This hotel did not match our expectations of a 5 star Kempinski hotel. The ground floor family room was extremely noisy (from the room above). The early check-in and late check-out extremely expensive (while being a Gold member) with several problems.

Despite that it was quite a chilly day, we had the most amazing experience @ Kempinski . All our meals were cooked to perfection 👌, simply scrumptious, chapeau to chef Aaron 👍🏽@ Windsong. To top it off our server, Barbara was simply at her best.. as usual 🤗. It was an absolutely beautiful afternoon 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽.

Honestly, the best part of the trip was chef Ayman. His food is amazing and he’s so welcoming and friendly. His warm smile and the time he took to chat with us put us in the best mood ever!

Visited Kempinski for the friends wedding. Ever since we arrived, we knew we were in something special. Every single detail of our stay was addressed, the staff was very attentive and always one step ahead. The wedding was nothing short of magical and much of the credit goes to the team! Really enjoyed the stay and definitely recommend it! PS, Be cautious about the weather in June, since it is a winter time some occasional rains might occur

Having stayed at 4 different Kempinskis (Oman, Istanbul, Nairobi, and here), I've come to expect excellent service, maybe not quite at the level of the top luxury chains (Four Seasons, Peninsula, Mandarin Oriental), but close, and at a more reasonable price point. In fact, that's really the only common thread I can find among the Kempinski properties, which are otherwise quite diverse. Kempinski Seychelles almost delivers but not quite. The 'ladies in red' were terrific, but otherwise service was a bit mixed, and at its weakest at the breakfast buffet, which was kind of chaotic and generally underwhelming. Each morning had to ask multiple times to actually get my coffee. The best items at the buffet were the locally inspired dishes, but unfortunately there were only a few of those. The rest ranged from mediocre to just not very good. So I guess that's my best suggestion for improvement. Reduce the number of generic things you see at every international breakfast buffet, and a few more local dishes. It's a huge resort and they seem to host a number of tour groups. The beach is beautiful albeit not great for swimming most of the time. The hike up the granite monoliths on the hotel property was a highlight. Room was nice although interior design seemed rather haphazard. Overall, good but not outstanding resort. Seychelles is an expensive market, and prices here are correspondingly relatively high, and so I can't say that it's great value for money, e.g., relative to the Oberoi in Mauritius.
