This is not a 5 Star Hotel…. We visited after all the pictures that people post about Seychelles, don’t be fooled those beautiful pictures are of Praslin and Le Digue which are smaller islands off the main land. Savoy is listed as a 5 start, it is a good 3.5 stars at best. It is near the main streets in Beau Vallhon, which on an evening is filled with locals some very drunk and high on cannabis, several in cars playing their music as loud as possible in competition with others whom do the same. Hotel itself, the groundsman do a very good job at trying to keep it nice and clean, We arrived at about 9am and this is due to our flight times from the UK, the reception staff was not sympathetic at all, i understand that the official check in time is 2pm, but the hotel did not look at full capacity, I feel the receptionist could have been better in her communication with us. We were told basically go away and come back every hour to see if your room is ready but it will be a few hours. Again probably savoys rules, but if we wanted to go to the breakfast Hall for any food or drink, they wanted us to pay, as we hadn’t officially checked in yet. Come on savoy, have some flexibility for your guests…. We finally got our room after 1pm which is outdated in need of some real transformation. So a huge mention to Humphrey who was in charge of food and drink, this guy made the effort to speak to everyone, ask if all was ok, any thing that could be done different or to change. He checked on us daily and I think he does a great job in keeping the buffet restaurant going at the pace it should be. Pool area was nice and clean, prices at pool are extortionate, go to the local supermarket and buy what you need, it’s at the fraction of the cost. The beach out front is a hustle and bustle of all locals trying to sell you anything they can. There are only a handful of decent restaurants nearby. Don’t expect anything luxurious, it isn’t what the pictures tell you. The other positive was the spa, this was very well run and the staff were really nice and friendly and facilities were nice. Overall it was not a 5 star experience.

2/5 – Not worthy of a 5-star classification This hotel is advertised as a 5-star property, but unfortunately it does not live up to that standard. The overall impression is that the hotel is old and poorly maintained, with small mistakes and signs of neglect visible almost everywhere you look. The kids’ pool was honestly disastrous and far from what you would expect at a luxury resort. In our room, the fridge was switched off upon arrival, which caused the ice inside to melt and flood the floor with water. Even worse, there was a smoked sausage left inside the fridge from a previous guest. Because the fridge was off, it had started to smell badly — a clear miss by housekeeping and very unpleasant to discover. On the positive side, the staff were friendly, professional, and helpful throughout our stay. We had no complaints at all when it came to service. However, the pricing is extremely inflated. Food and activities cost roughly three times more than what you would pay at nearby restaurants or external providers, yet the quality is subpar, especially considering the prices being charged. The large pool is genuinely nice, and the spa has potential, but again the execution falls short. Broken tiles, visible piping, and signs of mold take away from the experience and reinforce the feeling that maintenance is lacking. Overall, this hotel may have once deserved its 5-star label, but in its current state it does not. With better upkeep, attention to detail, and pricing that matches the quality, it could improve — but as it stands, 2 stars feels generous.

The sea is absolutely beautiful and the atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable. The food is consistently very good, and the tropical weather—around 30–35°C with plenty of sunshine—makes the experience even better. Being right next to the ocean is a big plus. Most of all, the staff are excellent: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without being intrusive.

Horrible experience. Russian owners. Upon arrival after long international flight and having paid in advance, we were told we had to add 1500$ otherwise we wouldn’t get our room. Food was tasteless and very expensive. Very bad experience. Room ac didn’t work very well , and there was a constant odor of mildew in the room.

The breakfast was very good, with enough variety to start the day comfortably. The staff were friendly, warm, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay, which made a big difference. There were dining options available for lunch and dinner. While the menus could be expanded further, I was satisfied with the meals I had — the portions were generous, filling, and tasty. Room cleanliness was excellent. Housekeeping was very attentive and met all my daily needs, including providing bottled water every day. I would especially like to mention Abdulfettah at the front desk. He was extremely professional, kind, and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. His service truly enhanced our overall experience. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and I would gladly recommend this property.
