We were here for 4 nights. The property was spotless and the location was beautiful. We had one of the bigger rooms and it fit our family of 4 very comfortably. The staff were all so kind and said they were treated really well by the owners. They explained the changes they had made to avoid issues with carbon monoxide and we felt very safe. We would absolute recommend this hotel.

Our stay at Arenas was incredible from start to finish. As soon as you arrive you are well looked after by each and every staff member and the view from reception is where your shoulders drop and you instantly relax. Outwith the outstanding service, the biggest memory from our stay has to be the incredible nature - you are surrounded by animals and birdlife, you didn't need to even visit the National Park - we had our own private setting for it on the beach everyday! The a la carte breakfasts were a perfect way to start the day! If you're looking for a luxurious end to your Costa Rica adventure then this is it.

Our stay at Arenas Del Mar has truly been an unforgettable experience, and we can't recommend this hotel highly enough! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with impeccable service that made us feel right at home. The staff, including Luz, Michael, Grace, Allen, Gabriella, the beach lifeguard…all went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Special thanks to Maricio, our nature guide, who enriched our stay with his knowledge and passion for the local wildlife. Sorry for the staff names we have forgotten 🥰. You were all awesome. The little special touches, like making more popcorn for us on movie night, will not be forgotten. The food at Arenas Del Mar was simply awesome. Dining with a view of the stunning surroundings made every meal feel special. One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible wildlife sightings. We were fortunate enough to spot monkeys swinging through the trees, sloths lazily hanging out, and a variety of vibrant birds that added to the beauty of the landscape. It felt like we were living in a nature documentary! The hotel boasts a private beach with riding waves, perfect for both relaxation and fun. We spent hours lounging on the sandy shore, soaking in the sun and the soothing sounds of the ocean. Additionally, the pools offered breathtaking views that made swimming feel like a luxurious escape. Our room was nothing short of spectacular, featuring incredible views that allowed us to wake up to the beauty of nature every day . The combination of comfort and picturesque scenery made our stay even more enjoyable. In conclusion, Arenas Del Mar is a true gem. With its amazing food, wildlife encounters, beautiful beach, stunning pools, and exceptional service, it’s a place where unforgettable memories are made. Thank you to all the wonderful staff for making our experience so special! We can't wait to return! Cindy & Wayne Harlock 🇨🇦

Arenas Del Mar was the best vacation we have ever had. The service, scenery, nature, rooms, food and overall experience were top-notch. We can’t say enough great things. We cannot wait to return and make this a family tradition for years to come.

Food was the best we ate in the whole of Costa Rica, we had every meal in the hotel - breakfast, lunch on the beach and dinner during our 3 night stay. Enjoyed watching the monkeys, sloths and the Scarlet Macaws, as well as huge Iguanas and lots of crabs. Enjoyed sitting on the beach each afternoon after our morning excursions watching the waves. It was a bit rough for us to feel confident enough to go for a swim. It was extremely hot and humid during our visit so we got round the hotel using the readily available golf buggies. The hotel is very spread out and housed in different buildings so if mobility is an issue for you be sure to ask for a ground floor room, ours was up 6 flights of stairs. Also not easy to walk elsewhere, albeit we enjoyed a short walk along the gorgeous beach. Staff were very good and we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay.
