Set within an integrated development, The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands hotel takes a minimalist approach to luxury. Modern waterfront villas include private pools; simple ingredients are transformed by skilled chefs and mixologists; healing is guided by directional energy and nature is explored with respect and wonder. The resort’s three islands and overwater quay serve as a base for discovering all the archipelago has to offer. One can experience the joy of a robust Italian espresso; share conversation over Cantonese tapas; toast to the sunset with a chilled glass of rosé or enjoy a local version of traditional Afternoon Tea among the seven restaurants and bars at The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands.

If you’re looking for one of the top 5 resorts in the Maldives, look no further than The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this property is in a league of its own. The architecture is simply breathtaking — modern, elegant, and incredibly thoughtful, with stunning circular overwater and beach villas that blend seamlessly with the turquoise lagoon. Every detail feels intentional and luxurious, making the entire resort feel like a work of art. The sunsets here are nothing short of sensational. Watching the sky turn into a canvas of fiery oranges, pinks, and golds while sipping a drink from your private pool or on the beach is an experience we will never forget. It’s pure magic every single evening. What truly elevated our stay, however, was the exceptional service. Our housekeeping attendant, Ismail, was absolutely wonderful — always smiling, incredibly attentive, and went above and beyond to keep our villa spotless and comfortable every day. At the Beach Shack restaurant, our waiter Micu made every meal feel special with his warm personality and excellent recommendations. And a special mention goes to our dedicated assistant Anth, who was instrumental in making our entire holiday unforgettable. He anticipated every need, organized wonderful experiences, and even arranged a smooth late check-out, allowing us to enjoy one final perfect day without any rush. The combination of incredible design, spectacular sunsets, world-class dining, and genuinely heartfelt service made this a true 5-star vacation in every sense. The Ritz-Carlton Maldives didn’t just meet our expectations — it far exceeded them. We left with heavy hearts and are already dreaming of our return. Highly, highly recommended for anyone seeking the ultimate luxury Maldives escape.

If there are Aman-junkies, there definitely are also Fari-junkies. We are indeed legit Fari-junkies, behaving like a pair of migratory birds finding our way there with our preferred nesting villas on the island annually. So what makes us return? Shouldn't we get bored of this place by now that we have pretty much done everything there is to do? Well, first off, we love the hardware aka the design of the villa and the resort being the most modern currently in the Maldives in our opinion, the size of the resort being not too small and not too big, the facilities and how even at 99% capacity the resort NEVER feels crowded. But what makes this place a real winner is really the people. Over the years, we really have compared other hotels of similar caliber and price points, and although the curiosity is there to change things up for a new experience in the Maldives or elsewhere, we do end up deciding to come back to Fari where our friends are, who really go above and beyond their job description to make every day special. We certainly aren't getting easier to please every year but they somehow manage to always push the bar up higher again and again. I'm genuinely curious as to when they will actually disappoint and give me a reason to quit on Fari. But until then, Fari is a dream I'd never want to wake up from. These are some tips I would share to first timers: 1) ask for details of any planned activities the hotel has prior to check-in. Plan your stay with some major activities, special events, drinks or dinners booked. You'd be surprised at how quickly time flies once you arrive. Don't spend your first day stressing over what to do and digesting resort information. 2) wake up early and go for a jog around the island before 6:30am. The sun is brutal and it gets roasting hot after 7:15am. Pop by into the gym for cold towels and water if it gets too hot outside. 3) join the special dinner events if you can. The team puts a lot of effort into making the events fun, food and drinks selection is wide and it's definitely more fun than eating in the villa. 4) try a Muay Thai session or PT session at the gym with Mahudy. So much fun and a great way to burn those extra holiday calories 5) eat lunch and dinner at the beach shack. Beautiful beach, sun, breeze, seafood, cocktails, evening stars and planets, fantastic people...need I say more. 6) if the a la carte menu or flavour profile doesnt work for you - ask the chefs/aris meeha / restaurant manager to customize your dish or drinks rather than leaving disappointed or dissatisfied. They can spice it up, create something off-menu, even make an entire meal off-menu if you ask or request ahead of time and they wont bill or surcharge you something ridiculous because you asked. It will be within the menu price range. Had my first Aris Meeha Moosa never picked up on my disappointment during my very first stay and did not tell me that I can ask for something else off-menu and that the chefs were more than eager to customize something - I would have left feeling like Fari wasn't worth it and probably would not have returned. I have yet to meet someone at Fari who wasn't more than eager to fix something that didn't work for us. Be it a cocktail that wasn't exactly on-point or a curry that didnt have enough spice or a experience that wasn't good. Give them a chance to fix it when they have the chance to for you - all within reason of course. 7) spa. We never had a bad massage session ever. Consistently good every year. 8) Dive. Equipments are good. Your safety is always number 1. They rarely mess up. 9) know what works for you. Some people want to try every restaurant and bar and everything on the island. If it is your first time at Fari, sometimes repeating things that feels fantastic for you leaves a better memory than scattering your time around for the sake of experience. There is a lot to do on the island and you will never be able to try everything in one stay anyway. Not everything they have on offer will be your thing. 10) Sometimes social media from Fari or speaking directly with the people onsite offers more information than from your Aris Meeha. Ask. Stay curious. Talk to the people on the floor. This is not your average resort with people just doing the bare minimum. 99% of the time each and everyone is empowered to do their best for you as long as you treat them with respect. Fari has become a pinnacle benchmark of what a dreamy and luxurious vacation should be like for us both hardware and software. Our favorite place on the island - The Beach Shack - has lost the old management and the core crew has been split up. Vibe is a little different with some new faces and we aren't fans of the new menu - but again, the chefs are more than happy to re-create the old dishes the way we prefer them. We did miss the old Addey and Amu combo and the chemistry of the old shack team, and it seemed we weren't the only Fari-junkies that felt that way. Special thanks to Anoos, Cake, George, Mikku, Ramesh, Ahnad for taking care of us. Chef Ibbe at the shack can make you some properly spicy Maldivian curries and Chef Rukmal can also make you some excellent Sri Lankan dishes as well - off menu. Just ask in advance. Summer Pavilion is our next strong favorite with Chef David at the helm. Talented chef and him and his team has definitely turned this restaurant around. I'd highly recommend the king crab dumpling and the lobster truffle Har Gao. If you are in the mood to splurge, the Peking Duck - which you need to pre-order a day in advance - is authentic and absolutely delicious. You can also enquire through your Aris Meeha for any special requests to the kitchen. Mine was for a grouper fish dish made Cantonese style off menu. Our special thanks also to Chef Thien for taking such good care of us. La Locanda does a great tomahawk for dinner. Great beef quality, almost wagyu like and the tiramisu was really on-point. Almost like eating it in Italy. Special thanks to Addey and the team. Mixology team is full of passion and energy with the highly decorated mixologist Eresta with an endless creative flair demonstrated in his drinks. Gustia's gin basil smash with fizz is our ultimate summer drink for us and we consumed a disgusting number of them this year. Brian at Eau Bar loves a good challenge and will gladly make you a custom drink. But so will anyone you meet in the team. We have an evening ritual to have a nightcap at the Eau Bar - i think the space looks more stunning at night than during the day. Special thanks to Hishu for his hospitality, and the team there for always making us feel welcomed. The head somm Nishanta is delightful. Always goes above and beyond and really focuses on giving you a lasting memorable experience there rather than just selling you a bottle. If you love wine, Nishanta is your guy in Fari. We had to make our way to Arabesque this year - and quite reluctantly too since we dont like leaving Fari island - because one of our favorite guy Amu was moved there from the Shack along with Modex. The hospitality and initiatives Amu organizes and executes every time is just beyond anything we experienced from anyone, especially when he just thinks of everything A to Z out of his own imagination. Unfortunately the kind of food at Arabesque isn't something we crave in the Maldivian heat and also when we try to eat more low-carb and keto. But Amu and Mo will take great care of you when you go over there. We just probably aren't the target audience for this kind of menu. Last but not least, our very soft spoken but lightening-speed whatsapp responder Aris Meeha Arafath. Always a flawless check in and check out. He certainly has a way of taking care of everything quietly but with a steady firm hand. And Marie, for securing our much needed preferred villa location. So, I guess all we have left to do is wait for the winds to change again so we can make our annual migration over to visit our most beloved island and it's delightful ladies and gentlemen.

