Cheval Blanc Randheli

My wife and I have been fortunate enough to travel all over the world and stay at some truly extraordinary hotels. But after all these years and all these places, we can confidently say that Cheval Blanc Randheli is our favorite place in the world. We have never experienced hospitality quite like this. We travel constantly, yet Randheli is the only hotel we have returned to three times — and we have already made it a personal goal to come back every year. And then, of course, there is the sheer beauty of the place. The lagoon is breathtaking, with an incredible coral reef and an extraordinary diversity of marine life. One of our favorite things to do every time we come back is simply explore it — looking for rays, turtles and fish, and discovering how the lagoon seems to be different every single day. Even after three visits, there is always something new to see. But what makes this place so special goes far beyond the beauty of the Maldives or the incredible villas. It is the people. Every single member of the team, from the General Manager to our Majordomes and everyone we meet throughout the day, has an extraordinary ability to make you feel genuinely cared for. There is a warmth and kindness here, particularly from the Maldivian and Sri Lankan team, that is very difficult to put into words. At Randheli, “no” simply doesn’t seem to exist in their vocabulary. Some of our favorite memories are things we could hardly imagine anywhere else: having an incredible Chinese dinner on the beach while watching a movie under the stars, or enjoying an intimate French dinner that felt as if we had an entire island to ourselves. The same philosophy extends to the bars and restaurants. Whenever my wife wanted a particular cocktail — even something that wasn’t on the menu — the answer was never “we don’t have it.” They simply found a way to make it for her. And somehow, despite being on a remote island in the middle of the Indian Ocean, the cocktails are among the best we have had anywhere in the world. Every drink is beautifully crafted and perfectly balanced, especially those made by Maribul, the White Bar Ambassador, whose talent and attention to detail make every visit to the bar feel special. And a very special thank you has to go to Gasim - mr. G, who has become such an important part of our experience at Randheli. He simply does not rest until everything is perfect. No request ever feels like too much, and he is always there with a smile, ready to help at any time of the day. It is rare to meet someone who takes such genuine pleasure in making other people happy, and he is one of the reasons this place feels so much like home to us. It is the feeling that everyone genuinely wants to make your time here unforgettable. After traveling so much of the world, very few places still manage to surprise us. Randheli does, every single time. This was our third visit, certainly not our last, and hopefully the beginning of a tradition of coming back every year. This is probably the best property in the Maldives in my opinion. The attention to detail, the branding, the service and culinary experience are just unbelievable. Everything from their airport lounge, to their sea plane, villa and spa is top notch. My butler Mr G deserves a very special mention. He's probably the best butler I've ever had too. Thanks to everyone for making this so special for me and my family 🙏

Amazing Spa. Behannan is the best therapist in all the Maldives. All the Guerlain spa is beautiful and you can experience many products there. As for the resort, I guess it s not my cup of tea, plastic thatched roofs are a definitive ethical problem for me, a daily disappointment to watch, we care about the environment and to see so much plastic all around the ocean and nature is something you do not wish to experience. I don t consider this " luxury". On the other hand all staff are super nice and welcoming and they went the extra mile to make us feel cared about, excellent and efficient professionals. I felt the hotel restaurants are understaffed, as all meal orders at all times take too much time. Special thanks to our butler Adhly and the general manager who were especially lovely.

Equipment is pristine, instruction is thoughtful, and the ocean becomes part of the resort’s living room. And then there’s the food — starting with pastry that borders on the divine. Chef Arthurr Lambert’s pastries are in a category of their own. Precise, expressive, and deeply indulgent without ever being heavy. Each creation feels intentional, balanced, and joyful — the kind of pastry that makes you stop mid-conversation because your brain needs a moment. World-class is an understatement. The Italian cuisine across the resort is equally exceptional. Authentic, soulful, and executed with confidence. This isn’t hotel Italian — it’s the kind of cooking that respects tradition while embracing the setting. Fresh ingredients, perfect pacing, and flavors that linger just long enough to make you plan your next meal before finishing the last. What ultimately separates Cheval Blanc Randheli from other ultra-luxury resorts is coherence. Everything — service, design, food, activity, atmosphere — works in concert. There are no weak notes. No “almosts.” It’s rare to find a place that exceeds expectations at this level. Rarer still to find one that does it effortlessly. Cheval Blanc Randheli doesn’t just raise the bar — it reminds you where it was always supposed to be. , superb service, impeccable food and pastry.
