Our second trip to the Maldives this year and we have been lucky to stay at some fantastic hotels and resorts of late: this however was the highlight. Travelling as a family of 3 with 7 month old. We selected this hotel based on our desire for a large water villa, indoor bathroom (wife not a fan of the open ones!) and a La carte dining (as opposed to buffet). We benefitted from off season pricing and we’re lucky with the weather although actually the odd heavy shower and rough sea was fun it’s own way. Rooms: generous sized water villas with or without pool. Charming large decks with sun beds, table chairs, pools optional overlooking crystal blue waters with rays swimming around. And yes, indoor bathroom with air conditioning for the wife! Plentiful water, towels and places to store things or charge phones/laptops etc. Dining: this was a real showstopper. On any night there were 3 a La carte restaurants on offer plus the buffet - and that’s for about 70 or so properties. Standout was Yama with first rate Japanese cuisine in an over water setting. Both food and service as good as anything you’d pay top dollar for in the west. Also notable La Limonai for 4 course Italian with long views over the beach and out to sea. And Fuego which is a beach BBQ in the most relaxing and memorable of settings. In all cases wide range of dishes. If you like Japanese or Italian food you will be in heaven. Lunch: excellent a la carte pool bar called Mirto, a sourdough pizza station or buffet option. Again, first class all round and staff cannot do enough for you. Also worth noting in room dining is complimentary and has its own exciting menu - a nice change or fall back plan with infant. Drinks: we found the wine list and selection to be outstanding. At least 20 wines on the all inclusive ranging from Champagne to desert wines and with fun Italian selections making up the bulk of it. Pool bar was a lovely place to spend time with live music most nights. Mini bar included and refilled daily - we arrived to be told no wine included in mini bar but had emailed in advance to get them to confirm it was and the hotel promptly put this right. Final comment: there is a lot that’s already written or pictures ref this property so you can make a well informed decision safe in the knowledge that staff are top draw (RJ running the dining is certainly a guy that knows his trade but many others of note too) the beach and facilities amazing and rooms 5*. There are many comments though that the hotel is bland and not luxurious - to put this right the hotel is minimalist in design - neutral tones but huge windows - and let’s the setting and views do the talking. It is certainly luxurious and comfortable but perhaps not a loud Instagram style image like you find in Dubai - don’t let that out you off! Highly recommended. My family and I would love to return - perhaps to try a beach villa next time!

I had the best time with my family at the Baglioni Resort Maldives. It was my first time visiting the Maldives, and I couldn’t have asked for a better customized island week/holiday away from work and regular life. The island-life, especially with Baglioni was nothing short of special, homey and beautiful. The staff, especially Diana who took care of events for the family during the week, as well as, Hari, Shahadat, Arun, Ananya, Nituu, Khaasu, Sakib, Naymur and not forgetting the ever-smiling Ali. Each one of them made our stay memorable and have probably spoiled us for all future trips 😄 Thank you Team Baglioni! You were amazing.

Had the most amazing stay at Baglioni Maldives! 🌴✨ Huge thanks to Chingez who looked after us the whole trip and made everything so easy, and to Chef Barun for the incredible food and hospitality. The variety of food, beautiful reefs, modern amenities, spotless housekeeping, and a dreamy massage from Dorothi made it unforgettable. Can’t wait to come back!

One of the best hotels in Maldives that we have ever stayed at. Every member of Staff is very attentive, friendly and always willing to help. Special mention to our GRO Diana who always helped us with reservations and any questions during our stay. The gastronomy at Baglioni Resort Maldives is amazing with every restaurant offering different cuisines. We loved the Japanese restaurant, Yama, and would like to give a special mention to chef Ajay and his team for the amazing dishes they create which could easily be compared to top restaurants around the world such as Nobu or Zuma. The whole team at Yama is fantastic as Yerma, Krishtina and others were super polite and attentive, making the experience even better. The other dining option is Taste buffet where the team also stands out from chef Barum who offers to make any dish that is not on the buffet. I would definitely mention RJ and Jack from Taste who are great professionals. Italian restaurant Limonaia was great with an amazing menu and always great service from Ali. We also loved the outdoor grill restaurant Fuego where the meat was always fresh and the service was also amazing. Sharon and Gemma also stood out for us as they were always incredibly positive and happy to help or simply have a conversation. Speaking about the bar options and wine list, we were left very happy as all cocktails were prepared by professionals and the hotel has a great selection of liquors and other drinks. The rooms are cleaned two times per day and always during the time when we were not in the room which is very convenient. Overall we had an amazing stay and we can’t wait to come back!
