care and support which was shown to us both. We will return to have the holiday we planned. Thank you Dawn & Frank
