We booked this trip based on reviews. It was amazing!!! Truly five star! Everything was new and modern and clean. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgable. The rooftop pool was amaaaaazing! It’s so beautiful and the perfect end to every day of shopping and sight seeing. The hotel location is perfect. It’s near everything and in the center of everything, while still being a bit off to the side so it’s not too hectic. It was the perfect girls trip!

Loved the Thompson. The location and facilities were great. Wine and Spanish tortilla at check-in were a great start to our vacation in Madrid. The room was clean and spacious for the downtown location. The main drawback was the pool area. I booked the hotel because it appeared to be more urban and boutique with multiple rooftop bars and a spa-like pool. I thought the design would cater more to solo travelers and couples. However, many families with small children book here as well and tend to take over the rooftop and pool. If you're looking for a tranquil oasis during the hot Spanish summer siestas, I'd book an explicitly adults only property.

I normally stay at Montera whenever i have been to Madrid.Thompson was not on my list.It was recommeded to me by my Amex Centurion consierge since the hotel is part of fine hotel and resort program.I was disspointed! The check in was 'HO-HUM' I was not briefed about my complete centurion benefits.I was suppose to get a madatory upgrade due to my centurion status ,upon checking i was told that the room i got was an upgrade,Really!! The rooms are size of a bird cage. The staff here is quite cold. The breafast was descent.I know the location is central and guest will book at this hotel regardless. For almost 700 dollar a night,i will stay at Montera.Warm staff, better breakfast and room upgrade as hilton diamond perk! Of all that was wrong with the hotel, there was one person who was always smiling and very helpful during our entire stay. Her name is Nickah.what a gem of a person.

Centrally located with a beautiful rooftop area. The breakfast was delicious and had tasty gluten free options. The rooms modern, clean and cozy.
