Hyatt Regency Mainz captivates architecturally, with the symbiosis of contemporary design and historic charm of the integrated Fort Malakoff. Located along the Rhine River, near Mainz Old Town, the hotel is an ideal starting point for both business and leisure travelers. The metropolis of Frankfurt and many cultural and recreational areas of the Rhine-Main area are within reach of our city hotel in Mainz.

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency for one night — the hotel is quite old but well maintained. We were actually getting married on the day of our check-in, so we arranged an early check-in before our ceremony at the Standesamt. We even informed the hotel in advance by email about our special day. However, we were a bit disappointed. At other hotels, when it’s a special occasion like a wedding or birthday, they usually prepare a small decoration or thoughtful gesture in the room. Unfortunately, there was nothing special waiting for us this time. The hotel itself seemed very busy, with lots of meetings, seminar guests, and even Cathay Pacific crew staying there. We also tried to book a table for lunch with our guests, but were first told it was fully booked. Eventually, we managed to sit at the bar area and enjoyed some sparkling wine instead. During this trip, we stayed at three different Hyatt hotels in Germany, and I would say this one was not the best among them.

Very pleasant experience. The hotel location is perfect for walks along the Rhine and near the market square. Service at the Hyatt was exceptional. Loved their breakfast.

Great hotel, great location on the Rhein and close to city center with many dining choices. Large, clean rooms, had a view of the Rhein. Gym, pool and spa area larger than expected. Spa, sauna and steam room with locker area no extra charge. Bar with indoor and outdoor seating. Second time here, now first choice for lodging in this area

Superb hotel. After travelling 10 days around Germany and Europe, this was a standout hotel for us! Easy to get to and secure (yet expensive) parking. We were kindly upgraded to a corner Rhine view room and it was fantastic! Lovely comfy bed - would recommend!

Checked in and assigned room 132. Nice king bedroom with a large desk with a lamp and charger station. We had a huge TV, refrigerator filled with things to purchase, an in-room safe, and a tea pot with all the fixings. Bathroom with both a walk-in shower and a tub. Plenty of room. One too narrow stand for holding a suitcase, while I used the ironing board for my suitcase. We both put on our suits and went down to the pool to exercise. Very long, cool pool, not over shoulder depth. After exercising I got into the very tepid hot tub for several minutes.
