Reviews for Jumeirah Mallorca

Stunning setting, but premium rather than truly luxury

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Pros: The location is spectacular. The views from the room and most of the public spaces are breathtaking. The gym is well equipped. Location above Port de Sóller was nice. The concierge team smoothly booked us a private boat charter and lunch at Ca's Patro March which we appreciated. However, it fell short in most of the details you expect at this price point. The majority of the staff were warm and helpful, but a few were lukewarm. One concierge team member sort of scolded us for being twenty minutes late to our own private boat charter (aka waiting for us by definition). It was a small thing, but it set a tone. We noticed a broader version of this across Mallorca due to the local frustration with tourism right now, so I don't want to single out the hotel unfairly. Still, at a hotel of this standing, guests shouldn't feel like an inconvenience. We also had red ants throughout the closet in our room. Staff were polite about it, but not especially apologetic. We were on our way out to dinner and instead spent close to an hour shaking out clothing while someone came to treat the area. They were reluctant to move us. We were told this is expected given the gardens on the property (which, reading other reviews, appears to be a recurring issue rather than a one off). This was an odd substitute for a genuine apology. The property itself feels dated. The finishes in the room and throughout the public spaces give off early 2000s rather than contemporary luxury. It has the feel of a large resort rather than an intimate one. We raised a few of these points politely at checkout and were met with a soft, half-hearted apology and general indifference. Was it a nice hotel? Yes. Would we return? No. For what we paid, this did not match what we would consider a true luxury experience. The consistency of service and the quality of the finishes fall short of the top tier. Premium, certainly. Certainly not five-star in the truest sense.

Completely in love with this hotel

We absolutely loved everything about this hotel. The view is the most magical we have ever seen. The service is truly exceptional, without a doubt 11/10— and it makes the entire experience feel unique. The food, facilities, and attention to every little detail are outstanding. They also offer excellent gluten-free food, which was a huge plus for us. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you so much for an unforgettable stay!

Restaurant review

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

As someone from Dubai, I am proud to see the Jumeirah name in Mallorca. The check-in staff were amazing, and the Sunset Lounge was truly extraordinary. However, our experience with restaurant reservations, specifically at Es Fanals, was totally disappointing. As hotel guests, we did not feel equally prioritized, and we were left with the impression that our Arab background may have influenced the way we were treated. I hope the management will review this restaurant management carefully and ensure that all guests receive the same fairness, respect, and hospitality expected from the Jumeirah brand.

The only thing that is nice is the view!

We booked a table a week in advance at 10pm before our one holiday a year together where we both celebrate our birthdays! We mentioned in the reservation TWICE that it was a birthday but at no point did they acknowledge it. Even worse when you have people sitting around you getting happy birthday sung to them and candles in their desserts. Drinks are very expensive but I get it because of the view! We even ordered a dessert in the hopes of a candle! We asked to sit on the front row but were told that it was reserved for in-house guests but if someone cancelled a reservation or a no show then we could go and sit there, we left at 11:30pm and every single table by the balcony was free. We’d rather have not been lied to. They only care about the people staying in the hotel and no one else! At the end of the night we mentioned that it was my birthday, still no care at all. Hopefully someone else gets a better experience!!! Avoid if your wanting to have a good evening 😅 Go to the port for a good night instead, and for half the price!!

Highly Recommend!

Our family of five stayed at Jumeirah Mallorca for five days in early July as the final stop on our 10-day vacation through Spain, and it was a wonderful way to end our trip. We arrived early in the day before our suite was ready, so we headed to breakfast. Although it was almost 11:00 a.m. and breakfast service was ending, Sara, the hostess, warmly welcomed us and happily accommodated us. She seated us inside as we requested, took our backpacks, and thoughtfully placed them at the table next to us while we ate. Every morning afterward, she greeted us with the same cheerful smile and welcoming personality. It was such a wonderful way to start each day. Our suite was gorgeous with an incredible mountain view. The property itself is beautiful, but what truly made our stay memorable was the exceptional staff. A few standout experiences: The Sunset Lounge serves some of the best sushi we've ever had. It is an absolute must if you're staying at the resort. Be sure to make a reservation well in advance so you can enjoy the spectacular sunset views. Eziekiel, our server at the family pool, was exceptional. As soon as we settled in, he brought us ice water and even surprised the kids with a tray of candy. He consistently checked in throughout the day to make sure we had everything we needed. Benny, the lifeguard, also immediately set up our towels, which was a thoughtful touch. We took the hotel shuttle to Port de Sóller, and Kevin, our driver, was incredibly friendly. He spent time talking with our son about the World Cup and gave us very clear instructions on exactly where he would pick us up for the return trip to the resort. Chiara at the concierge desk was fantastic. She helped arrange our car service to and from Palma, confirmed all of our transportation for departure, and even organized a packed breakfast since we were leaving very early in the morning. She was genuinely kind and incredibly helpful. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner at Cap Roig, where Naila provided outstanding service. She gave our children a mini Spanish lesson, explaining that it's always nice to learn a few words of the language in the country you're visiting. It was something we'd been encouraging them to do all trip, and somehow hearing it from her finally got through to them! The only disappointment during our stay was the check-in experience. When our suite was ready, the staff member who escorted us to our room was not very engaging and didn't provide any introduction to the resort or its amenities. We were left to figure out the layout on our own and didn't even know the complimentary shuttle to Port de Sóller existed until we spoke with Chiara while arranging our transportation. A brief orientation about the property and available services would have made a much better first impression. That minor issue aside, our overall experience was excellent. The hospitality from nearly every staff member we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuine. We absolutely fell in love with Mallorca, and when we return, we would happily stay at Jumeirah Mallorca again.
