My husband and I went to Kuda Huraa in 2001 for our honeymoon and had beautiful memories of a tropical paradise. We went back in June this year for the renewal of vows on our 25th wedding anniversary. We had the most wonderful and unforgettable experience. Ammu and his team―Wasiu, Ibrahim, Aroon and Brian―organized the perfect island wedding anniversary celebration, paying attention to every detail and satisfying all our requests. Ibrahim created the most beautiful traditional Maldivian decorations, including my bridal bouquet and the buggy, with local tropical floral arrangements. The extremely talented photographer Aroon also gave us beautiful memories. We had Maldivian music during the ceremony and a dinner for two at the end of the night, in a private and romantic setting looking out to sea, at the Kandu restaurant. The chefs prepared a delicious dinner (considering our food restrictions) and a beautifully decorated cake, that we enjoyed very much. Angelica and her team also provided for us a very pleasant, personalized Spa experience. The local staff was very kind and professional everywhere in the Resort. One night they even asked us if we wanted a dish that we had eaten there when we first visited 25 years ago, and then they made it! Wonderful memories! We highly recommend the Kuda Huraa Resort for an unforgettable couples’ retreat or Anniversary celebration.

My wife an I last visited the Four Seasons Kuda Huraa (FSKH) many years ago to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Since that time we have experienced much in life. We grew together, built businesses together and yes..we have been fortunate to to travel to many parts of the world and experience many wonderful Hotels. So it was with a little trepidation that we decided to return after so many years. So often our memories reflect how we felt at the time. Would our rosy retrospection of youth, the nostalgia of being amazed by the Four Seasons and the Maldives for the first time still hold true all these years later. We can happily report that the Four Seasons Kuda Huraa impressed us even more this time! It has improved in so many ways and exceeded our expectations. Spoiler alert - it is so good, that we rebooked for next year ,even before departing. What has changed.. and what has improved? Firstly the refresh of the Villas has been a great success. The space afforded to us in our sunrise beach villa allowed us to totally relax and enjoy the peace and serenity. Every aspect of the villa has been thoughtfully considered and perfectly implemented. Everywhere your eye is drawn to perfect sights. The huge panoramic window that frames your private pool, cabana and the white sands of the beach. The clever us of internal space, high ceilings and quality furnishings blends perfectly with the outdoors. The FSKH now feels like the 'newest' resort in the Maldives. The food offerings have also improved. A long leisurely breakfast sets you up for the day ahead. After 5 nights we still found interesting options for breakfast, not an easy thing at an island resort. The Indian restaurant continues to impress and we enjoyed 2 wonderful dinners there. We were fortunate to also experience the talent and skills of Marco (one of the head chefs) at the Grill. He prepared a meal that was seriously worthy of a michelin star establishment. His care and enthusiasm shone through and the meal was a highlight of our stay. Every member of the FSKH team were engaging, professional and supremely confident in their abilities. This was demonstrated, not in an arrogant way, but in a calm reassuring manner. We both felt that we had found (or in our case re-found) paradise. There are so many more aspects of FSKH that i could describe, from the perfectly manicured and maintained gardens to the the amazing turtle recovery centre and the 'must do' spa. In the end, every aspect of this resort delivered on the concept of quiet luxury. The intuitive and proactive approach of all staff was a pleasure to witness. If you are planning your first trip to the Maldives..or, like us..returning, then please consider the Four Seasons Kuda Hurra. You will not be sorry.

We have been returning to Four Seasons Kuda Huraa year after year, and with each visit it becomes more difficult to think of it simply as a hotel. It has become a place we genuinely feel connected to. What makes Kuda Huraa so special is not only the extraordinary setting, the beautiful island and the consistently high level of accommodation and dining. It is, above all, the people. One of the greatest pleasures of returning every year is seeing familiar faces — members of the management team and staff whom we have come to know personally over time. They remember us, greet us warmly and make every return feel less like arriving at a hotel and more like coming back to old friends. The fact that so many people remain with the resort and continue to build these relationships with returning guests speaks volumes about the quality of management and the culture of the resort. The restaurants are consistently excellent, with a remarkable variety of cuisines and a truly impressive wine selection. There is a level of attention to detail throughout the dining experience that makes even a casual dinner feel special. This year, travelling with our young son, we were particularly impressed by how naturally and warmly the entire team welcomed him. The genuine affection and care shown towards him made us feel completely at ease as a family. It is these seemingly small things that ultimately make the greatest difference. For us, Four Seasons Kuda Huraa is no longer simply a beautiful resort in the Maldives. It is a place where we know people, where people know us, and where the feeling of returning is every bit as important as the destination itself.
