The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands

We visited Ritz Carlton Maldives during our cruise with Luminara. My wife and myself very excited to visit and this supposed to be the highlight of our amazing cruise. Since the yacht and property are both owned by Ritz Carlton we stayed two days and we were informed that they choose to dock at property so we could use resort facilities. The reality was completely different. We were denied to use a chair to keep our backpack and lately we went to the pool. In some minutes a person came to us, in front of other guests and ask us to leave the pool saying that we were not allowed to use the pool. This was a very ashamed and embarrassing situation specially for my wife. I’m a Marriot Bonvoy Platinum member and was planning to celebrate my wife’s birthday at this resort next year. We left property back to the yacht and my wife didn’t want to return. The resort is very beautiful but is this the way they care about the guests?

We spent our honeymoon at The Ritz-Carlton, Fari Islands and had an absolutely unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, everything felt effortless and perfectly curated. We stayed in Ocean Villa 115, which was truly spectacular – waking up to endless shades of turquoise and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean was magical. Razaan and I-gie as well as all of the stadf were beyond exceptional. They anticipated every need before we even articulated it. Every interaction felt personal, thoughtful, and genuine – as if the entire team was invested in making our stay perfect. A highlight was the Japanese restaurant, which quickly became our favourite. Ennie made our evenings truly memorable and Sam was the perfect host. The quality of the food, the atmosphere, and the attention to detail made every dinner special. We also loved having a sunset drink on the pier – the view, the colours, the calm… absolutely gorgeous. I cannot recommend The Ritz-Carlton, Fari Islands highly enough. It was everything we hoped for and more. We absolutely loved it and genuinely cannot wait to be back.

The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands lives up to every glowing review: breathtaking villas, a perfectly manicured island, spotless and comfortable rooms, and staff who greet you by name with genuine warmth. We booked one of the overwater villas that connect directly to land and would recommend it over the higher-category boardwalk villas. We still had total privacy and could jump in the water whenever we wanted, but there was zero passing foot traffic. Dining on the main island felt limited: essentially four primary restaurants for dinner (two Japanese, one Chinese, one Italian), plus room service and occasional events. What isn’t clearly communicated is that guests have full access to several additional restaurants at the neighboring Patina Maldives (same owners; frequent and short evening boat transfers). We discovered Portico there by chance and had, without question, the best meal of our trip. Two recommendations: book the cocktail-making class with the endlessly cheerful mixologist Bobby - his smile and good vibes alone are worth it - and take the quick boat to Portico for the butter chicken. It’s legitimately life-changing.

Such an amazing place, but most of all we appreciated care and attention of the staff to all our requests. Shout out to Malika, our butler, Ismail at La Locanda, Katya, Jo, Rona and Tia at the kids club! You made our and our 4-year old stay so much comfortable and enjoyable!

Spent our 25th Anniversary and 8 unforgettable nights at the Ritz. This resort and staff are next level. Every single employee you meet goes above and beyond. The rooms are so well maintained, luxurious, well stocked and so, so clean! We opted for a sunset beach view villa rather than over the water one and loved having the lounge chairs on the beach. Our Aris Meeha, Pako, was so helpful. He booked our dinners and excursions, and really just took care of anything we needed, including driving us to dinners when we asked. He was super friendly, helpful and had a great personality! The food at all of the restaurants is excellent and varied. Breakfast buffet has every possible option! Loved the spa and our treatments. This resort is not to be missed, don’t second guess it or book somewhere else, it cannot possibly be better than the Ritz! Our only regret is that we didn’t stay 2 more nights! Thank you to Pako and everyone else that helped celebrate our anniversary over and over again!
