We celebrated two of the biggest milestones of our lives at Discovery Boracay—our pre-wedding shoot in May, our wedding on June 26, and our honeymoon immediately after. Looking back, choosing Discovery was easily one of the best decisions we made throughout our entire wedding journey. We expected a beautiful beachfront resort. What we didn’t expect was to feel so genuinely cared for. From the moment we arrived, the entire team made us feel like family. Our room was filled with thoughtful, personalized touches that completely exceeded our expectations: framed photos of us, a printed copy of my wife’s wedding vows, a personalized welcome message on the TV, a handwritten honeymoon greeting on the mirror signed by the housekeeping team, beautiful flowers, desserts, welcome gifts, towel art, and so many other little surprises. None of it felt routine or scripted. Every detail felt personal, as if everyone at Discovery was celebrating this milestone with us. The service throughout our stay was simply exceptional. Every interaction was warm, sincere, and effortless. We never once felt like just another guest—we truly felt at home. I’d especially like to recognize a few people who made our experience even more memorable: * Antoneth (Sales Manager) – Thank you for your patience and professionalism throughout the entire wedding planning process. You accommodated every request with genuine care and always made us feel reassured. * Mara (F&B Supervisor) – Your warmth and attentiveness never went unnoticed. * Lara (Signature Suites) – Thank you for always responding quickly and professionally. * Joemarie (Bartender) – Excellent cocktails, great conversations, and an infectious smile. * Ian Viray (Sales Head, Discovery Group) – Thank you for helping start this journey from day one and for guiding us every step of the way. As wonderful as our stay was, what impressed us the most was the wedding itself. The Events and Banquet Team executed everything flawlessly. Every detail had clearly been planned well in advance. There were directional signages around the resort guiding our guests to the ceremony and reception, and we were incredibly impressed that there was already a fully prepared backup venue in case of bad weather. Knowing everything had been anticipated allowed us, our families, and our guests to simply relax and enjoy one of the happiest days of our lives. The food deserves special recognition as well. Everything was delicious, and the portions were incredibly generous. Our reception was for around 40 guests, yet there was still plenty of food left for us to enjoy the following day. What amazed us even more was that the team gladly stored everything, reheated it, and served it to us again without us even having to worry about it. That level of service is rare. After the wedding, my dad summed up the experience perfectly: “Yan ang tunay na handa.” Not just a feast—but a celebration where every detail had already been anticipated. Everything was truly ready. No place is ever perfect, and if I could offer one small suggestion, it would only be regarding maintenance. During our stay in May, the jacuzzi occasionally wasn’t working, and during our honeymoon the TV in our suite was acting up, while the plunge pool heater took a little longer than expected to warm up. These were honestly very minor issues and barely registered because the genuine hospitality of every member of the Discovery team far outweighed them. I mention them only because Discovery Boracay is already operating at such a high standard that resolving these small maintenance concerns would make the experience even more exceptional. To everyone—from housekeeping, front office, engineering, security, food & beverage, the events and banquet team, and all the people working behind the scenes—thank you. You didn’t just host our wedding. You became part of one of the most important memories of our lives. Years from now, whenever we look back on our wedding day, Discovery Boracay will always be part of that story. We can’t wait to come home. ★★★★★

Our stay at Discovery Boracay was truly one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had. From our airport arrival, van transfer, boat ride, and warm welcome at the resort until check-out, everything was smooth and exceptionally well organized. If you’re looking for a peaceful, relaxing, and private vacation, away from the crowded areas of Boracay, this is the perfect place. The resort offers a calm atmosphere, stunning beachfront, and outstanding service. It’s definitely worth every peso. A heartfelt thank you to Front Office Manager Ms. Donna Baladiang for ensuring our stay was seamless and memorable. We also appreciate the amazing airport, van, boat crew, and hotel drivers for making every transfer comfortable and hassle-free. Special thanks to the incredible Housekeeping Team—Gem, Mech, Mark, Doni, Ralph, Phell, Jecmar, and Gian—for keeping our room spotless and for the beautiful anniversary room setup. Your thoughtful touches made our celebration extra special. A big thank you as well to the team at Sands Restaurant, especially Ms. Marian and Sir Joemar, for their exceptional hospitality. The buffet breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of fresh and high-quality dishes to choose from every morning. The food, service, and ambiance made every breakfast something to look forward to. What truly sets Discovery Boracay apart is its people. Every staff member we met was warm, approachable, attentive, and always greeted us with genuine smiles. Their hospitality made us feel at home throughout our stay. We stayed at Discovery Boracay in May and came away feeling quite disappointed. The biggest positive was the staff. Every member of the team we interacted with was friendly, welcoming and genuinely did their best to make our stay enjoyable. They deserve a lot of credit and are the reason this isn’t a lower rating. Unfortunately, the resort itself didn’t live up to what we’d expect from a five-star property, especially considering the premium price. The facilities felt tired in places, and the food was consistently underwhelming throughout our stay. As visitors from the UK, we also found there were very few dining options that catered to international tastes, so meals quickly became repetitive. We chose Discovery because of its reputation and were happy to pay more for what we expected would be a luxury experience. Instead, it felt fairly average and didn’t offer the level of quality or value that the price suggests. It’s a shame because the people working there really care and provide excellent service, but the resort itself needs investment and improvements to match the standard it’s marketed as. Would I return? Probably not, especially given the number of other resorts in Boracay that offer better value.

We are currently celebrating our wedding anniversary at Discovery Boracay, and everything has been nothing short of amazing! From the warm welcome at the airport, the comfortable van transfer, and the friendly boat crew, every part of our arrival was seamless and made us feel truly valued. A special thank you to Paula, our Guest Experience Maker (GEM), for taking such wonderful care of us. She has been incredibly kind, responsive, and attentive to every detail, making our stay even more memorable. Our heartfelt appreciation also goes to the amazing Housekeeping Team—Mark, Lei, Jemar, Shaira, Boni, Melfe, Mich, and Mary—for the beautiful wedding anniversary room decoration. It was such a thoughtful surprise that made our celebration extra special. Thank you for keeping our room spotless and comfortable throughout our stay. We also had a wonderful dining experience at Osteria Forno. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was outstanding. Thank you to Sir Marlon and Rustom for being so warm, attentive, and professional. So far, every staff member we have encountered has been genuinely friendly and welcoming. Discovery Boracay truly knows how to make guests feel at home. We are still enjoying our stay and haven’t checked out yet, but we can already say this has been one of the best resort experiences we’ve ever had.
