Kimpton Aysla Mallorca

I rarely end up writing reviews for hotels, (although we’ve been to some great ones) but Kimpton truly deserves a write up for all the right reasons and the staff are what make Kimpton different to all other hotels I’ve stayed at. From first arrival to departure, the staff were superb at helping, advising and making our stay perfect! The reception team helped us navigate Palma (our first visit to the island), they were happy providing excellent recommendations which all lived up to expectations! It felt like they really did care about us having a brilliant stay. The team were always friendly, attentive and welcoming, this including everyone on the reception, breakfast, bar and pool bar team. The location was perfect for exploring the south-west of the island with most sights within 20-30 mins car drive (would recommend a hire car, taxis are ok but not always reliable) Free electric bikes are available at the hotel also! The room was gorgeous and the overall styling of the whole hotel was on trend and of a high standard of maintenance. The events hosted at the hotel, from live bands, singers & DJs were also a great extra! In a way, I don’t want to submit this and would rather gatekeep this hotel… but everyone should get a chance to know and experience how brilliant the Kimpton Aysla is! Fabulous six days spent at this hotel. Lovely hotel in great surroundings. The food and facilities are fabulous. The hotels biggest asset is without doubt the staff. They can’t be faulted. We will definitely be returning again soon. Thanks very much

Really enjoyed my stay here. From the spacious and stunning room with plenty of space to lounge, to the free breakfast, and helpful staff, i really wish i was able to stay more than one night and explore the rest of the hotel and spa. There was a really beautiful beach about 20 minutes away and the old town Palma is about 30-40 minutes drive (approx same distance from airport as well). Although, you could probably just stay on the hotel grounds and still have a wonderful vacation with everything they offer.

Unfortunately, the hotel is mediocre at best. Returned here for the second time, this time as we are attending a wedding nearby. Would have preferred Hotel Son Claret, but this was fully booked for a private function. First of all, the hotel is located pretty much in the middle of nowwhere (i.e. not much around, no nice views, 30 km/h-zone for longtime to get there) but that‘s also the fault of the location of the wedding… However, what really upset me, was the fact that we were initially given a room with a horrible view, which was also on the small side, despite having initially requested and been confirmed a room facing the golf driving range. This was finally rectified after we insisted. However, the hotel also managed to forget our restaurant reservation for our only freely available evening (and could not satisfactorily resolve the matter). Also, upon returning to the room, we noticed that apparently there is no turn-down service at night, i.e. curtains not closed, no slippers next to the bed, used glasses still in the room… - quite appaling for a 5 star hotel. All things considered, it is highly inlikely that we will ever stay again at the Kimpton Aysla Mallorca.

Had a few days here with my daughter, it's a gorgeous property that excels in all aspects, providing a luxurious retreat in the west of the island, among the golf resorts. For those that like to explore, complimentary shuttles on request take you to the nearby bays and harbour. And the brand new spa is AMAZING. Although the property gives the impression of being larger, because of spacious outdoor and indoor spaces, there are 79 bedrooms, with plentiful outdoor dining and bar spaces, among the beautifully landscaped gardens and pool areas. Each room from entry level is spacious and well-designed, a particular highlight that each room opens onto large private terrace overlooking the gorgeous surrounding grounds, with a separate access to the terrace from the large open rain shower!
