Reviews for Savoy Resort & Spa

resort is very "tired"

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Beneath the glossy exterior the resort is very "tired" and rather tatty. Staff, though mostly lovely and very helpful, didn't seem to be trained effectively - eg, we had 3 different answers about opening times for the bar etc. The day we arrived we were allocated a room adjacent to a an informal parking lot: early evening we were almost deafened by car engines revving and thumping music - it was the gathering spot for local teens. I visited reception to ask for a room change: they told me th noise could go on til 2:30am next day, but they were booked to capacity with no rooms available. A quick check on booking.com showed numerous rooms available, plus it was obvious from walking around the resort it was far from full. Unashamedly lying to their customers, wow. We did get a new room in a much nicer position, but it was rather too little too late. We'd paid for the "all-inclusive" option, which proved a mistake. The selection of drinks available to us was pathetic, we ended up paying for "proper" drinks at the bar. For food, avoid the buffet: flies crawling all over the fish etc. We decided it wasn't for us and traveled home a week earlier than we'd booked and paid for, that was how much we disliked the resort!

Our stay at Savoy Hotels was a pleasure and e truly great experience, we loved the green and lush landscape, the pool area is so nice , clean and big , perfect for kids , the room was very big and clean, the restaurants are amazing, we enjoyed all type of food, breakfast is very diverse, a lot of cheese selection, fruits, vegetables, omelets, we loved the food and the variety of it . The beach is beautiful with amazing views and soft white sand, the sunset is stunning. We enjoyed our stay here and we definitely come back soon. Alex

A Heartless Factory, Not a 5 star Resort*

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

I am writing this in a state of absolute shock and distress. After the heartwarming hospitality at Acajou (Praslin) and Patatran (La Digue), where we were greeted with cold towels and welcome drinks, arriving at the Savoy Seychelles felt like being processed by a cold, soulless machine. This is NOT a 5-star experience; it is a nightmare. Here is why: The Arrival: We were ignored and forced to wait for 1.5 hours in a drafty, freezing marble lobby during a rainstorm. No welcome drink, no attention, just being treated as numbers in a queue. Room 2015 – Not for a family: We booked a Standard room for 2+2, but it was physically unprepared. No space for children to sleep. I had to fight just to get basic bed linen. Even now, we have only TWO mugs andvtwo spoons for FOUR people. Do my children not exist to your staff? The AC "Logic": The centralized AC cannot be turned off from the panel. The ONLY way to stop the freezing air is to keep the balcony door open. This is a "luxury" choice between living in a refrigerator with ice-cold marble floors or sleeping with an open door in the deafening noise of the bar and rain. Noise and Indifference: The loud music from the bar is unbearable. The staff is indifferent. Savoy feels like a cheap, poorly managed suburban boarding house. I am completely upset because this hotel has ruined the final part of our Seychellois vacation.

I recommend you not to focus on the negative reviews - rooms are spacious and clean, room service is high quality, beach is clean, food is tasty. ROOMS: very spacious! Excellent room has a comfortable bed, small sofa and a desk, fridge, teapot (tea and coffee bags are provided), complimentary bottled water. The bathroom has a shower and bath, scales, fan and iron. Big balcony with a lounge zone on it. Perfect soundproof - you don’t hear anything when your balcony is closed. Room service 24h. LOCATION: 35min drive from the airport, direct access to the beach. There are different restaurants nearby, in a 5-min walking distance you can find some supermarkets and winery shops, exchange services, clothing stores. FOOD: breakfast buffet 7:30-10am. Good buffet with different type of meals, they also have a Chinese corner. Fresh orange and watermelon juices, high quality coffee and sparkling wine can perfectly accompany your morning meal. Three different restaurants (one is buffet, two - a-la carte) on the hotel’s territory. Room service with a good various menu offers tasty food. Food everywhere here is really good. BEACH: public sandy beach, there are sunbeds and towels provided for hotels’ guests. FACILITIES: good wi-fi, gym 24h (really good equipment both devices and free weights), SPA 8am-8pm, tennis court (no coverage - concrete, they also provide rackets and tennis balls for free), big centric swimming pool, kids club with kids pool. STAFF: friendly and polite, smiley and helpful. Some of them are really funny guys:) I want to highly appreciate the work of Humphrey (staff manager) - he was always smiling and very very welcoming, tries to do all his best to make your staying excellent.

An Unforgettable Week in Paradise with Flawless Service! I would like to express my huge gratitude to the Savoy Seychelles Resort & Spa for a perfect vacation from January 31 to February 7, 2026. My wife, our friends, and I stayed at the hotel, and this holiday exceeded all expectations! From the very moment of check-in, we felt that the hotel team was doing everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. I can confidently say that our vacation began from the very first minute at the hotel. Grounds & Beach: The huge, well-maintained grounds create a feeling of space and privacy. The beach is gorgeous — clean sand, crystal clear water, and always plenty of sunbeds. The towels are soft and fresh, which is a very nice touch. Room: Spacious, bright, and impeccably clean. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job: cleaning twice a day, constantly replenishing water, tea, and coffee. Such a valuable little detail! The Staff — The Main Asset! I would like to highlight a few people: Abdel Fattah: A true professional! He always greeted us with a sincere smile and was incredibly polite and cultured. You could feel his genuine desire to help with any question. Iman: Our purebred Persian friend, who speaks Russian fluently! He brilliantly organized excursions around the island for us and also helped arrange an incredible breakfast with friends right on the ocean shore — it was magical! Restaurant waitstaff: Very friendly, attentive, and quick. Service at the highest level! After exploring different parts of the island, we are convinced: Savoy Seychelles Resort & Spa is one of the best hotels with one of the best beaches in the Seychelles. Many thanks to the entire team! We are leaving happy and will definitely return!
