Hotel Unico Madrid

Hotel Unico is a well located hotel with a nice breakfast and very kind staff. There are a couple of things to watch out for. I accidentally booked the room for one person, even though it was the same price to book for 2 people, with breakfast included. The hotel made me pay for breakfast for the second guest. So make sure you book for 2 guests. The Unico King Garden room we booked is pleasant and serene, but a bit small. Although we qualified for an upgrade to a larger room, the hotel advised that our room was better since it has two windows. The higher category apparently has slanted ceilings and less natural light. Overall, I enjoyed our stay, despite my surprise at the extra breakfast charge at checkout.

A really nice base in the Salamanca district of the city. Ready access to the underground system makes exploring Madrid's sights straightforward. Surroundings are opulent, rooms comfortable and staff are both helpful and friendly. Our only reservation was poor sound proofing between adjoining rooms.

My husband and I visited Madrid in early March, our stay at Unico was exceptional. The location is perfect, close to Retiro and right in the heart of Salamanca with trendy shops, restaurants, mercados and metro access. The staff, including Imane, Daniel, and Felix were attentive, genuine and took care of all of our needs. They provided prompt in room service, gave us great recommendations in the area and were a pleasure to see each day. Imane made our check in and check out process smooth and efficient. Our rooms were spacious, comfortable, clean, and have everything you need and more. Espresso, snacks, umbrellas, etc. The hotel is gorgeous with a trendy new restaurant. 100% will be coming back to Unico and would highly recommend.

Fabulous location! Very friendly staff. Great breakfast. small hotel, everything made easy and pleasant. We ll be back for sure! quiet room. nice sheets. cozy seating room and bar. will be back for sure. did not have time to try the SPA, but there is one and looks inviting from the photos. interiors quite tasteful. There are many restaurant options around, as well as the best shops. will be back for sure.

Hotel staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Great location close to great shopping and dinning. From arrival thru checkout all hotel staff was very attentive. Always using our names. Any special request was attended swiftly.
