This is a first-class property with a very professional and helpful staff. The rooms are very comfortable, the hotel is immaculate and is in an outstanding location. Located directly across from Park El Retiro, 10-minute walk from the Gran Via, 5-minutes from the observation tower and 12 minutes from the famous Prado art museum. I would not hesitate to recommend to family and friends.

Beautifully decorated rooms with modern amenities. Perfect location next to Puerta de Alcala and walking distance to top attractions. Amazing staff provided excellent service. Highly recommend for a stay in the city.

A very comfortable, well-equipped, and completely quiet room (with a complimentary bottle of wine on checking in), helpful and informed reception staff, and ideal location for this part of the city (the Prado and other major museums, including the wonderful Archaeology Museum, and El Retiro Park a short walk away) made our 4-day stay here a very pleasant one. For a hotel at this price-point the public areas seemed a little bleak / institutional (both upper corridors and lift were oddly cramped), but this was presumably a function of the adaptation of an older building: if I had a suggestion to make at all it would be to brighten up these areas, though I’m not sure how this could be done because they are not at all run down, just not atmospherically particularly welcoming. It may even be that something as easy to implement as a lower reception desk so that staff don’t seem to be looking down on guests might help. But this is a minor design question rather than a substantive comfort / service one and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again on a visit to this area of Madrid. The restaurant was good.

I recently had a very disappointing experience with hospes puerta de alcata . Despite making a single booking, the hotel inexplicably processed three separate reservations for the same stay. When this issue was brought to their attention, the staff assured us it was "under control" and not to worry. Trusting their word, we proceeded with the payment, only to be informed afterwards that nothing could be done to rectify the mistake on their end. Their inability to manage reservations properly and lack of accountability after receiving payment was not only frustrating but also reflected poorly on their customer service ethos. This experience has unfortunately tainted our view of what could have been a pleasant stay, making it difficult to recommend this place to others. Potential guests should be wary of reservation and billing issues, as our experience indicates that the hotel may not be able to provide satisfactory solutions once payment is made. It's disheartening to write such a review, but I hope this feedback can prompt the Manager that told Emanuel that can’t do anything for us so they can improve their customer service approach to ensure others do not face similar inconveniences.

This venue, deserves more than those likes, the hotel situated in the center of Madrid, and in front of the Puerta de Alcala, offers an excellent welcome, large an comfortable rooms, a very tasty breakfast and a faboulous terrace to enjoy drinks and excellent dishes. I feel always a certain "back home" feeling, as employees and staff are well trained and extremely friendly
