Anantara Veli Maldives Resort

After 30 minutes of boat ride, we were welcomed with the staff at the reception jetty and fresh coconut beautifully carved with Anantara Veli stamp. Our first impression of the resort was really breathtaking, with the pristine clear water and beautiful resort. The food was amazing, having opt for a full board package, we tried every option of foods we can and any restaurant we chose can never disappoint. The staff at all of the restaurant we went were very good in explaining the menus and attending us. Our Deluxe Overwater Bungalow was the highlight of our trip — waking up each morning to panoramic ocean views although bear in mind that we are lucky our unit is facing ocean, there are some units that will be facing the beach and pontoon route. We also had the chance to go scuba diving, and it was an incredible experience. Our instructor, Martha, was extremely patient, attentive, and helpful, making us feel completely at ease in the water. Although the visibility is not the best but we can still see beautiful marine life at the dive site. The dive boat is also spacious and comfortable. Lastly, a special grattitude to our villa host, Fara, who are always there to assist us with our every needs. Although she handled multiple villas but the response we receive from her is always immediate. Fara made sure we felt cared for every step of the way.

A Truly Magical Home Away from Home – Our Second Visit Felt Like Family Returning to Anantara Veli for the second time felt like coming home — and somehow, it was even more special than the first. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were treated not as guests, but as family. A special mention must go to Chef Manoj at Fushi Café. What a kind soul! He went above and beyond to spoil us every single day. If there was something we enjoyed that wasn’t on the buffet, he always made a plan to prepare it just for us. His warmth, creativity, and attention to detail made every meal feel like a personal celebration. Rashad, our room attendant, was equally amazing. Our villa was always spotless, and his turn-down service was thoughtful and elegant. On our special occasion, he surprised us with beautiful touches that made the moment even more memorable. His friendly nature and care did not go unnoticed. Ibrahim, our in-villa host, made our stay absolutely magical. Nothing was ever too much for him — even when we forgot something, he somehow found a way to help us get it. He was a key part of making our anniversary unforgettable, surprising us with a room upgrade and checking in regularly to ensure everything was perfect. From the first welcome to our final goodbye, his kindness and professionalism stood out. Kiki, our waiter, brought joy and warmth to every interaction. Always cheerful, always attentive — he made sure our glasses were never empty and our needs were always met. It’s people like him that make Anantara Veli feel like a home away from home. And Tippu — what a gem! She served us at Baan Huraa and turned every meal into a memory. Her handwritten anniversary letter brought tears to our eyes. She is truly one of a kind and made us feel incredibly special. We also want to thank Hanu and Wacho and Dylan for making our restaurant visits enjoyable and seamless. Your friendliness and attention made every meal even better. If we’ve forgotten anyone by name, please know that every single staff member at Anantara Veli contributes to the magic of this place. The service, the smiles, the personal touches — it’s all simply world-class. We are so grateful for this second unforgettable stay and we’re already dreaming of our return. I truly enjoyed my stay at the resort — it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. I loved the place, the atmosphere, and the resort’s team. The room was excellent and very clean, which added to our comfort throughout the trip.
