Anantara Veli Maldives Resort

We chose Anantara Veli for our honeymoon. It was perfect! The best surprise was definitely Phyu, who was our concierge during our 4-night stay. We received her full attention for tips, restaurant reservations and well-being. Furthermore, I had a small injury from a fall, and Phyu helped with medication, a ride and lots of attention! In addition to the hotel being a dream, the treatment we received from her was unforgettable. We'll be back soon! Thank you for everything Phyu and Anantara team! Already miss you and all this dream place.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our stay at Anantara Maldives was absolutely unforgettable, and a huge part of that was thanks to our amazing Villa Host, Ibrahim. From the very first day, Ibrahim made us feel truly welcomed and cared for. He was always kind, professional, attentive, and incredibly responsive to everything we needed. Every detail was handled with such warmth and genuine hospitality that it felt more like staying with family than at a hotel. He went above and beyond to make our stay special, ensuring everything was perfectly arranged and always checking in to make sure we were happy and comfortable. His positive attitude and dedication truly elevated our entire experience. A special thank you as well to Mohammed from Dohini Bar, who was always friendly, welcoming, and made every visit enjoyable with his great service and positive energy. Just wonderful. The staff are 1st class and more. From Ibrahim who looked after us everyday to Nevika and the Spa team. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommended (tandoori lamb chops, do not miss)

I booked last minute because I had three days off and I was in Dubai for work, and choosing this resort was honestly the best decision. I highly recommend it. It’s only about 30 minutes by speedboat from Malé, which makes a huge difference. You don’t waste time waiting for seaplane schedules (and they also have to pick up guests and fly from island to island). Most importantly, if you arrive on an evening flight, you can still take the boat at night, while seaplanes don’t operate after sunset. When I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised because I hadn’t realised there are three Anantara resorts next to each other, all within the same lagoon. Anantara Veli is directly connected to Anantara Dhigu, while the third island is private and not accessible to guests. If you stay at Anantara Veli, which is Adults Only, you can easily take the boat to Anantara Dhigu and enjoy a change of atmosphere. It’s very convenient because it gives you many more options in terms of restaurants, pools and things to do. You can also visit Picnic Island, where the sea is absolutely stunning. The lagoon is large, safe and perfect for swimming. The service is impeccable, as you would expect from Anantara. I didn’t try every restaurant, but there are many choices available, so you definitely won’t get bored. What truly makes the difference is the spa, which I strongly recommend. In particular, Dr. Anish, a body healer: through acupuncture he managed to eliminate all my stress in just a few days and made me feel so much better. The therapists are excellent and the spa is truly top level. The room was very spacious and had a beautiful view over the lagoon. I stayed in a water villa and it was absolutely stunning. A small tip: the Deluxe villas have a more comfortable ladder than the Superior ones, as it’s wider and makes getting into the water much easier. The villa has the classic Maldivian style, well maintained and very pleasant. It’s a resort I would happily return to. And finally… Peach truly made the difference, a perfect battler! ❤️
