Corinthia Palace Malta continues to exemplify excellence but the Verdi Hotel Tunis, under the Corinthia brand, is in complete disarray under the new General Manager Mohamed Ali Jlaiel. His unacceptable behavior shouting cursing and publicly humiliating staff has created a toxic and chaotic environment. All staff members are complaining about his unprofessional conduct, which is severely tarnishing Corinthia’s prestigious reputation. Immediate action is essential to address this crisis at Verdi Tunis

A wonderful holiday at this quietly calm and sophisticated hotel, with just a touch of grandeur. Faultless service from staff in every role and at every level. A super location from which to explore the delightful Island of Malta: packed full of fascinating history. We shall definitely return.

I have stayed in many Corinthia properties around the world and have always admired their consistency, professionalism, and sense of refinement. Unfortunately, my visit to the Verdi Tunis Hotel could not have been further from that standard. What should have been a smooth and enjoyable stay quickly turned into a string of unsettling experiences that made me question how this property is even connected to the same brand. The atmosphere throughout the hotel felt chaotic and unprofessional. Staff seemed anxious and demoralized, and it was impossible not to notice the source: the general manager himself. Instead of setting a tone of hospitality, he was frequently overheard shouting at employees, sometimes in front of guests. On one occasion in the spa, an argument erupted so loudly it disrupted the entire floor. It was uncomfortable and deeply inappropriate. Even more concerning, safety and maintenance were clearly neglected. Important repairs were brushed aside, leaving hazards that directly impacted guests. I personally witnessed one guest slip near the pool area after staff had been berated for trying to log a repair. These issues are not just inconveniences—they are risks. What saddens me most is that the Corinthia name carries weight for travelers who expect reliability and care. Here, that trust is being squandered. Until major changes are made in leadership and oversight, I cannot recommend this property. For anyone seeking the true Corinthia experience, I strongly suggest choosing one of their other hotels instead

Our first trip to Malta I can only praise this hotel. There's nothing we had a problem with the service the staff cannot do enough for you, breakfast and general restaurant staff, amazing, do try the bahia restaurant upstairs You will not be disappointed, generally in the whole hotel. I can't say any more words than that, we have had a great week here. This is a good location if you don't want to be in the busy tourist areas.
