We had a wonderful time in Costa Rica and Arenas Del Mar was incredible. The service we received from Minor, Gabriela, Evelyn, Karen, Christian and Jorge was excellent. Thank you all so much.

Worth the price

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

In short: this resort is beautiful and worth the price. We visited in early December and experienced some rain (occasionally quite heavy) during the evenings and nights. However, this didn’t take away from the beauty of the place. The stunning views, the close proximity to the beach, and the daily monkey sightings make this resort truly special. The rooms are spacious and cleaned twice a day. There’s a complimentary laundry service, and the drinks in the minibar are also free and restocked daily. Just be sure to keep the cabinets locked: the monkeys will try open them and steal any food they find! Both on-site restaurants serve delicious food. As vegetarians, we were pleasantly surprised by the wide variety of vegetarian options, and even after five days, we never got tired of the meals. The service is incredible. The staff are exceptionally kind and helpful, consistently going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We also highly recommend the excursions to Manuel Antonio and the Rainmaker Reserve. A really good spot if you visiting the Manuel Antonio area. Pura vida!

Arenas Del Mar, Costa Rica December 1st, 2025. First visit to Costa Rica and feel very fortunate staying at this resort

We arrived at Arenas Del Mar last night December 1st, 2025. We had a wonderful dinner, red snapper and fettuccini with mushroom and a bottle of Pinot Noir with Cost Rican Imperial Beer. Service was excellent. This morning we woke up to an iguana sitting outside our balcony and nearby monkeys on trees and roofs. Yes, we are glad that we selected an ocean facing balcony room, (503B). The view is stupendous. Breakfast was magnificent, service quick, coffee, fruit, eggs to go including refried beans ( much better here than in USA. I enjoyed the cost rican coffee (take home) coconut banana pancakes and we had a chia bowl full of nuts, service was excellent. The concierge was very helpful this morning in planning our trip to Manuel Antonio national park and a sunset walk. Arenas Del Mar also has attentive attendants who will take you anywhere in a cart. Definitely a “5”. Very happy

Amazing restful vacation

Wow wow wow. Not the easiest place to get to but so worth it. The views are amazing. The rooms are comfy. Staff are all lovely. Breakfast is included and really good. Dinner was excellent. I can't find anything to improve on. Will return. Walking along the public beach to the national park is a must do and if you want to try another restaurant or pick up some snacks.
