Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid

We (my father, brother and I) have spent two night say for celebrating my father's 70th birthday. We were overjoyed with quality of everything we have experienced in the hotel. From quality of service to cleanliness and we have one of the best night sleep we have all for a long long time. The price is well lets say adequate for Mandarin Ortiental Ritz but the experience was worth every penny. We are not usually staying in this type of hotels as they are simply out of our normal budget, but given the occasion my father decided to treat us and himself with extraordinary experience and may god be my witness it was one. Atmosphere screams money and is over the top, but come on what else could you expect in a place like this. Noice level? I forgot what noice is Amenities: small gym, but fine for having a workout with personal trainer available at your disposal. I didn't use the swimming pool so I can't say much about it. Also I don't know Madrid well enough to have an opinion about the location

Unforgettable March Stay at Mandarin Oriental Ritz We spent three nights at the Mandarin Oriental Ritz in Madrid this March, and the experience was truly exceptional. The hotel perfectly combines classic Belle Époque grandeur with contemporary luxury. Every detail, from the beautifully appointed room to the impeccable service, made our stay unforgettable. The location is unbeatable for exploring Madrid's golden triangle of art. Highly recommended for a luxurious getaway!

Stayed here for a quick one night stop after heading to Spain to view the eclipse. Checked in after midnight so didn't have a huge amount of time to enjoy the hotel, but it seems very new and reasonably nicely done. My room (507) was clean, spacious and comfortable. My breakfast iced latte however (the cornerstone of any respectable establishment) was unfortunately dreadful and I couldn't manage more than a sip. The location is central, but on a fairly busy junction, I think on my next trip to Madrid I might look for some cool boutique hotel in a neighbourhood that has a more walkable area on its doorstep.

I wanted to thank you and your team for a most regal experience at the Mandarin Oriental "Ritz". It was our first time in Madrid and we could not have asked for a better host! I knew before our arrival that the property has a royal connection and one of the original Ritz-es, but I was still blown away by the majestic architecture, immaculate facilities and most importantly the meticulous hospitality of the team. It was so kind of Lucia to come by the reception to meet us – and that personal touch set the tone for the rest of our stay. We really enjoyed our time at your Pictura bar. The ambience was stunning and we were welcomed as friends by the warm team of the Davids, Jon and your wonderful intern Nina. The Davids took it upon themselves to point us to the best local dining spots and one of them personally called his friend who was the chef-owner of a taberna to make a dinner reservation. Nina was a dear on both nights that we were at the bar: always on the ready with drinks and never saying no to our frequent requests – I see a great future in hospitality for her! Compliments too to the bellmen – always smiling and obliging despite the punishing heat. We were transported to gentler times when one of them extended his arm to support my wife as she stepped out of our vehicle – such a gentleman! Breakfast was a marvelous way to start the day. I love the elegant setting, beautiful presentation, delicious cuisine and attentive service. The live carving ham station was a real highlight and I was taught how to have an authentic Spanish breakfast ham sandwich. And your spacious gym offered a perfect space to work away all of that breakfast, irresistible tapas and Rioja. And housekeeping - the behind-the-scenes heroes - kept the suite spick-and-span throughout our stay and were a wonder with our well-trodden shoes with the shoe-shine service - all delivered with care and smiles. The fitness area was one of the most beautiful and comprehensive I have seen in a luxury city hotel - makes the workout after all the tapas so much more pleasant and tolerable. Muchas gracias from the bottom of our hearts. We are already planning our return trip with family and friends – and show them a perfect place to get the royal treatment!

The Mandarin Oriental Ritz Madrid is one of those hotels where the experience extends far beyond the room itself. While our original room had been assigned as an accessible room (which we didn't require), the team quickly moved us to a standard room. Even then, the room was on the smaller side—but honestly, that's where the negatives end. The real magic is in the hotel's beautiful public spaces. The bar has an incredible atmosphere, with a lively yet sophisticated vibe that made us want to linger every evening. Even better were the people who work there—warm, engaging, genuinely fun, and always eager to make the experience memorable. The outdoor garden and terrace are another highlight, offering a peaceful oasis in the heart of Madrid that's perfect for drinks or a relaxed meal.
