Truly a special place!
We spent 2 really, really lovely nights at The Principal! To kick off with, the location itself is most definitely 5 stars....but to be honest, it was the charm, attentive service and gorgeous views that made the hotel feel so special. The breakfast was delicious (from the pastries to the fruit to the perfectly cooked eggs!) The room (although not enormous) housed a dangerously comfy bed and a delightful rain shower, complete with glorious products and a decent hairdryer! Thank you to the lovely concierge who helped us book our evening dinner and to the wonderful barman who gave us red wine on arrival and a gigantic smile. We would love to return in the summer and use the lovely terrace on Floor 7. Thanks again for making us feel so welcome!

You have to stay here
Location, staff and rooms were way more than what we expected. Rafael, Mario and Borja specifically over the top. It was also my wife birthday and they made sure to send something to the room that it was beautiful, simple and super appreciated. We cam with out 1 yr old daughter she was also accommodated as well. If we return to Madrid, 100% will stay there.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

We stayed three days and two nights in Madrid, a we were looking for an elegant, small and well located hotel.
Most of the five stars hotels are in the same area of the city, so it doesn’t make a huge difference. What makes a difference is the quality of the rooms and the service, and the Principal is outstanding in both dimensions! You should go to the terrace in the 7th floor and also enjoy the espectacular breakfast that’s mos certainly a brunch
