The Worst Hotel I Have Ever Stayed In

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 8 hours ago

The room was dirty (there was even hair in the bathtub), relatively small, and lacked design appeal. The changing room at the swimming pool was poorly maintained, with dirty floors and a broken shower gel bottle. The restroom in the lobby was also very dirty, and at one point, the elevator even malfunctioned. Overall, I had an extremely poor experience.

Disappointing offerings in Fairmont Gold Lounge quality

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

I need to preface this review by saying that I have stayed in some pretty amazing hotels in Asia. I was told by friends that the Fairmont Makati was the best hotel in Manila. I honestly cannot agree with this. The hotel service is excellent and the staff are certainly of a high standard. The rooms are also nice and spacious. Well appointed, good facilities. Where this hotel lets down the guest is in the Fairmont Gold lounge. The offering there is very limited and I have not been as disappointed with a Fairmont Gold lounge in all my travels. The breakfast is absolutely minimal for a five star property I really expected better. The downstairs main lobby breakfast is much more varied and diverse but there is a lack of quality items.

From Front Desk to Nurse—A Seamless, Caring Experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

From the security team and concierge (Robin and RK) to the front desk staff (especially Juvy and JV), everyone made us feel genuinely welcome and valued. It was the perfect place to celebrate a birthday—clean, quiet, and exactly what we needed. A special shoutout to the hotel lady nurse who consistently checked on our daughter during her fever and even followed up the next day—her care truly meant a lot to us. We also want to thank the Guest Experience team for the outstanding and personalized welcome amenity—it was absolutely exceptional and made our stay feel extra special.

Still Loved Fairmont But with some reservations

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Stayed here several times , even before the pandemic. For business . For leisure. The location , awesome elegant amenities , wonderful meals at Soectrum , cleanliness and sustainability efforts make it worthy of any recognition . Had my reservations however with what I felt at the Gold club lounge. While it looks fancy, I noted that some staff play favorites. Big time guests , celebrities get priorities .0nly bright spot was manager Angelo whose trouble shooting skills and humilițy gave make my preference to this hotels. Breakfast buffet and long range Wi-Fi are magnificent as well.
