I stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Maldives for my 3-year anniversary, and it honestly turned out to be the best vacation I’ve ever had. The resort itself is beautiful and spotless, and the service feels so genuine from everyone you meet. The real highlight though was our butler, Shaghaf (Aris Meeha). She was incredible — always one step ahead of us in the most thoughtful ways. After we mentioned stargazing, she set up a surprise private picnic under the stars with champagne and snacks. Another day, she framed some photos she had taken of us and even drew us a bath to come back to. She went above and beyond so many times (she even helped me track down my sunglasses by checking security footage). I’d come back to this property in a heartbeat, especially if I knew she’d be there. It was worth every penny, and for the first time in a while, it felt like a real vacation.

We had a wonderful week at the Ritz-Carlton Maldives.The stunning environment and impeccable service were truly memorable. A special thanks to our Chinese-speaking ladies' butler, ICE, for her attentive care. She arranged everything for us, making the entire trip incredibly smooth. We also extend our gratitude to our housekeeping attendant, Mango, for his meticulous work. He kept our villa in perfect condition every day and delighted us with his creative towel art. Sincere thanks to both of them for making our stay so perfect. This was our third visit to the Ritz-Carlton Fari Islands in the Maldives, and every stay only deepens our love for the Ritz. The setting is paradise, but what truly makes us return again and again are the people who go above and beyond. From our very first trip in October 2022, Abu has been the reason we fell in love with this resort. He was our Aris Meeha at that time, and his attentiveness and genuine care were unmatched , not just for the Maldives but for any hotel I have ever stayed at. What’s remarkable is that on each of our returns, he has been in different roles across the resort, but always just as helpful , always anticipating our needs and always making everything feel effortless. Every stay feels like coming home to family because of Abu, and he remains the main reason we’ve returned three times already. Our most recent trip this july 2025 , we had the pleasure of meeting Mango, who looked after our housekeeping. He was great ,cheerful, friendly, and kept our three villas spotless. Our kids loved his little towel surprises shaped like turtles and sharks and manta rays. Evgeny, who we often saw at the restaurants and bars, was another highlight. Always smiling, warm, and attentive, he made every place we went enjoyable. A mention must go to Chef Pedro, the head of the resort’s culinary team. not only did he oversee some of the best dining we’ve had in the Maldives , their breakfast is some of the best we’ve experienced anywhere. he even shared a list of restaurants in his home region of San Sebastián for our future travels. His passion for food is felt in every meal at the resort. And of course, our day at sea with Captain Ali, Wadde, and Elaf was unforgetable from helping us catch a beautiful wahoo, to snorkeling with sharks, to simply laughing and enjoying the catamaran. They made it one of the best days of our trip. And also the catamaran was new and great. The Ritz-Carlton Fari Islands is paradise on its own, but it’s people like Abu, Mango, Evgeny, Chef Pedro, and the amazing boat crew and many more.. who make it extraordinary. We can’t wait to return for another visit next year.

From the moment we were greeted by Shaghaf, our Aros Meeta, we knew we were in good hands. She recently won Concierge/Guest Services Personality of the Year at the Hotelier Maldives 2025 Awards and she was professional, efficient, warm, friendly and fun. She looked after us like family and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. Shaghaf arranged late check out for us which was the perfect end to a perfect stay. Everyone should have a Shaghaf in their lives! We stayed for 7 nights in a Sunset Beach Villa, beautifully decorated and maintained and kept spotlessly cleaned twice daily by Mango who is a real asset to the housekeeping team. The service standards at RC Fari Islands are incredible. We felt like the only guests there, everyone was so friendly, customer focussed and keen to do more to assist or make our experience even better - we were already feeling so special and pampered! Everyone who passed would smile and say hello, the communication between the Ladies and Gentlemen is truly amazing, they delivered such a personal service with incredible surprises each and every day. We enjoyed the Sundowner and Elite Cocktail Parties, both of which gave us the opportunity to meet senior management and again feel like valued guests. Food was outstanding and beautifully presented and we especially enjoyed La Locanda, Summer Pavilion, Beach Shack and Eau. Given the high standards it is almost impossible to single out individual team members, but a special call out to Azu, Urgam, Naufal, Audy, Adey, Abu, Jessica, Annaf, Marlina and Evgeny for making our dining/bar experiences so memorable. We've been lucky enough to stay in other Ritz-Carltons and been blown away by the people and great teams. We can well understand why Fari Islands has recently been voted No 1 RC in the world. Overall, an unforgettable and incredible stay, it was our first visist and we will definitely return.
