Wow! We had an incredible stay here. It’s a beautiful location. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. The adult pool made for a wonderful base, and if you like beaches then you’ll appreciate the 10 minutes walk through the jungle to reach the idyllic beach! Special mention to Jalel at reception who welcomed us so warmly.

This is specifically a review for the spa. I did a 90 min hot stone massage with Abigail. It was top notch! The peppermint massage oil they used was incredible. She was professional and kind. She had great client attention to detail when checked in on the pressure she used and temperature of the stones to make sure it was comfortable for me. I’d absolutely do another service with her.

We loved a lot of things about our stay here. The hotel was very clean and we loved our spacious room with the plunge pool. The grounds are beautiful and it’s an easy hike down to the beach. The parking is a little dicey, which is to be expected with a resort built into the mountains. The views are spectacular, which is a fair trade off for having to squeak by other vehicles to get in and out. We were a little disappointed by our dinner (although it seems like we were in the minority here), but breakfast and coffee were terrific. The staff were also largely friendly and helpful. We would absolutely stay here again!

I honestly didn’t even know about this hotel before my trip. I used Pacific Trade Winds to plan my vacation, basically told them where I wanted to go, and they sent me a link with this hotel once they put everything together. From the pictures I knew it was going to be a nice place, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. One of the surprises was the walk down to the beach they have access to. It’s a short hike, but really beautiful. The water at the beach itself is kinda rocky though, so for sure bring shoes. I probably would’ve known that if I had actually read more about the hotel, but this was a last-minute trip. The people selling food and renting chairs on the sand was also a nice surprise. Breakfast was also really good. Shoutout to Edgar—I believe that was his name—who always seemed to have coffee ready for me. Also the pizza was delicious. My room had an amazing view. It wasn’t technically an ocean-view room, but I could still see a little bit of the ocean, so I wasn’t complaining. And definitely listen to them when they warn you about the monkeys. They literally tried opening my doors because I had food sitting on the table. Crazy bunch. The adult pool was also really nice and a good place to relax. Overall, I really enjoyed the stay and was pleasantly surprised by the whole place. Are there things they could work on sure, but nothing that would stop me from coming back to this beautiful place.

The resort was beautiful and the service was impeccable. Javier, Yasmin, Elieth, Lizandro, and Sidney went out of their way to get to know us, make us feel comfortable, and attend to our requests. The hike from the beach is very steep, can feel long especially after swimming, and the beach itself can get rocky. An improvement suggestion for the room: The flush system in the bathroom is slow and you have to press for a long time to get it to work (seems like it could be fixed). Also, for the price point: I expected the resort to have a gym/fitness center, offer yoga classes and onsite activities , and a sauna/steam room. The jacuzzi didn’t really work and was barely warmer than the pool. Shana could do more to live up to its resort status.
