Great and unique design. At the same time, the location is very convenient to explore the landmarks in Madrid. Remarkably, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Our group had an enjoyable stay at Radisson RED.

I usually enjoy staying at hotels from the Radisson Hotel Group, but unfortunately this one was disappointing. The room was very small, although the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The main issue was the interior decoration and overall styling. I understand the hotel was going for a black-and-red theme, but I could not understand the oversized ghost-like photo portraits and the excessive artwork placed throughout the room. Since the room was already small, the huge portraits and dark black trims made the space feel even more cramped and uncomfortable. In my opinion, the purpose of a hotel room is to make guests feel relaxed and comfortable. When a room is small, the design should be kept simple and bright to create a sense of space. Dark colors and heavy decorations only make the room feel smaller and less inviting. The lobby and hallways were also dark and felt gloomy and spooky rather than stylish. Overall, the interior design and atmosphere were not to my taste and felt very different from the usual experience I associate with other Radisson Hotel Group hotels.

I’ve stayed here twice now. The first visit was tarnished due to severe noise issues with the hotel next to a loud nightclub and the building has terrible sound proofing. It appears to have double glazing but basic street noise is so audible, and a thumping night club is awful. However I get good rates with my Radisson status, the location is good and I gave it another go. The upgrade this time was disappointing despite having top status. It was a standard room on a higher floor. The room is fine and clean but the bathroom was in disrepair, clearly some form of flooding or moisture issue had caused the cheap frame around the door to completely warp from the inside. The beds here are hard and uncomfortable making for a bad nights sleep. The breakfast situation is horrible and it was similar last time. Very crowded, the people here just act like animals and seem to be half asleep which doesn’t make for an easy experience in a tight space trying to serve yourself. The dispensers for water and juices barely work. The coffee isn’t nice from the machines. The food selection is ok but really not appealing and has barely any healthy options. The worst thing is the cleanliness. Almost every plate or bowl I picked up had dirt on or was wet, I felt something underneath a plate to see a solidified wedge of cheese attached to it (melted on in the dishwasher?) it’s just unpleasant. The theme of lack of care continues in other public spaces. Toilets clean but paper towels not replaced for hours. The gym had no paper towels and the anti bacterial dispenser was completely empty. They clearly just don’t check this stuff. The property is modern, and has the potential but standards here are really low and I’m not sure what’s causing it. Staff were always abrupt and unfriendly. The awful sound proofing here in a place you’re literally paying to have a comfortable and restful sleep is unforgivable. I won’t be visiting again.

I had an awful experience in this hotel and would not recommend it to anyone. I booked a superior room and arrived on a Saturday for two nights, but what we were not informed about is the superior rooms face the same side as a club and at 12am the noise of people queuing at the club became unbearable and it was so loud we were unable to sleep. We tried sleeping but at 1am it became too difficult and we called the receptionist, knowing that the noise will become worse at 4/5am when people leave the club. The receptionist Oxana was lovely and she informed us she can move us to standard room (lower grade to what we paid) which was facing the garden with no noise. We immediately moved and the next day spoke to the manger Mohammed as we were expecting a refund for that night stay. We moved at 1.30am to a smaller room and disturbed our sleep. Mohammed was not accommodating at all he did not even apologise and was extremely rude. After 20 minutes we managed to get a refund but as a manger he was awful. As a hotel you should not be advertising rooms, especially for a Saturday knowing how loud the noise is for the club queues right next to the rooms or you should clearly state this on your website. The stay and service was dreadful, stay away!

Easy in easy our, more high end/metro than anticipated. Great facilities with good options for adults.
