Shana Hotel & Spa

Hotel location is great, grounds room and staff Johnny at the excursion desk was very very helpful! The food staff at breakfast, lunch and dinner were great . Maintenance+ house keeping always helpful and rides from the room up and down the hill. Beach is great wildlife entertaining Johnny was very helpful to pointing out the clothes everyday he is great. Bar tenders great also!! Recomend

The Shana hotel is absolutely stunning! The grounds are breathtaking, especially our view from our beach-side patio on the 3rd floor! The wildlife kept our 7-year-son (& the staff) entertained & busy for our entire stay - from squirrel & capuchin monkeys to a sloth in a tree on the property to macaws & an agouti nibbling vegetation. The walk to the beach is a fun trek down & up & a beautiful little beach with calm waters & lots of pelicans fishing. The pool is lovely & the bar & food is great! The staff was always ready to help, whether it be with a ride in the golf cart, extra towels, more coffee or information about the area. Be warned though that when the staff tells you "Don't leave anything on the patio & lock your patio door," they mean business. The capuchin monkeys are fearless & will eat & steal anything from your patio; we saw them hanging from the patio door handler, so they also know how to get into a room. My son's soccer ball was a monkey victim. We highly recommend a stay at the Shana by the Beach hotel! Definitely a highlight of our 2-week visit to Costa Rica!

Beautiful hotel. My room was spacious and comfortable. Eric welcomed us at the front desk, and the entire staff was amazing. Very friendly hand helpful. Highly recommend staying here.

We’ve been in Shana by the beach hotel On our honeymoon and we had so much fun. It’s located inside the jungle and we saw a lot of monkeys and parrots and we could really enjoy the nature. The service was great every day room service that was cleaning our room and the place is very clean and we had a service of a golf car. They’re taking us from the room and into the pool. We could order a food from the restaurant to our room and the experience was very good and really recommend

We had an issue with the reservation we made due to our own fault. The hotel handled it professionally and with great customer service. Was very impressed with their understanding and helpfulness.
