We spent two lovely nights here on our honeymoon. The pool villa was very convenient for swimming and relaxing. The villa host and all the staff were warm and polite, and the food was delicious. This will be an unforgettable memory for us!

Exceptional Island within the Anantara Maldives resort

The Veli island within the Anantara Resort (x3 island products) is exceptional. Instead of the over water villas, we chose the Beach Pool Villas which we were delighted with; the hotel product is exceptional, very generous, and really can’t be criticised. F&B in every outlet was excellent. Staff can’t do enough to ensure you have everything you need. Other reviews comment on the pricing, and yes, it is expensive - but if you want total 5* then this has it. We actually took the ‘all-inclusive’ dining package which definitely worked for us - but just be aware that in several restaurants you have an ‘allowance’ so have to pay if you exceed this $60ph budget, plus wines by the glass are inc, and anything else you pay for. Overall we felt we received value for money. All the positive reviews are spot on about the product and service; which is exceptional. Only thing we didn’t like was sadly the main island Dhigu - because of the people with their spoilt, non-controlled kids, running amok and being rude to staff - but what can you do about that…

My wife and I had a great honeymoon here at Anatarra Veli. There was lots to do and great food options. We also really enjoyed the great service from the staff and privacy on the island.