You can get very easy by the boat at the resort . Everything is arranged by the hotel so you won’t have any problem to get there. The island was magic with wonderful villas which were not just beautiful but very very comfortable. Very clean hotel Very good restaurants Everyone was will say hello with deep respect. Every morning one of the hotel managers would ask is everything was ok. And our butler Pako who made everything for us to feel comfortable and to have good time. I still remember the surprise with the wine and hot tub he made for us one afternoon. He did everything with a big smile in his face. From my husband and I Thank you

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Unforgettable stay made extraordinary by our Aris Meeha Ammadey Our stay at The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands was nothing short of exceptional — truly one of the most memorable travel experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless and beautifully orchestrated. The island itself is breathtaking, with stunning overwater villas, crystal-clear waters, and a level of tranquility that feels almost unreal. The resort blends luxury with Maldivian culture in such a thoughtful way, creating a unique and immersive experience. What truly elevated our stay, however, was our Aris Meeha (personal butler), Ammadey. He was simply outstanding. Attentive, warm, and incredibly intuitive, he anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. Whether it was organizing our daily itinerary, arranging transportation around the island, or surprising us with thoughtful touches, he made everything effortless. Ammadey wasn’t just a butler — he felt more like a friend who genuinely cared about making our trip special. Many guests mention how he “handles every detail and responds instantly,” and we experienced exactly that level of service. The dining experiences were equally impressive, offering a perfect mix of fine dining and relaxed beachside options. Every meal felt curated and memorable. The staff across the resort were consistently friendly, professional, and welcoming. What stood out most was the level of personalization. Little surprises — from beautifully prepared villa setups to perfectly timed arrangements — made us feel incredibly special throughout our stay. Guests often describe these thoughtful touches as what makes the experience unforgettable, and we couldn’t agree more. In short, this was luxury hospitality at its finest. If you’re considering a trip to the Maldives, this resort — and especially Ammadey — will make it truly extraordinary. We are already dreaming of coming back

Our stay at The Ritz-Carlton Maldives was nothing short of exceptional, defined by a level of service that made us feel genuinely cared for from start to finish. The entire team went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our experience was seamless, warm, and personalized. A special thank you to Ammadey, whose attentiveness and dedication truly elevated our stay. He consistently anticipated our needs and made every moment feel effortless. I was equally impressed by Malik at the spa, who delivered one of the most exceptional massage experiences we’ve ever had. Both deeply relaxing and expertly tailored. This was more than just a luxury getaway. It was an unforgettable experience driven by remarkable people.
