The Principal Madrid Hotel

Our experience was very memorable from the very beginning. All of the staff was kind, helpful, and attentive to our needs. Most especially Rafael, who graciously and vivaciously manned the restaurant area. He welcomed us on our first morning of jet lag and was clear on which delicious options were available and quickly offered us some of the freshest coffee we’ve ever had. Every morning it brightened our day to see him! The food was, both day and night, made with fresh locally sourced ingredients and the ambiance was luxe without the feeling of exclusion and very intimate too. The rooms were soundproof, a perk for the area, and clean all throughout. The location was ideal for sightseeing and shopping too. 10/10 hotel experience and we would absolutely visit again.

The his hotel is perfectly located and provides a real sense of luxury and comfort. Rafael was super helpful and attentive to every little details to ensure that my stay was simply magical. The restaurant has a nice rooftop that provides spectacular views of the city.

We had a great stay at the Principal. The staff and service were outstanding. The food was delicious. Both the inside and outside eating and drinking areas were lovely. The rooms were great and well appointed. The experience felt personal and the size of the hotel was not overwhelming. We would highly recommend this hotel.

It was our first visit to Madrid, and I'm so glad we chose to stay at the Principal. Not only was the location perfect, and the rooms clean and warm, but the helpfulness of the staff (everyone on the staff!) really helped orient us in the city and helped make our stay much more enjoyable.

Very highly recommend Principal Madrid. The staff provided exceptional service. The breakfast buffet was outstanding as well as items on the menu—highly recommend the croissant sandwich and the avocado toast. The large balcony was a bonus!
