Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa

Wednesday 13th August 2025. Tried in vain to book by phone as no one answered multiple calls and could not locate any online booking option. Being persistent and as a last resort, my wife and I packed and decided to ask on site if they had any openings. We arrived at the hotel and at reception were told that day by the pool was fully booked till next Sunday. Being there, we decided we had nothing to lose if we asked if there were any openings at the pool area. At pool area we were greeted in a friendly and professional manner and staff were able to accommodate our request. We were assigned two sunbeds and pre booked lunch time. No towels were supplied and no umbrella was available where we were seated. I am confident, that if we had made a request, staff would have supplied both. The main pool was refreshing and (for a change) there was a deep end (2.2m) where patrons can actually swim. For lunch we opted for ravioli and gnocchi. Both well prepared and tasty but portions could be slightly bigger. Great idea to have 2 different menus (poolside and seated in restaurant area) Overall an excellent experience.Would definitely suggest. Helpful staff, good food and incredible surroundings which create a relaxing atmosphere. My only suggestions would be to: 1. Create an online booking option (please let me know if this exists so I may amend the review accordingly). I did not rate 5 stars as booking felt like an impossible task. 2. Slightly increase the food portion 3. Shift umbrellas which are placed near the toilets to the vicinity of the assigned smoking area (toilet area is shady and umbrellas placed there are useless while path leading from restaurant to smoking area is not and there are not enough umbrellas to create shaded zones).

We absolutely loved our stay at the Corinthia Palace. The ambience was one of sheer relaxation - from a peaceful breakfast to a lounger by the pool or a shaded seat to read by the fountain. The staff were so friendly and helpful. There were excellent facilities - spa, tennis and a well equipped gym. We ate at the many dining options - the casual poolside restaurant, foyer cafe, formal Villa for dinner and the Michelin starred Bahia. The food & service was excellent. The Bahia menu was so creative & tasty and very reasonably priced. With regard to location, the hotel is located in a quiet area of Attard, with Valletta, Mdina, the airport, a choice of beaches all only 15 minute drive away. If you don’t have a car, the hotel bus drops & collects for Valletta and Golden Bay beach. I had searched through so many hotels on the island but the Corinthia Palace was absolutely the right hotel for us.

We have just checked out after enjoying a 9 night stay booked through Tui on half board rate. The hotel and staff are absolutely wonderful and we could not recommend the hotel highly enough. The Secret Garden is lovely on a Wednesday night with live music by the pool. The Villa Corinthia restaurant is amazing and for a more relaxed evening time, the Caprice had lovely tapas type dishes (although they are huge!) The rooms are big. We had a room looking out to the side of the hotel to the gardens. Which was very quiet. We sat on the balcony before dinner most nights and it was very pleasant. The pool loungers are very soft/comfy, and most are shaded by the trees. We mostly used the pool in the afternoon when back from day trips. It’s very tranquil and easy to fall asleep! Drinks service is by the buzzer on the parasol. We loved the mojitos! We took the free bus, twice to Valetta and also to Golden Bay. We enjoyed going out and about and it is walkable to places like Mdina, Valetta, and a park where the Greek theatre is. Sometimes we would do a big walk and then get a Bolt back to the hotel. Easy about around 14 euros from wherever you are. We took a Bolt to Marsaxxalok and then walked to StPeter’s Pool to jump into the sea lagoon. It was fun but so busy at the pool. If interested, go very early to make the most of the water. Gozo is worth a visit too, we did the open top bus and enjoyed the harbour stop where the swimming was great. Lots of bars to get food and drinks from too. Nearby to the CPH there is a friendly Irish bar a few streets away that has an happy hour and we also went to an Italian restaurant/bar for drinks most early evenings that is a short walk away. It is towards the old town where the horse trough feature is. There is also a pharmacy and convenience shop near here so you can get water / snacks etc. There is a religious tradition that has fireworks going off day and night across Malta. You get used to it, but some days they can start early, around 8am! Malta has been amazing, there is more here than I thought possible, interesting history and incredible architecture. Would highly recommend!

Very disappointed. We immediately on arrival asked for our room to be changed as it was so dated and needed refurbishment. Of course willing to pay for upgrade but to no avail. The Hotel certainly does not have enough sun beds and people were complaining about the shortage. Some guests were putting towels on beds to reserve them never had this experience before in a high star rated hotel. Staff around the pool were either excellent or did not care about customer service at all. On leaving the pool one afternoon I asked for some ice to be told by the bar tender phone room service 😑 We had breakfast and ate our meals out as we thought it was over rated and expensive. Very disappointed and will not return.

Had a great stay at the hotel — clean rooms, excellent service. Special thanks to Mr. Ramesh for his warm hospitality and outstanding attention to detail. He truly made the experience memorable!
