I had a wonderful stay and was very happy with the room service. The room was kept very clean and comfortable, and the room boy was friendly, polite, and attentive to our needs. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, with a very comfortable noise level. All the amenities were well maintained and made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, the service and cleanliness were excellent, and I truly appreciate the effort and care provided throughout our stay.♥️🤗

I enjoyed wonderful time at the banyan tree. All staff are very kind. Especially Ahmed in the Thai restaurant was so nice ,gave me nice smile and excellent service. For example, he guided us to a better seat. He told a lot of information of Maldives. Thanks to him, I had a wonderful holiday. Finally house keeper Fairooz gave me so clean room everyday and nice decoration for our anniversary and birthday.Thank you.

We spent ten nights here, and I think “manicured wilderness” is the best way to describe Vabbinfaru. The resort is designed almost like a small village, with wooden structures, thatched roofs and trees all around. The smell of the wood and the sea, the paths through the island, the uninterrupted views from the beach - it really does deliver on that Robinson Crusoe sense of remoteness. Getting there was surprisingly simple for somewhere that feels this secluded. About five minutes after clearing passport control we were sitting in the boat, and within roughly half an hour we were standing on the island. Very pleasant after a long journey. We stayed in a Beachfront Pool Villa. I particularly loved the outdoor space, where we could have lunch or dinner on the terrace in privacy, looking straight out at the water. The hammock was excellent for reading in the afternoon. Inside, the bedding was of very good quality and the AC worked perfectly. We spent much of our time around the villa, and I think having so much outdoor space explains why the island never felt constraining. This genuinely surprised us - after ten days, it still felt pleasantly intimate and peaceful. I do want to give particular thanks to our host, Okta. She made us feel like we were staying with a local host who was looking after us personally. She checked on us at breakfast and via WhatsApp during the day, and whatever we needed was promptly arranged. Excursion bookings, reservations, small requests - she was helpful with all of it, and often dealt with things pre-emptively. We felt very well looked after throughout the stay. Fipit in the restaurant somehow remembered everything about us by the second day, including our food preferences and drink orders for both breakfast and dinner. She was always polite and attentive, and the precision of her service genuinely reminded me of the Park Hyatt Kyoto. All of the restaurant staff were excellent, and we were always very happy to see her. Fairooz kept our villa pristine and was incredibly flexible about when to do the housekeeping. On days when we only left the villa for dinner, he would do it then. That flexibility around our schedule and preferences was something we found throughout the resort, and it made a considerable difference to how relaxed we felt. We would come back from dinner to find flowers arranged on the bed, and he also left us little souvenir magnets. We really appreciated the care he took. The food deserves a proper mention. The butter paneer was an absolute standout, made with hydroponic tomatoes grown in the resort’s garden. All the Thai and Maldivian dishes we tried were delicious. Breakfast was excellent too: pancakes and French toast done perfectly, delicious smoothies and plenty of savoury options. My favourite was the Vabbinfaru toast with mas huni and eggplant. We did not get tired of the food over ten days. The rotating menu in the main restaurant helped, along with the room-service menu and the second, Japanese restaurant, which has gorgeous architecture. Food intolerances were handled flawlessly. Swimming was superb. The water was beautifully clear, and with the reef accessible straight from the beach, even an ordinary swim meant entering a space with wild animals. My favourite encounter was with a sea turtle. We also saw several devil rays, a stingray, what I think was a triggerfish and essentially the whole cast of Finding Nemo. There were small sharks swimming through the sandy areas too. They kept their distance from us, as we did from them. On a guided snorkel with the Marine Lab team, we even saw a pregnant shark resting in a cave beneath the reef. There was so much to see, but we were always mindful of the marine life around us. Our thanks extend to the Marine Lab team as well. Most evenings we watched the sunset from the infinity pool. The sunsets were gorgeous from the beach and outside the villa too, although the pool became our usual spot. Personally, I would happily spend sunset there rather than book a cruise. Some of the villa’s finishes are a little tired. Given the style of the resort, we did not mind and found much of it rather charming. Everything worked. The hot tub shows its age more noticeably, although it was perfectly clean and worked fine. Our villa pool did turn green at one point. Staff were there within an hour of us mentioning it to Okta, though it took about 24 hours for the water to clear. Now that we are back, I miss being able to spend an afternoon reading in the hammock, go for a swim and have dinner on the terrace with that view. Vabbinfaru was genuinely a wonderful place to relax. The remote island fantasy is very much there, along with the hyper-attentive service and delicious food. Thank you especially to Okta, Fipit and Fairooz, and to all of the staff across the resort and Marine Lab. We have singled out the people who looked after us daily, though the flexibility and attention we appreciated so much were present throughout our stay.

I want to sincerely thank Holly, my host, for making me feel so welcomed and cared for at Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru. Your warmth truly made this stay more colorful. To David, the head of the all-day kitchen, thank you for creating everything so wonderfully, and for serving food that was truly delicious. Because of you, I’m leaving happily and well To the F&B staff, especially Ahmed, thank you for your thoughtful, attentive service. You made me feel so comfortable, like I was at home. To Uma, thank you for your wonderful hospitality at the pool. Because of you, my pool time was truly wonderful. To the shopping center staff (I’m sorry I don’t know your names), thank you for being so kind and supportive whenever I was shopping. And to the Sunset cruise staff, thank you for capturing the best sunset photos for me. I’m sorry I didn’t ask your name, but I’ll always remember that beautiful photo. Also, thank you to all the massage therapists. Because of your care, I was able to feel energized and refreshed the whole time. Thank you all again for making this stay so special.
