Reviews for Four Seasons Hotel, Madrid

One of the best Four Seasons

What a fantastic hotel! Great location, great ambience, great service, great food and overall, a great hotel. I was picked up from the airport in a BMW i7 and my driver was more than nice. There was little bit of an issue at the airport (long story) but he was very patient, polite and helpful. Totally justified the high price for the ride. I was received by one of the managers at the reception, and check in was very smooth and efficient. Room was luxurious and very well appointed with nice, comfortable furniture and also modern technologies. Breakfast was good with their speciality Spanish Omelet and Churros con Chocolate. Service was surprisingly good for a breakfast restaurant. While most luxury hotels do their best to provide good service, the breakfast in general seems to be a bit chaotic even at some of the nicest hotels in the world. However, these guys have handled the breakfast part extremely well. I did not get a chance to try any other restaurants but the room service was good. The one thing I would point out, just as feedback, is that the walkway from the elevators to the front entrance is a bit congested and awkward. Guests have to either walk through the reception or the lobby lounge. The walkway in front of the reception is very narrow and there are always people standing there, so that makes most guests walk through the lobby lounge in between the tables. It’s a bit awkward. Not sure if anything can be done to widen the space in front of the reception given the construction constraints, but I think at the least removing a few tables from the lounge (closer to the walkway between the elevators and front entrance) would make it a lot more elegant. Check-out was as good and efficient as check-in was. Bell staff were really helpful. Overall, I would say this is one of the nicest hotels in Europe and one of the best Four Seasons.

Amazing hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Top notch from when we arrived by taxi, greeted by the wonderful staff until we left sent away with some fresh fruit for our train ride. Rooms were immaculate and the cleaning staff anticipated our needs, leaving screen cleaners for the devices and sun glasses. The room was equipped with soap, washcloths, robes/slippers, etc. (these are not always provided anymore in the European hotels i have been to lately). The pool and hot tub were quite lovely (I wish they were outdoors, but no complaints here). I never wanted to leave.

This hotel is amazing! So well located. Everything is flawless. Very sophisticated. The Concierge, specially the italian guy, is so polite and helpful. I´d return for sure.

Underwhelmed by the service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

Beautiful hotel but put down because of the poor service. Luggage porter promised to send more water in the room, he kept asking if we need anything at all “more towels, more pillows, more water, etc”- tipped him, asked for some water, he disappeared. Welcome snacks in our room had no allergen labels despite mentioning on the booking. Dani brasserie - took my order with a gluten allergy note, said the fish was without gluten, but brought it to the table with no dressing or sauce at all. Took 20 minutes to get someone’s attention, who then rectified it. Just poor service from their only restaurant. Dampened our experience. Spa- Ice cold water in the pool and jacuzzi. Gym- no allergen labels on any of the snacks/ tea. Very unlike other 5 star hotel standards in Europe. Similar properties in london not only have the labels but also use non allergenic ingredients.

Not worth celebrating anything here

Extremely Disappointing – Not Worth Celebrating Anything Here Review: We’ve stayed at 24 Four Seasons worldwide, always for special occasions. Madrid was by far the worst. On our anniversary, we were verbally attacked by three hotel staff during a photo session arranged by the concierge. Not one person acknowledged our anniversary — no card, no note, no greeting. The flowers and champagne we ordered arrived after 11PM. Breakfast service was sloppy; we had to clear our own plates. Staff showed zero warmth or care. I wore a knee brace and was denied a return ride after a hotel-offered lift. For a property under the Four Seasons name, this was a cold, careless, and hurtful experience. Do not come here to celebrate anything meaningful — you’ll regret
