Reviews for The St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort

St Regis Marlloca temper your expectations on service level …… fell short of the house of Astor charm & service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

St Regis Mardavall Marllocal Resort Just completed a 7 night stay here even though it was a beautiful and serene resort, this particular St Regis fell short and the stay was underwhelming. Granted that I have really only stayed in a handful of St Regis properties and had great experiences this particular property cannot compare. For context our previous experience was at St Regis Palm Jumeriah, St Regis Bali, St Regis Cairo, St Regis Toronto. We were a group of 15 couples with 4 of us being Ambassador Elite members, and they have told me that my basis of comparing was skewed and unfair that I should not be comparing the likes of St Regis Palm Jumeriah to the St Regis Marlloca. I remain very curious would y’all agree. ROOMS/UPGRADES yes we did pay for base garden/resort view room and we got upgraded to a jnr suite partial ocean view which wasn’t quite as exciting as almost every couple there was put into a jnr suite partial sea view irrespective of status or being a Bonvoy member. I confirmed with another Ambassador who got the 1 bedroom residence suite with a private pool that it was paid for outright with stars & luminous program, not an SNA upgrade. However it was a decent upgrade that felt less special especially when the resort knew we were celebrating our anniversary, & especially that the better room categories (3-5 each) where available daily throughout our stay (checked the app and asked the FD) GYM. For the size of the property it was wholly inadequate as we had a few military and health enthusiasts/gym bodies in the group and they couldn’t all go at once had to time and stagger the use. FOOD & DRINKS Breakfast was buffet style and they hardly changed it up a little so it was just barely ok. Service time was terrible and extremely slow. Our party especially the seasoned travelers believed that they must not be used to servicing the large number ( the resort wasn’t at capacity they were more like at 60-70%) Dinner was horrible service was slow & lackluster food was mostly bland. We opted to start eating outside the resort. However the drinks were on point but pricey. EMPLOYEES/STAFF/BUTLERS Don’t get me wrong they were all smiles, polite and courteous but the energy, the vibe, was terribly lacking. I was honestly expecting the can do attitude experienced at other St Regis. This is the very 1st St Regis that didn’t go out of their way to assist and cater to your need/request (for example we asked for a van to take us somewhere at 2AM local time FDA & concierge turned us down without a 2nd thought or offering alternate solution saying it was after hours had to call Uber ourselves) Housekeeping wasn’t the greatest as you would still find candy wraps on your nightstand even after turn down servicing, had to keep requesting for bathroom items like mouthwash, shower caps, gels & shampoo, my experience at other St Regis these items get replaced regularly. Butler Services never checked in on us after the personal tour and room review during check in at other properties they checked in with us daily sometimes twice daily (St Regis Palm Jumeriah & St Regis Cairo, St Regis Bali once a day with daily notes in our suite) Welcome gift was just a plate of 4 sad looking oranges no daily or intermittent surprises during the stay was amazed they even remembered our anniversary and sent a bottle of Champagne to the suite. So in all not a terrible stay but I personally wouldn’t stay here again if we ever visit Marlloca again we would probably try the LC.

Exceptional service and beautiful hotel

What a truly stunning hotel – but what makes the experience unforgettable is the exceptional hospitality. We've had the privilege of staying at some of the finest hotels around the world, but the service at St. Regis Mallorca is in a league of its own. Lorenzo, the manager, is simply outstanding. His warm, professional presence sets the tone for the entire front of house team, who are genuinely some of the friendliest and most attentive people we've encountered. They consistently went above and beyond to make our stay special – nothing was ever too much trouble, and every detail was handled with care and warmth. It’s rare to find a team that works so seamlessly to create such a welcoming, five-star experience. Lorenzo and his team truly made us feel not just like valued guests, but like family. The location of the hotel is also great as it’s near the port and some nice restaurants. All the facilities at the hotel are so well kept too. We can’t wait to return.

A remarkable experience in the dreamy MardaVall hotel!

We would absolutely rate this fabulous establishment with 10 stars if we could! My partner and I were to spend a weekend last October and those days at the majestic Mardavalll honestly left us with memories that will surely remain in our hearts for a lifetime. For starters, if you are lucky enough to be assisted and guided through your reservation process by Petra, the lovely, attentive, and detailed-oriented reservations lady, you will fall in love with the property before stepping in. She went above and beyond to ensure the most fantastic experience. She is a gem! Upon checkin, we were given a friendly and warm welcome. All the staff members showed high standards, delicate manners and extra kindness. Frequent travelers like us always expect and thus appreciate being greeted with politeness and effortless smiles. At the Mardavall everyone aims to deliver an excellent customer service, which in my opinion is what essentially remains in the guests’ hearts when they recall their vacation memories. As far as our stay was concerned, we were upgraded to a spacious junior suite with a sea view that was mind-blowing. Our very favourite area was no doubt the main pool: the beauty of the gardens, the quietness of the place, and the kindness of the staff, always available and yet showing a discrete performance. At some point during the day, we were treated with a cocktail tasting to accompany our snacks! Another lovely gesture to remark: we were also indulged with a face splash presented by the gentle spa ladies. What deserves a mention apart is the impecable service we were delivered at breakfast. Of course, I won’t miss the beautiful setting, the colorful interior design and the exquisite seasonal products alongside with extense variety of food options. The staff members are beyond kind. Before dinner, guests are invited to a traditional ceremony, the sabrage, that takes place in the company every night over the years, and that has been passed on along generations. Additionally we had the honor to have the hotel manager Mr. Fernando himself hosting the soirée. So we joined, who can say no to a bubbling glass of champagne before dinner, paired with some jazz tunes playing in the main terrace! On top of the above, the hotel offers spa facilities which can also be an option to either relax or escape the sun in the hottest months. Lastly and hands down, it is settled in a convenient location for first-time visitors who plan a day out to not miss the opportunity to get to know the wonders this unique island is well-known for. The result is a 5-star luxury hotel that makes the perfect choice for tranquility seekers, seaview lovers and luxury demanding guests. We will be surely coming back this upcoming season!

Disappointing room

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We have stayed at this hotel many times and always had an enjoyable experience. This time not so much. I booked the same category room as always, deluxe ocean view and felt really cheated with the room we were allocated. Looking from the room all we could see was a large crane and building work. Had to go out on to the balcony to see any water . We were tucked away in the farthest corner . Not sure why as the hotel was not busy. I did mention to the front desk and didn’t get much response. Mentioned again at checkout , same person I complained to before and she never asked how our stay was and she couldn’t explain why we were allocated such a room!! Felt really cheated and disappointed. Must add that apart from this one person all of the staff were without fault. Photo attached to show our deluxe ocean view !!!

A Sanctuary of Luxury at St. Regis Mardavall

St. Regis Mardavall is a masterclass in understated elegance. From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable—attentive yet discreet, creating an atmosphere of effortless luxury. The hotel perfectly balances Mediterranean charm with refined sophistication, offering a peaceful and indulgent retreat. The Lobby Bar provided a relaxed yet stylish setting to enjoy expertly crafted cocktails, while the Arabella Spa was a true highlight—an oasis of calm with exceptional treatments that left me feeling completely rejuvenated. Every detail was flawless. It’s not just a stay—it’s an experience. I’m already looking forward to returning.

The location of the Mardavall is excellent and the hotel itself very beautiful - the rooms were large and very clean. Spa and wellness offers are phenomenal!
