Huvafen Fushi Maldives

Our stay at Huvafen Fushi, especially with Takuru Sidu, was absolutely fantastic. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the facilities and service were flawless. We definitely want to visit again.

Every culture has its legends, myths, and heroes – on the islands of the Maldives, theirs are called: Chantal, Adam, Jinaan, and Nihan. We have just had the pleasure of spending some unforgettable days at Huvafen Fushi in the Maldives, and we can only give the resort our warmest recommendation. The island is small in size, but peace and a great atmosphere are always paramount here. We stayed in one of the larger beachfront villas, but there are also the iconic overwater houses, which can be rented at the resort. One of the highlights was experiencing the Maldives’ only underwater spa, where we were invited for a free visit as well as a boat trip into the magic of the night – thanks to Nihan for this experience. The food was delicious, and the service was always top-notch, but it works best if you smile yourself – as you know, “smile at the world and it will smile back.” As with all heroes of a culture, the islands heroes also has its superpowers: Chantal with her overview, something you can only dream, you will see her one day as a future resort manager, Adam with his kindness and infectious humor that lifts the entire holiday, Jinaan with her exceptional service, and Nihan, who opens up the island’s possibilities for all guests. As a family, we owe them all our thanks for a truly wonderful stay, at Huvafen Fushi – we will definitely be back!

There really are no words to describe just how wonderful my time at Huvafen Fushi was; it definitely exceeded my wildest expectations. The natural surroundings are beyond beautiful as are the features of the resort itself. Nothing was overlooked...even the shadows thrown by the lattice-patterned lighting over the pathways, the river rock that surrounds the pools and the pattern of the raked sand are beautiful and contribute to the peace and tranquility that is Huvafen Fushi. It rained quite a bit during my stay but it was almost as if that, too, was perfectly curated to enhance the calmness and serenity. I believe that a rainy day at Huvafen Fushi may be better than a sunny day anywhere else. Like everything at Huvafen Fushi, the underwater spa and dining were superb. The staff were warm and welcoming and were dedicated to making sure my stay at Huvafen Fushi was all I needed and wanted it to be...and it was. I truly had no idea that such high levels of service were possible; that one could be made to feel so special and treasured. I dreamed for decades of an escape to the Maldives yet those dreams paled in comparison to the paradise that is Huvafen Fushi. My time at Huvafen Fushi was a blessing for which I will always be grateful.

Our first holiday as empty nesters. All the staff at Huvafen made us very welcome from arrival at the airport, throughout our stay and until after check in upon return. We loved our beach villa and its 2 pools and the outdoor shower particularly. We enjoyed the lobster and champagne on our first night and thereafter dined at Celsius. We were always well looked after by Chantal, Adam, Shahid and their teams at Celsius (cannot recall every name). Nothing was too much trouble. Elfian and Mahesh prepared delicious fruit at breakfast. My husband enjoyed the diving with Steve. We explored the house reef snorkelling and made use of the gym daily. What a view from the gym! Our thakuru Soppe was exceptional, friendly, efficient and attentive (but not instrusive), a difficult balance to achieve. We had a wonderful stay despite the mixed weather. Having stayed at a number of other 5 star Maldivian hotels you will not be disappointed. We hope to return....

We went for our honeymoon trip with Getaways agency from Egypt. By far the best experience ever in all terms. Our private butler Soppe did an incredible job throughout the trip, highly recommended.
