Wonderful.

Johnny is the absolute man! Helped me and my pal Moe find fun activities and even would sit and chat with us for the fun of it! Truly a good guy. As for the restaurant, Yasmin was an absolute sweetheart and always got the job done with a smile on her face. Overall, great hotel, great people, and great vibes. PURA VIDA!!

We had a wonderful stay and the Shana hotel! The front desk was helpful and friendly upon checking in and gave advice for getting around the area and visiting the national park. Javier in the restaurant was friendly went out of his way to fill up my water bottle each morning. Everyone was very friendly and made our stay fabulous!

A Dream Vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shana! The rooms were spacious and clean. A balcony view is a must. We had a beautiful view of the ocean. The staff were friendly and accommodating. In no time, we felt at home. Johnny graciously handled our tour arrangements. Spa services were available for 50% off! My 90 minute deep tissue massage with Yesenia was fantastic! A week later I’m still daydreaming about the fresh coffee served up at the complimentary breakfast by Javier. He would always offer to bring a carafe of coffee to our table when he saw me fixing it. Also, Yasmin always ensured we were well taken care of at the bar and at dinner. Shana by the Beach will always hold a special spot in my heart ❤️

Excellent staff at every experience.

We stayed 3 nights in a standard ocean view room at Shana by the Beach. The room was smaller than the family suites, but the view was amazing. Every morning we had wildlife right outside our balcony. A sloth hung out in the tree next to our balcony each day, squirrel monkeys showed up around 8am, and capuchins came by in the late afternoon. They’ll be on both the balcony and by the pool (they’ll walk right up to your balcony and right above you at the restaurant/pool). The hotel has two pools (one adults-only), and access to a small private beach. Just note the beach can get busy and chair rentals with shade are about $20 for two. Location is about 15 minute drive to Manuel Antonio National Park. What really stood out was the staff. Kevin and the gentleman from Tunisia (front desk), restaurant, everyone we met was genuinely kind, funny, and helpful. The front desk was quick to find solutions, and the restaurant team made every meal easy and enjoyable. Golf cart rides are available if you need help with the hill. Only small downside: walls are thin, so you will likely hear neighbors. Overall though, we loved our stay and would absolutely recommend it

Manuel Antonio's best stay.

Loved everything about this hotel, the room, the view, the restaurant, the pool area, the walk to the beach, but best of all was the staff. Elieth, Don Javier, Derek, David, Kevin 1/2, are just some of the people that made us feel at home with their attention and great advice while in Manuel Antonio.
