Shana Hotel & Spa

We stayed at Shana by the beach hotel for 4 nights. We were already surprised at the arrival by the cleanliness and views. The check-in process was quick and we were told that the received an upgrade! The room we got had a jungle view and was massive! The beds were comfortable, and I liked that there was a thinner blanked under the thicker blanket. We booked this hotel for the pool, direct access to the beach and wildlife. These three goals were easily achieved! With the jungle view rooms we had monkeys visiting in the morning that was really fun! The walk to the beach was easily doable with shoes on, and the beach itself was great. It is important to know that the beach is not owned by the hotel, so locals rent out beach chairs, which costs a bit more money. It is nice that they offer them. The pool was very relaxing and the pool staff was really friendly and helpful. We did not had to go to the pool bar to order a drink and we were allowed to drink in the pool. Also during our pool time, we were visited by lots of monkeys and toucans! I was really amazed with how much wildlife visits the property. It made the hotel more special. Luckily, they did not steal stuff or food and were just really cute! The restaurant is nicely located with beautiful views and the food is also good. We did explore the town for the food as we wanted to try as much local food as possible, so we only ate once in the hotel restaurant. The service was great, when going to the restaurant or pool, you have to go a steep hill, the employees offer a ride up in the golf cart even though it’s just around 15 metres of walking, in the restaurant an employee called javier gave great tips of things to do in Quepos and was really friendly. We had a great time and want to thank everyone for the service! We were in room 210

We were fortunate to meet with the Restaurant & Hotel Managers, who both were very kind, welcoming and supportive. We were offered a room upgrade with a private pool so our son could swim during the larger pool renovation, and even given a complimentary lunch from the Hotel Manager. We highly recommend utilizing the Spa services! Yessenia does an amazing job at leaving you feel completely relaxed! I was able to receive the anti aging facial and was pleasantly surprised at what that all entailed! We were able to have our clothing laundered quickly and were especially impressed how well the cleaning staff kept our room organized and smelling wonderful! The hotel does offer access to the beach, which we went several times during our stay as well! All in all, we had an amazing time and definitely recommend staying, especially since it is so close to activities and the Manuel Antonio National Park!

The staff was amazing and is completely dedicated to guests. The owner, Shana, is a wonderful lady who is hands on at her own hotel and so concerned about guests. There were a few small issues which she handled efficiently for me personally and even upgraded me to a large suite with private pool and included a wonderful bottle of white wine. My stay here was fantastic and I will return

Great hotel in Manuel Antonio. Conveniently located and great views. The hotel staff really made the difference for our trip, Javier, Lisandro, Edgar, Andrei, Kevin, and Lester were such a great help throughout our stay. The breakfast was great and had a lot of options. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful place! Quepos is an awesome second destination stop after our time in La Fortuna; so much to do. Our Shana by the Beach experience helped make it especially memorable! Javier and others in the restaurant were exceptionally pleasant, helpful and informative!
