Taj Madikeri Resort & Spa, Coorg

Taj has always been our preferred choice, and once again, it exceeded all expectations. The beauty of Coorg drew us in, and our stay at Taj, Madikeri made the experience truly worthwhile. From the moment we stepped in, we were mesmerized by the grand lobby entrance and its seamless connection to nature. Trecila’s introduction to the resort was informative and welcoming, helping us feel oriented right away. Mr. Fernandes at the reception (I hope I’m recalling the name correctly) was very attentive to my requests, as I wanted to make my husband’s birthday extra special. The promptness, hospitality, and above all, the kindness of the staff are truly commendable. Aroopa, in particular, ensured that everything was taken care of with utmost attention and warmth. She is extremely approachable and always ready to help. I would also like to mention the chefs at the grill for their incredible work, and Chef Swarup for his expertise during breakfast while catering to our special requests with great care and precision. Special thanks to the spa supervisor for accommodating us even when the spa was fully booked. The spa therapy by Wong was exceptional—she truly deserves special recognition. Sawmi, the other therapist, was equally wonderful. The indoor pool was everything we could have asked for. The staff ensured both safety and comfort while attending to our needs. The steam, sauna, and jacuzzi added immensely to the relaxation experience. And more to that, outdoor pool has this surreal feel. I could go on and on about this wonderful stay of 3 days. I have already recommended Taj Resort and Spa, Coorg to many people. Heartfelt thanks for an experience that we will cherish for a long time 🙏✨ We preferred and loved walking through the nature and avoided buggies as much as we could 😄 Surely didn’t want this holiday to end so soon 👏😍.

Seeing our daughter’s smile made every moment priceless. The hospitality was impeccable, and the staff ensured everything was seamless and personalized. 💛 The food was delightful, offering a great variety, and every meal felt like a celebration in itself. I have been a patron of Taj hotels since few years Madikeri Taj views are top notch, the rooms are spacious and every room has a view to die for. There are two swimming pools, for some reason not much activity goes on for the outdoor pool despite it being better situated and overall arrangements there. The second is an semi indoor infinite pool which again has breathtaking views The entire property is surrounded by lush green forests and like any Taj property, local cuisine and culture is apprehended. The staff if very courteous specially the Ferntree staff is very accommodating and cheerful. We were welcomed very warmly by a gentleman on our arrival and despite us arriving couple of hours earlier we were provided keys in a very short time. I would want to point out one problem and one bad experience wrt staff. The lady on the reception during evening was rude and always gave one word replies. On probing she would give a sarcastic smile and was not very helpful. Also the service(except Ferntree) is very slow. I have never seen a buggy arriving in 30 mins time at any Taj. But barring these two minor issues, overall our experience was excellent. Don’t miss the views from lobby area they are the hallmark of this property
