Swiss Diamond Hotel Lugano

Excellent location, good beach and pool area, as well as attentive service. Needs a little refreshing overall .. climatisation not effective, room and bathroom need updating, tv not working well, patio door needs bit of help. Overall though, very good hotel and very very pleasant stay. Love Morcote.

Our experience was not good at all. The hotel front desk were not helpful at all, you ask them about areas they don’t know. Also out tv wasn’t allowing us to connect our Netflix to it so our 5 year old can watch her show at night and they told us that it was for security reasons and no one could connect to Netflix. They did not realize that we had family also in hotel and they can connect to Netflix after two days later was complaining they change the TV to another TV. That was a smart TV little crack screen on the corner, but our daughter was able to watch Netflix. They do not have an iron or steamer so if you need your clothes pressed after long trips and clothes and the luggage is they charge you to iron your clothes since they cannot provide you a steamer or iron. The Internet goes in and out constantly all Day And Night.

Excellent location. Offer great transportation services. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Breakfast and food was excellent. Reason for 4 stars. Rooms say all have terraces. The terrace when you opened the door had no more than 8 inches of space. Foot was too big to even stand and I am a size 6

Ripped us off on room rate . We paid in full and the next day they reduced the rate by half. Terrible. Very upset. This is not good for tourist relations in Switzerland. Left us with a bitter feeling

We have just spent five days in Swiss Diamond Lugano and overall we enjoyed it very much. The views from the balconies are amazing. The tranquility and fresh air is wonderful. Beds and bedding are really nice. Breakfast is excellent with good coffee and it also offers a great variety of included options and some for purchase. Parking is free. For a Swiss five star hotel, a few things nevertheless surprised me; @ Admittedly, we only tried the pool restaurant once, but we quickly decided to use the restaurants in the nearby towns and villages instead. The food was ok but very expensive considering the quality. @ Maid / housekeeping services were not impressive. For three consecutive days we had a dead bug on the floor and only on the very last day coffee and water was replenished in our two rooms without we had to ask for it. @ Bathrooms are spacious with all amenities. In room 324, however, we needed to ‘mop the floor’ every time after showering because the glass ’wall’ was not close enough to the side of the tub.
