Cerf Island Resort

I have been meaning to write this review for a while and I have decided to start with the positives. Cerf is a beautiful island with lush greenery and plenty of biodiversity. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable and the outdoor bathroom/shower experience is actually pretty magical. The reason I would never go back again boils all the way down to the service we received. For context, I had purchased a voucher that someone had won from a staff party at Lemuria Constance on Praslin. To be fully transparent I paid SCR7000 for two nights FULL board. I was pretty pleased with myself for the purchase and thought it would be nice to take my man for his birthday. When we arrived we were welcomed and checked in. The person who escorted is to our room was underwhelmed, moody and very unenthusiastic about everthing. I cannot remember his name but he had shoulder length blondish hair in a pony tail. Mind you it was pouring with rain and he didn’t even bother to take off his shoes. He just traipsed in leaving muddy footprints everywhere and proceeded to claim that the resort was falling to bits and that the new GM was horrible. That set the tone for our stay. We felt ignored and dismissed most of the time due perhaps to staff knowing we were Seychellois and assuming we were staying for free having won the voucher. Food was mediocre. The menu we had was severely restricted and most of the dishes were boring and unflavourful. I wished to snorkel in the marine park but to my horror the snorkelling equipment was old, worn out and some masks even had fungus in it. I am well aquainted with exeptional service and guest experiences and I do believe that has made me a tad bit spoilt. However, if service is something you care about deeply I would not recommend you spend your money going to this resort.

Had the pleasure of staying at the Cerf Island resort for a few days in August 2026. Reached there on the birthday of my wife, so they had arranged a rather beautiful towel decor in our villa. With a cake delivered at night along with a personal birthday song from Mr. Simon whom you will have the pleasure to meet at the bar. Everything from the pick up to the checkin was done in a timely manner. We were assisted by Prakash, who did a great job at the check in and was always there to assist. Bu then everyone at this place are super helpful and kind, right from the buggy drivers, to the wait staff (ladies and gents), room attendants and all. (I wish I could name all of them but big thumbs up to all of them). The villas are comfortable and well stocked with what may be required for a normal use. They are set beautiful among lush greenery and actually we did not encounter too many mosquitoes, but having said that the beds are very well protected with some great nets. The food and drinks are adequately good. Breakfast is not a large spread, but you have selections and they are prepared for you but it is wholesome and good. For dinner you have to select your menu from a set selection and your food is prepared and served for you as a starter, main course and dessert but again having said that, when my son felt a lil ill on one night, they were kind enough to send him some hot soup and sandwiches at night post dinner. We did a walk up to the helipad.. (You can take a buggy too) and do so in the evening during sunset and you will be rewarded with a breath taking view. Walking around the property is like walking through a forest (with advantage of a road) but be aware some slopes can be steep, but they were manageable for us. This is a resort if you are looking to be away from the hustle and bustle and prefer some calm and peaceful time, but if you need some noise, the resort did provide free trips to Mahe island, in the morning and rides back to the resort in the evening. We did have a good time at the resort and enjoyed the personal touch, would sincerely recommend going there is you need some restful peace and love nature.

Cerf Island Resort is a little paradise far from everything, surrounded by forest, but very easy to reach by taxi and boat. If you’re looking for complete relaxation, it’s the right place to choose! We stayed in the "Franzipann" cabin. Very spacious with a wonderful terrace. The bed is big and super comfortable, not to mention the bathroom, which is simply a dream. Taking a shower under the open sky is magical! What can we say about the staff? They were our ray of sunshine during a rather rainy week. Everyone was super kind and always available. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, we will always keep a wonderful memory of all of you (Andrina, Maria, Simon, Kenneth, Rob, Prakash, Bhargav, and everyone else we didn’t mention here). Thanks also to our two masseuses, Suri and Mary, who gave us a full hour of pure relaxation! We were on a half-board plan and we can assure you that both breakfast and dinner were always excellent! Compliments to the Chefs! The resort provides canoes and more for free, and you can book excursions directly from the resort. What are you waiting for... pack your bags and go!

The resort is located approximately 5–10 minutes away from Eden Island Marina and offers a beautiful, peaceful location, truly isolated from the crowds. We were very pleased that we were allowed to enter our villa before the official check-in time, and we really appreciated the early access. As we were celebrating a special occasion, we were also pleasantly surprised by the beautiful bed decoration upon arrival, as well as a cake provided during dinner. Special thanks to Simon and Edwina for making our stay even more enjoyable. Edwina took our meal pre-orders, which was very helpful as we did not have to wait for our meals, and Simon did an excellent job of making our dinner feel special. One point worth mentioning is that the Wi-Fi connection is not available throughout the resort and seems to work only around the reception area. We also ordered a salad to be served by the pool. Unfortunately, shortly after it was delivered, we stepped just 4–5 steps away from the food, and it was eaten by birds. It would be helpful if food delivered to the pool area could be covered to prevent this from happening. As a result, we had to order another salad. We decided to take the 15:45 boat in order to explore the resort a little more before leaving. We called the reception from our room to ask whether it would be possible to take a shower before taking the boat, and we were advised that there was a shower available at the spa. After using the pool and beach, we returned to reception and asked where we could take a shower. Unfortunately, we were told by the person in charge at reception to use the outdoor shower, which offered no privacy or proper shower amenities. This was disappointing, as we felt that we were treated very differently once we had checked out. During our stay, we felt well looked after and valued as guests, but after checkout, we unfortunately did not receive the same level of service and attention.

Beautiful property and amazing friendly staff. Highly recommend. The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed. Don’t miss the spa Sari is a true healer! Can’t say enough good this about massage recommend the 90 minute! It was so good I went twice! I was really struggling with hip alignment and recovering from shoulder surgery!
