Mandarin Oriental Palace, Luzern

Our stay at the Mandarin Oriental Palace, Lucerne was truly unforgettable. We stayed in a beautiful suite and were treated exceptionally from the moment we arrived. The entire staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, but a special thank you to Johannes, who went above and beyond to make our stay so memorable. His attention to detail and wonderful hospitality made us feel incredibly well cared for. The hotel is stunning, the location on Lake Lucerne is breathtaking, and the entire experience is the definition of luxury. We absolutely loved our stay and cannot wait to return!

We enjoyed one night in a lake-front suite. The hotel was absolutely beautiful and clean. The staff was friendly and hospitable. I enjoyed the air conditioning that is extended at the hotel as well as a beautiful views from the rooms. I requested a portable fan and an outlet adapter so I can use my flat iron. They provided both complementary. They offered the luxury of complete blackout to ensure the most restful sleep. The beds were very comfortable. The showers offered high water pressure and were luxurious. Overall, our experience was Superior and would absolutely stay here again.

Our recent stay at Mandarin Oriental Palace, Luzern was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this property embodies the very best of Mandarin Oriental's legendary service. Our suite was spectacular! It was so beautifully appointed, spacious, and offering breathtaking views over Lake Lucerne. A special call out to Concierge Tiago, who went above and beyond when our son missed his connecting flight. He came to our rescue with resourcefulness and genuine care, turning a stressful moment into a non-issue. That level of attentiveness is rare and deeply appreciated. Front Office Manager Johannes personally checked us into our rooms and anticipated our every need throughout our stay. He was smart, friendly and witty. The city of Lucerne itself is gorgeous and a must-visit when in Switzerland and the Mandarin Oriental Palace is the best hotel to stay. Highly, highly recommend.

We stayed at this Mandarin Oriental for almost a week. The hotel is beautiful and modern, and was renovated in 2022. The location on Lake Luzern is fantastic. Our Lake View Suite with Terrace felt very Mandarin Oriental — spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully decorated, with sophisticated digital controls for everything from room temperature to lighting. The one element that didn’t quite match the grandeur of the suite was the bathroom. It was perfectly functional, but small for the size of the room. The shower is separated from the toilet area by nothing more than a frosted-glass panel that doesn’t even reach the ceiling. What makes this hotel tick is the staff. The front desk offers genuine hospitality from the moment you walk in, and that standard carries through the property. Quai 10 restaurant, right on the lake, has wonderful views of Lake Lucerne and a menu to match. A special thank-you to Stefanie, Assistant Guest Relations Manager, who looked after us throughout and made the stay truly memorable. We wouldn’t hesitate to return! Practical tip for first-time guests: just outside the hotel, take the funicular about 100 meters up to the Art Deco Hotel Montana. The bar there has unparalleled views of Luzern from above.

Our 3 days at the Mandarin Oriental Lucerne was absolutely perfect! She is a grande historic and beautiful hotel that occupies the best spot in Lucerne. You have a ring side seat to this beautiful city sitting on the patio, right on the Lakeside Promenade. So romantic and a great people watching spot! The rooms are beautiful , and waking up every morning to Lake Lucerne views is quite a way to start your day. You are a few minutes walk to Old Towne, iconic Chapel Bridge and all of Lucerne, The hotel has complimentary bikes too. The best part was the service! Every single person we encountered was intent on making us feel welcome and appreciated. We had so many great conversations with this diverse staff. Special thanks to Maxim, Valeria, Lionni, Mateo and Eva! The pre arrival concierge service is fantastic too. They arranged us the Mountain Odyssey private tour to Mürren and Lauterbrunnen.
