Saccharum Resort and Spa

My wife and I stayed at the Saccharum in June 2025 and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcome and well cared for. The room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed, with an incredible view of the ocean. The entire atmosphere of the hotel is calm, elegant, and inspiring – perfect for relaxation and a break from everyday life. The staff was consistently friendly, professional, and attentive to every detail. Whether at the reception, in the restaurants, or at the spa – service was always first-class. We also really appreciated the thoughtful design and the variety of areas to relax – from the rooftop infinity pool to the cozy lounge spaces and beach promenade. This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. We will definitely return – and we highly recommend Saccharum to anyone visiting Madeira. Thank you again to the entire team!

As always, our visit to Saccharum was one of the most enjoyable experiences we have had so far. The hotel and the attention to detail, the generosity of the offer and the range of possibilities, as well as the incredibly friendly and lovely staff, make this hotel and its people a real gem. An excellent resort with fancy apartment, private beach and outdoor pools. Very rich variety of food for breakfasts and dinners. High quality live music in the bar in the evenings. Very friendly staff.

We had a pleasant stay but felt our experience could have been improved by simple changes . The hotel inside is very dark and gloomy . The rooms are nice we slept well , odd having no shower door . I didn’t like the supplements which I wasn’t aware of before - paying extra for nicer sun beds , the car park , use of the spa and only one water of water in your room on arrival. We are out in the harbour a good selection of restaurants

Absolutely amazing stay! One of the best hotels I’ve ever experienced. The rooms were not only beautiful but also super comfortable. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. And the view… just breathtaking! The atmosphere throughout the hotel is fantastic — especially in the evening with live music on the rooftop, which made for such a great vibe. The pool area is also lovely, spacious, and never felt crowded. Breakfast was excellent — very complete, with a great selection of gluten-free options. The buffet restaurant offered a wide variety of delicious food, with a different theme every night, so it never got repetitive. There’s also a super nice beach bar, perfect for relaxing with a drink by the sea. We had only booked two nights but loved it so much we ended up staying three more. Can’t recommend this place enough — we’ll definitely be back!
