Baglioni Resort Maldives

This was our third visit to Baglioni Resort Maldives, which tells you all you need to know! A truly amazing island where all the staff go above and beyond at every opportunity to make your stay feel memorable. Chingiz has looked after us the last two visits and is absolutely fantastic and a credit to himself and the resort, nothing is ever too much trouble for him. There are five brilliant places to eat with plenty of choice - Yama is our favourite restaurant though - authentic Japanese cuisine set over the water. There's plenty to do too - water sports, snorkeling around the amazing reef surrounding the island, day / evening excursions, there's a gym and spa with plenty of different treatments, a Tennis court, pool table and table tennis table as well as daily activities and a weekly Maldivian evening every Friday. Our favourite time was sunset, where we sat at the Pool bar watching some of the most breathtaking views. Too many other staff to thank for making our most recent visit so perfect but a big thank you to Naresh, Prabash, Ella, Jack and Ameen. All took the time to get to know us and very quickly knew what we ordered, where we like to sit and what we enjoyed to eat/drink. It is this level of service that means that if we are lucky enough to return to the Maldives, we will not consider going anywhere else.

From the moment we arrived, the Baglioni resort in the Maldives exceeded every expectation and redefined what luxury truly feels like. Set in the most breathtaking surroundings, with crystal-clear turquoise waters and powder-soft white sand, it felt like stepping into a dream. Our water villa was absolutely stunning—spacious and beautifully designed. Waking up to uninterrupted ocean views and stepping straight into the warm lagoon was something we’ll never forget. One of the most special parts of our stay was the incredible room service. Our room attendant was not only super friendly and attentive, but he truly went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. Every single day, he surprised our son with beautifully crafted sea animals made from towels, and it absolutely made his day—every day. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, always going above and beyond to ensure every moment was perfect. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and their personal touches made us feel incredibly special. The dining experience was equally outstanding. Each meal was a delight, with a wide variety of high-quality dishes, beautifully presented and full of flavor. Whether it was a romantic dinner on the beach, beautiful setup and absolutely delicious food at Yama or a relaxed lunch at Mitro Pool bar, every setting was unforgettable. The resort offers the perfect balance of relaxation and activities. From snorkeling in vibrant coral reefs to simply unwinding with a cocktail at sunset, there is something for every mood. The peaceful atmosphere makes it ideal for completely switching off and soaking in the beauty of paradise. If you’re looking for a place that combines luxury, serenity, and world-class hospitality, this resort is simply perfect. We are already dreaming of coming back.

My experience practicing yoga with Arun Dev at Baglioni Maldives has been truly exceptional and deeply enriching. From the very first session, it was clear that Arun brings not only a high level of technical expertise, but also a genuine presence and sensitivity that make each class unique. As a yoga teacher myself, I deeply appreciate the level of attention and intention he brings into his teaching. Every class feels thoughtfully structured, centered, and tailored to the energy and needs of the participants in that moment. I attended his morning classes daily, and occasionally the afternoon sessions as well, and each time I found something new—whether it was in the depth of a posture, the fluidity of a transition, or the awareness brought through breathwork. His ability to guide students with such precision is remarkable: he observes every detail, gently correcting alignment and posture with clarity and care, ensuring both safety and progression. One of the aspects I valued most is how adaptable his teaching is. Whether guiding a dynamic vinyasa flow, a deeply restorative yin practice, or focused breathing sessions, Arun calibrates each class beautifully according to the time of day and the people present. This creates a practice that feels both personal and harmonious with the surrounding environment. I also had the pleasure of bringing my mother to his afternoon classes. Despite not being very familiar with yoga, she felt completely at ease and benefited greatly from his guidance. This speaks volumes about his ability to connect with practitioners of all levels, creating a space that is both welcoming and transformative. Practicing with Arun is more than just attending a yoga class—it is a true wellness experience that enhances the entire stay at Baglioni Maldives. His presence adds a meaningful and memorable dimension to the journey, and I am deeply grateful for the time spent learning from him. I would wholeheartedly recommend his classes to anyone seeking not only physical practice, but also a deeper connection with body, breath, and self.

I just had the most amazing yoga experience in the Maldives at the Baglioni Resort.it started with a walk at sunrise to a stunning yoga space and continued with Arun Dev who is a wonderful instructor that made subtle adjustments to give me maximum benefit to my practice. The practice finished with sound bowls and all my senses were quieter, I was able to take in the peace, the tropical birds and the beautiful surroundings. I feel like a new person, incredibly grateful, incredibly blessed and profoundly changed by this opportunity. Thanking God everyday for the blessings!
