Hotel Splendide Royal Lugano

Wonderful experience with rooms and friendly staff.

It was a pleasant experience however our room was disappointing. The furnishing were outdated and in poor shape. The arrangement of the room was actually very awkward. We would have preferred a normal one room arrangement. The entire staff were incredibly helpful, efficient and thoughtful. Great location!

Terrible experience! I highly recommend avoiding this hotel. First, the staff initially assigned me to a much smaller, cheaper room category than the one I had booked. It took three hours of arguing to finally get the room I actually reserved. When I asked for an explanation, I was simply told, "It is a management rule." Second, even when you challenge them, they try to downgrade you to the least updated floor or room, claiming all other rooms are occupied—which was clearly untrue. Third, watch your billing closely. They provided an incorrect invoice and overcharged me. Overall, the hotel is outdated, the staff is rude, cleanliness is lacking, and the food is mediocre. For the price and the 5-star status they advertise on their website, you are much better off finding a client-oriented hotel with superior service. This establishment is entirely profit-driven. High prices, terrible customer service. Not a 5 star hotel experience. Be aware

Beautiful hotel with stunning lake views. Nice restaurants on-site or a short walk to city center. Staff was very helpful and always available. Guest room had every modern amenity. Would stay here again if visiting Lugano.

Wonderful experience staying at this property. The location on the lake, proximity midway between old town and Paridiso made it ideal for a getaway. The staff was truly welcoming and helpful for every detail of where to tour and amazing local restaurants. We would definitely return.
