Hyatt Regency Mainz captivates architecturally, with the symbiosis of contemporary design and historic charm of the integrated Fort Malakoff. Located along the Rhine River, near Mainz Old Town, the hotel is an ideal starting point for both business and leisure travelers. The metropolis of Frankfurt and many cultural and recreational areas of the Rhine-Main area are within reach of our city hotel in Mainz.

I'm a big fan of Hyatt Regency and the Hyatt Regency Mainz is worth visiting. It is located adjacent to the Rhine River. It's also centrally located and is a 7-minute walk to the Mainz cathedral and a Gutenberg museum. Amenities are one of the reasons why I continue to stay with Hyatt Regency. The executive lounge has the evening snack hour that provides a plethora of finger foods and in and with the Hyatt Regency in Mainz Germany. They had soup and selection of fresh bread with butter and cheese. Great selection of local wines and the usual sodas and water. They also have finger foods that are that are comprised of rice dishes, some salads, and some type of dessert. The buffet breakfast is a great selection of hot dishes as well as a juice press as well as pastries cold dishes and you can also get your omelette or different types of eggs specially ordered. The underground parking is convenient, especially during the winter season. They have a pretty decent fitness center that have several machines as well as free weights. All in all it was worth paying the extra money or using the my extra points to stay at their Regency and will continue to do so in the future.

The location and atmosphere is great. The room was wonderful. Bed was very comfortable, room clean, bathroom clean. Staff friendly and attentive.

I would not stay here again, even if offered a complimentary room. The primary purpose of any hotel is to provide a restful night’s sleep—a basic expectation this property entirely failed to meet. While the hotel lists air conditioning as an amenity, management artificially throttles the climate control systems, preventing the room from dropping below 23°C. Despite outside nighttime temperatures dipping to 14°C, our room remained trapped at a stifling 23°C and higher—a fact verified using a precision travel thermometer. Consequently, both nights were marked by uncomfortably hot conditions, chronic sleep disruption, and sweating. We left more tired than when we arrived after our flight from the West Coast of Canada. This practice represents intentional greenwashing and cost-cutting at the direct expense of guest comfort, directly contradicting the amenities promised at booking. For context, leading clinical organizations—including the National Sleep Foundation and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine—recommend a bedroom temperature between 15.5°C and 19.4°C, with 18°C widely established as the physiological optimum for restorative rest. Operating rooms at temperatures far exceeding these medical standards while advertising functional AC is misleading and unacceptable.

Be careful with the reservation. Focus on the breakfast, it is not in the room-price. You can get 78 EUR bill - Bellpepper Restaurant... On the first evening the restaurant was reserved for private party. On the second evening we spend our time in the Rheingoldhalle on our business event. But we got the Bellpepper bill - for nothing.

I stayed there for six months and had a wonderful experience with everyone—from the front desk and bar and restaurant staff to housekeeping and management. I would be remiss to name individual employees and risk forgetting someone who contributed to making my stay so enjoyable.
