I came with my family for the new years eve countdown and it was a delightful experience because of the party beforehand . The highlight was the guest DJ Ron Poe who really made the night fun and exciting , with all the guest dancing and enjoying the music. After which was the amazing fireworks enjoyed by guests and the people at the beach side Thank you Discovery Boracay for this

The room was clean and equipped with thoughtful amenities. Bed was very comfortable. Daily housekeeping nicely done with a plate of dessert on the table and artistically folded towels on the bed. All the hotel staff we encountered were very friendly, courteous, enthusiastic and responsive which created a very inviting atmosphere.

We had our dinner at starlite indigo at club deck. Food are great and the service of Emil and Remel are excellent. Ambiance is awesome! It was really a great experience for us, we are speechless when we saw the table arrangement. EXCELLENT experience. KUdos to Remel and Emil!

I'm still a little shocked at how bad this hotel for the $500+ a night price tag. We had high hopes but were very pleased we only had two days here and is by far the worst value we've ever received in a hotel. Good points: - Friendly staff who often engage in conversation. - Some nice touches like a morning snack, good turndown service and welcome drinks. - Good location on the beautiful Boracay Beach - Rooms are a decent size and beds are comfortable; along king size beds are two beds joined with a big gap. Bad things: - Very rundown resort with paint flaking, tiles cracked, stair nosings peeling and water features having no water. Honestly; it's so dated that it needs a huge refurbishment and the prices being charged feel as if you're being bent over and shafted by the hotel. It would not be good at half the price. - Small overcrowded pool with no spare sunbeds. It's like a budget jet2holiday hotel in that sense. Not even a 3, let alone a 5 star hotel. - Slow service at the bars for drinks - we always had to go up and ask for a menu and to order rather than someone coming over. Though the staff are trained to see hello at every opportunity, they are not all attentive. Tables also cleared very slowly. - Breakfast is atrocious with food running out and everyone queuing and jostling in a 1M galley in between the buffet and tables to get average food. It's worse than a crappy motel and we skipped breakfast on day two and bought our own at a cafe next door. We've never done that before in our life and stay at dozens of hotels a year. A personal peeve is that they serve shark fin dumplings for breakfast. It's an abhorrent industry that is destroying the oceans and hotels - especially those that rely on the ocean - shouldn't support it. I've never seen another hotel, outside of China, that serves it. There are some amazing hotels in the Philippines but this is not one of them!!!!! It's shockingly bad and should never be rated as 5 star.
