We spent two nights here and they had organized everything ahead of time for our visit to Machu Picchu including tickets to the site, train and bus tickets, guides and transportation in addition to hotel stay and all meals. The Sumaq hotel is in an amazing location facing the river in Aguas Calientes and the room with a river view was lovely. The rooms are large, have comfortable beds and bathroom. The staff are wonderfully helpful and gracious and maintain a truly luxurious atmosphere. The food is wonderful and we did a special tasting menu dinner one night and it was simply spectacular from both the food ingredients, preparation, service and wine pairing. Our wait staff Charly and Sulmira were wonderfully attentive and helpful. The highlight of course was visiting Machu Picchu and the hotel organized guide Rodrigo was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, helpful, ensured our safety at all times and made for a truly memorable experience. While it is on the expensive side it was worth every penny for the quality of the experience and overall comfort and ambiance. Only gripe was the cost of using the sauna was excessive given hotel prices. Highly recommend organizing your trip to Machu Picchu through Hotel Sumaq.

What a fine experience after machu pichu. Excellent hotel from the moment they welcome you. Eye for detail with beautiful handicrafts in the decor. The highlight was the dinner in the restaurant. Michelin guide quality with a fantastic representation of the local cuisine. They even had a gourmet vegetarian section. Our compliments to chef Marco and our server Cecilia. Meanwhile a therapeutic massage from Mary was a blessing after hiking. Highly highly recommend

We loved this hotel! First of all, the service is so nice and friendly. We were so happy to have had the opportunity to be there on New Years Eve, where they served a cheerful New Years Eve Dinner! We all very much enjoyed! Our rooms were amazing... definitely recommend the suite - it is really exceptional and boy did we appreciate the Jacuzzi after tough day of hiking! We also had a delicious breakfast. They have a wonderful service to bring your bags to the train station before you depart. Our only regret is that we only stayed for 1 evening....

Our couple's Imperial massages with Mary and Elva were the best two+ hours we’ve ever had at a spa anywhere in the world! The massages were amazing and it’s the best way to end a day of hiking!
